Chapter 122 - 122 117 Eternal Tree of Life
Chapter 122: Chapter 117: Eternal Tree of Life Chapter 122: Chapter 117: Eternal Tree of Life “Can I go out and see?” Muria concealed none of her curiosity, asking Hesel. The sight before her eyes was too magical.
Although the World Tree was somewhat overrated, it was still astounding, with each leaf evolving into a miniature half-plane. Suppose it could continue to grow like this, could these half-planes evolve into real worlds someday in the future? A world on each leaf, how terrifying was that?
“Follow me.” Hesel grabbed Muria’s hand, and led her toward the edge. He walked her onto a nearly invisible path that one couldn’t discern without a close look.
“Is this the vein of the World Tree?” Muria looked at the plant-natural-pattern-filled path beneath her feet and asked the elf.
“Veins?” Hesel nodded, “You could think of it that way. But it’s not that simple, it is also a spatial bridge, connecting my little garden to the main world.”
During their conversation, Hesel stepped forward with Muria, and then, an intense life force rushed toward them. Muria couldn’t help but take a deep breath. She felt as if her body had lightened.
“Is this the World Tree?” Muria looked upward in shock. Layers upon layers of dense branches extended upward while in front of her was a sturdy trunk, as straightforward as a city wall, with no curves in sight.
She couldn’t see the top of this astonishingly massive tree in front of her, nor could she see the thickness of this World Tree. Looking down, clouds and mists lingered, even the ground was invisible.
“Wait a minute.” Muria thought of an inconsistency. She had seen the map of the Titan Islands and the Eternal Island of Elves was right next to the Titan Clan Lands. Although they both had vast territories, based on the size of the world she saw now, “I should have been able to see the World Tree from my house. Why haven’t I seen anything?”
“Muria, this World Tree has just come out of the seedling stage to protect itself, it has distorted all the surrounding spaces. Therefore, outside the covering range of the World Tree, the World Tree is not visible.”
“Seedling stage?” Muria looked astonished. She squatted down and touched the branch beneath her feet, and praised, “It really is the World Tree, even as a seedling, it’s this huge.”
Where Hesel and Muria, who had cast transformation magic, stood on this branch was very wide, even with two people standing side by side, it didn’t seem crowded. Muria felt that even if she were to revert back to her Titan True Form, she would not need to summon a Hurricane and could still walk freely above it.
And this ridiculously thick branch, for the World Tree, was only the tip of a normal branch on its trunk. One could imagine the massive size of the World Tree.
“How fun!” Muria surveyed her surroundings. On the branch where she stood, there were more than ten tender leaves, each leaf was very thick, so thick that even when Muria in her Titan Form rolled around on them, there was ample space.
Of course, Muria knew that these were just appearances. Every leaf here held a miniature half-plane. Or rather, each leaf was a prototype of a world.
“Hesel, isn’t there any way to see the full view of the World Tree?” Muria asked somewhat regretfully. She was standing on the World Tree, but she could only see a small part of it. Not being able to see the whole thing made Muria slightly unwilling.
“We can’t see the full view of the World Tree now. If we get too far away from the World Tree, we’ll leave this space, and our vision will be distorted by the space, so we won’t be able to see anything.”
Speaking up to here, Hesel paused for a while, “But there’s no way around it. As long as you can break through to the Legendary Realm, with your Titan bloodline, you can ignore the spatial distortion caused by the World Tree.”
“That’s still more than a hundred years away!” Muria curled her mouth, “That’s still a long time to wait.”
“More than a hundred years!” Hesel smiled, a hint of envy in her eyes, “That time will pass quickly, to be able to achieve legend in such a short time, I really envy you Titans.”
Muria was momentarily stunned, remembering that the elf girl in front of her was also an Eternal Life Being. And judging by the growth development of the girl in front of her, she must be at least a hundred years old.
But, elves don’t have the advantage like the dragons who can sleep their way to becoming legends. If they want to become stronger, they can only rely on their own cultivation. And as eternal beings, to be honest, they hardly find anyone particularly diligent. The Titan Tribe is indeed an exception among the Eternal Life Beings.
“How old are you? Hesel?” Muria asked curiously.
“I am a hundred and fifty-six years old this year.” The young elf girl laughed somewhat embarrassedly, then, she waved her fist proudly at Muria, “But in another twenty-four years, I will come of age, and at that time, I am going to hold a grand Coming of Age Ceremony.”
“Then, would you invite me to attend by then?” Muria joked with a smile.
“Of course.” Hesel flashed a smile at Muria, boldly pinched her soft cheek, “I will invite you. You are my first student after all.”
“You said I don’t have to call you teacher!” Muria slapped away Hesel’s palm and glared at the elf girl.
“You don’t have to, but since you called me Teacher before, the fact that you are my student is established.” The elf girl gave a delightful laugh which caused Muria to stare at her blankly for a moment.
But Muria quickly snapped back, turned around, and brought up the purpose of her initial visit to the Elf territory: “Hesel, since I cannot see the full view of the World Tree, could you take me to see the Eternal Tree of Life? I’ve heard that the World Tree was evolved from the Eternal Tree of Life. And the Eternal Tree of Life should not have the power to distort space like the World Tree, right?”
“This it doesn’t.” Hesel agreed without giving it too much thought.
“Come with me, Muria, I will take you to see the Eternal Tree of Life.” The silver-haired elf leapt off the branch, falling toward the boundless white fog below. From her back, silver light emerged, transforming into two pairs of wings as thin as cicada wings.
“We’re flying there!” Muria glanced around, a bit resigned. In the Titan Clan Lands, regardless of whom she wanted to find or where she wanted to go, she would simply let Cassio build a teleportation array. Now that she has arrived at the Eternal Island of Elves, she actually had to fly.
“Oh!” Muria sighed slightly, also leaped headlong, and the robe on her back automatically split into two. A pair of wide dragon wings stretched out. A gentle breeze wrapped around her, accelerating her speed, allowing her to catch up with the elf girl who had flown away earlier, traveling side by side with her.
“Hesel, has anything interesting happened in the Elf Race territory recently?” Muria, who was flying side by side with Hesel amid the vast cloud sea, asked seemingly casually.
“Interesting events?” The elf girl frowned and thought for a while, then shook her head. Indeed, something had happened in the Elf Race recently, but it was not interesting.
