King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 125 - 125 120 Exhausted Life

Chapter 125: Chapter 120: Exhausted Life Chapter 125: Chapter 120: Exhausted Life “He came for the human swordsman being treated here. Elder Salvador.” Before Muria could say anything, the elf girl jumped in to explain for him.

“As a son of the Titans and dragons, why do you seek a human?” Salvador looked at Muria with a nonchalant gaze, “Yaxibeien acknowledged him, but that doesn’t concern you, does it?”

“Ahem, in fact, besides Sir Yaxibeien, I think I am the closest to this human swordsman among the Titan tribe.” Muria rubbed his nose, “I was the first to interact with this human swordsman.”

“So, you came to visit him?”

“Pfft, he’s not that kind-hearted.” Hesel sneered at Muria, “The human swordsman dumped the corpse of a legendary sea monster on him, and Muria came to ask if the swordsman still wanted the corpse.”

“Is that so?” The elf elder had an inexplicable glow in his eyes as he looked at a slightly embarrassed Muria.

“Yes.” Muria glanced at the unhappy elf girl and nodded reluctantly. The two elves in front of him, old and young alike, seemed to have seen through something.

The ones who treat others as fools are indeed fools themselves.

“You are lucky.” The handsome elf elder gave Muria a deep look, “The human swordsman has just woken up, do you want to ask him now?”

“Where is he?”

The long-haired, radiant golden-haired elder raised his staff as tall as him, lightly shook it, and Muria experienced a spatial ripple he had felt countless times before, changing the scene before his eyes.

A boundless sea of lush green stretched infinitely to Muria’s vision’s horizon, all the way to where heaven and earth met. Within this endless forest sea, Muria also saw a few special trees, hundreds of meters tall, their leaves seemed to be carved out of jade, standing in between the forest, conspicuous like a crane among chickens, exceptionally outstanding.

Emerald glimmers floated around Muria, some green light spots slowly integrated into Muria’s body as they drifted, making him feel… rejuvenated.

“This is on the crown of the Eternal Tree of Life.” Muria looked down, surveying his surroundings. The Eternal Tree of Life, reaching a thousand meters tall, while its trunk was not as broad as the World Tree, was robust enough to allow him to walk freely on it.

“How are you feeling in terms of recovery?” The elder did not just teleport Muria over alone; he also brought himself and the elf girl to the tree crown.

The first thing the elder did upon arriving at the tree crown was look at the human sitting cross-legged on the crown and ask him.

“My injuries have completely healed.” The man sitting on a branch looked at the others, “There’s no more major issue, and I feel better than ever.”

“Are you, Sir Swordsman Ron?” Muria looked at the man sitting cross-legged, asked a little uncertainly. He found it hard to connect the young man before him with the middle-aged man he saw before, as if he was looking at a completely different person.

The man had cascading black hair, his eyes as bright as morning stars, not too tall or burly, yet he stood tall and straight like a pine tree, exuding a certain aura. Of course, crucially, this man looked incredibly young, approximately a human youth of twenty years old.

Were it not for Muria having seen him fight, remembering his Qi, he would never dare link this young man to the ordinary-looking middle-aged man with grey hair from before. They simply looked like two different people.

“It’s me.” Although Muria had undergone a change from a thirty-meter-tall Titan to a child barely over a meter tall, his shape-shifting spell was nothing in front of a real powerhouse. Therefore, Ron, the swordsman, saw through his true form at a glance.

“How…How did you become like this?” Muria asked curiously.

“This is his true form.” The elf elder, Salvador, intervened, “His previous appearance was the manifestation of his life essence being nearly exhausted.”

“Life essence exhausted!” Muria was shocked, which could be translated as: the Swordsman’s lifespan wasn’t much left.

The elf elder looked at the Swordsman: “I’ve inspected your body, it’s full of hidden injuries. Frankly, as one with a legendary physique, I really find it hard to imagine how you managed to sustain so much damage? Just how many battles have you fought?”

“I don’t remember!”

“…I truly didn’t expect to meet a human like you, who only exist in historical records, in my lifetime.” Upon hearing the swordsman’s response, the elf elder’s eyes, deep like an ancient well, showed a hint of ripples, “Can you tell me how old you are now? An approximate number will do.”

“Two hundred and thirty-six.” The swordsman said with a comical expression, “I still remember my birthday.”

“Over two hundred years, you really…” Hearing the response of the swordsman Ron, the elf elder wore an expression that suggested ‘I thought so’, he had had an approximate guess of the swordsman’s age earlier.

“A legend, even if it is a human, should have a lifespan of at least a thousand years at minimum. But your vitality isn’t even up to a near-end-of-life legend. Just how many times have you burned your life essence?”

“Too many times, I don’t remember!” The swordsman simply laughed.

“So, you came to challenge the Titans, but your ultimate aim is my elf race’s Eternal Tree of Life?” The elder elf looked at the swordsman, “You’ve used many wonders that can replenish life essence, but now only a few rare wonders are effective on you. However, the Eternal Tree of Life happens to be one that can replenish your wasted life essence, and you came for this, didn’t you?”

“I came for the Titans, to challenge them, to gain the qualification to observe Titan Lineage Sword Technique, the ultimate goal is to enquire about their method to break through the realm of legend.” The black-haired youth said frankly, not hiding his thoughts.

“I didn’t know in advance that there are elves living in the territory of the Titans, let alone the fact that there is such a treasure of the world here, the Eternal Tree of Life.”

“A method to break through the realm of legends? And you came here to ask the Titans?” The elf elder wore a hint of mockery, “Humans, for you, deityhood is the best choice. There’s no chance that you can embark on the Path to Epic. I’ve never heard of a close combat profession from the Human Race who has achieved Epic. There are a few mages, however.”

“Just because it hasn’t happened before doesn’t mean it won’t in the future.” Swordsman Ron replied indifferently, unmoved by the elf elder’s attitude.

“With your current strength, there’s no one in the human kingdoms who can match you. Even gods cannot stop you in the Material World. Building a church and nurturing believers would only take time for you.” The elf elder looked at the swordsman.

“Your physical condition has already recovered to its rightful status. Combined with your entrance into the heart of the Eternal Tree of Life, you can now live for more than two thousand years. Time is generous to you.”
