King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 123 - 123 118 Forest City

Chapter 123: Chapter 118: Forest City Chapter 123: Chapter 118: Forest City In the vast, ancient forest teeming with an abundant breath of life, under the pristine blue sky, amidst the boundless sea of clouds, two small figures flew by, leaving behind two long trails of vapor.

“I really can’t see the World Tree anymore.” Muria turned his head back, looking only at the slowly drifting sea of clouds. The towering World Tree had disappeared. As Hesel had said, a growing World Tree would naturally distort space around it as a form of self-protection.

“Nothing interesting has happened recently in the Eternal Island, but there was an incident that we Elves are not particularly happy about.” Saying this, Hesel glared at Muria.

“What?” Muria pretended to be clueless.

“Two days ago, His Excellency Titan Yaxibeien sent a near-death human to us, wanting us to place him inside the heart of an Eternal Tree for healing.”

At this point, the elf girl gnashed her pearly white teeth in hatred and continued, “According to Master Yaxibeien, this human has earned his approval. As a member of the Titan Tribe, you must have heard of this right?”

“I know.” Muria touched his nose. “That human had a duel with His Excellency Yaxibeien who was restraining his strength, and won his approval through his Swordsmanship.”

“Humph!” At Muria’s words, Hesel’s face didn’t look too pleased. “Why should we Elves use the essence of our Eternal Tree of Life to heal a human the Titans approve of?”

“Hesel, it’s not a loss for you to heal that human.” Muria said, puzzled. “Didn’t His Excellency Yaxibeien say he would give up all his shares? All for that human? In terms of consumption, humans simply can’t compare to Titans.”

“You don’t know anything, do you?” Hesel rolled her beautiful big eyes at Muria. “His Excellency Yaxibeien is on the verge of embarking on the Path to Epic. His body has almost outgrown the utility of the Eternal Tree of Life, so he has long stopped using it.”

“Uh..” Muria’s facial expression froze. He hadn’t expected this, thinking that Master Yaxibeien made such a huge sacrifice for the Swordsman Ron. Turns out he didn’t lose anything at all.

“So, in the end, you refused Master Yaxibeien’s request?”

“How could we Elves dare to refuse a request from the Legendary Titan? We just, well, we made some additional requests.”

“What requests?”

“I don’t know, the elders had a private discussion with His Excellency Yaxibeien. How would an underage Elf like me know?”

“But you’re royalty…”

“Yes, underage royalty.”

“So in the end, did you perform the healing on that human?”

“Yes, we did. We had sent him into the heart of an Eternal Tree.”

“Which Eternal Tree of Life?” Muria asked.

“Why do you ask?”

“I want to go see him.”

“What do you want with that human? Even if he was approved by His Excellency Yaxibeien, what does that have to do with you?”

“Ahem… I should be the first Titan to make contact with him.” Muria cleared his throat, and seeing that the Elf looked skeptical, he quickly explained, “When he came to see me, he threw the body of a legendary sea monster on my island. I just want to ask him if he still wants it. If not, I can help him dispose of it.”

Upon hearing Muria’s words, Hesel looked at Muria with disdain. She hadn’t imagined that Muria would be so shameless as to covet other people’s trophies.

Then she realized – after all, Muria was not a pure Titan, he also had a half dragon blood lineage. It’s well known that dragons — good or evil — are extremely greedy by nature.

“You really live up to the Dragon King Bloodline in you.”

“Hehe..” Muria met Hesel’s disdainful eyes, chuckling lightly. Let him be misunderstood. After all, what he just said really conforms to the nature of a dragon, especially a benevolent one — asking the other’s opinion before coveting their belongings.”

“Can you take me to the Tree of Life where the Swordsman is being healed?” Muria asked with a shy face. “Considering the magic of the Eternal Tree of Life, the Swordsman should be awake by now. I can ask him about the body of the legendary sea monster. If he disagrees, I’ll find someone to return it.”

“Sure.” Hesel sighed helplessly. She felt a bit contemptuous towards Muria’s words, but she could understand. After all, it’s quite unusual for a dragon not to be greedy.

A tree about a thousand meters tall stood firm, its stout trunk and branches twisted and sinewy, its leafy canopy wrapped in a hazy halo, casting down specks of luminous light.

Centered around this thriving tree teeming with the breath of life, a tree-based Forest city woven from vines and shrubs had been built.

High above the city, Elves riding Griffins or Silver Winged Pegasus were constantly coming and going, their graceful songs and the sound of musical instruments often echoed through the city.

When Muria arrived here with Hesel, all he saw was this peaceful sight.

“This is such a beautiful city.” Muria sincerely praised, gazing at the city. The inhabitants of this Forest City weren’t just Elves. There were also creatures such as Chimeras, Unicorns, Silver Winged Pegasus, and Griffins known for their love of peace and Lawful Good nature.

The elegant, huge Exotic Beasts and the comparably petite Elves lived harmoniously together. Just seeing such a scene made Muria feel content.

“Hesel, this is such a beautiful city,” he complimented. “Are all the cities of you Elves like this? All with such harmonious atmosphere?”

“Of course.” Hesel nodded affirmatively. “All the settlements established by us Elves are like this.”

“Hesel!” While Muria and Hesel were approaching the Forest City, several Elf knights greeted Hesel with warm smiles.

“Adult wood elves.” Looking at the green-haired Elves, the homely Elves compared to Hesel, Muria couldn’t help shaking his head.

There are over ten different branches of Elves, but the Silvermoon and Sun Elves hold the highest status and govern the others. This is, of course, due to their strength. Silvermoon and Sun Elves live the longest and have the highest potential. It’s only natural that they hold a dominant leadership role.
