Chapter 106: Extra Story (Chapter 94.5) Chapter 106: Extra Story (Chapter 94.5) Pure white Blazing Sky Fire, tinged with a hint of scarlet, blazed on Michaela, her ten wings spread out, looking like a small radiant sun, emitting endless light and heat.
“Clang!” The gallant Blazing Sky Girl reached out and held her clenched fist, the raging flames rushing into her hand. A metallic tremble was heard, and in Michaela’s hand, a long spear completely forged from the Blazing Sky Fire took shape.
“There’s really no need for anything else.” Muria clicked his tongue, Michaela wore a battle robe which had no auxiliary effects, other than that, there was nothing else, even her weapon was formed of the flames.
“Boom!” The rumbling of thunder echoed across the arena. An almost endless surge of golden thunderbolt burst from Muria’s body, staining half of the arena gold with the thunder that shrouded him. The blistering Dragon Flames ignited on Muria’s body, and an invisible storm was spreading.
Immediately after, a metallic clanging resounded across the arena. A weapon formed from both thunder and Dragon Flames appeared in Muria’s hand. It was a long weapon similar to a spear, but on both sides of the spearhead, crescent-shaped blades were connected to it.
“What sort of weapon is this?” asked one of the Blazing Sky God Descendants, puzzled.
“I’m not sure. I’ve never seen it before.”
“It seems like a very interesting weapon.” Titan Yatrein looked at the Square Heaven Halberd, formed from the thunder in Muria’s hand with great interest.
“This style of weapon seems to require extraordinary skill to wield freely.” The seasoned Titan could tell at a glance that the weapon in Muria’s hand was unique.
“Heh, I’ll make one of my own when we’re done here.”
The Square Heaven Halberd, in Muria’s past life, was usually used as an object of ceremony, rarely seen in actual combat. However, it was not that it couldn’t be used in combat, but it required too much strength and skill from the wielder. In ancient times, those who could wield the halberd were without exception formidable warriors who could dominate the battlefield.
But for the Titans, there are no restrictions and requirements for using the halberd. Their great strength and excellent combat skills are standard for every Titan, all of them are masters of all weaponry.
“Michaela, since you gather your weapons from your own power, I will do the same with thunder and flames, so I won’t have an unfair advantage.” Muria pointed at the Blazing Sky Girl with the halberd in hand, his face showing no emotion, his eyes displaying indifference, devoid of any excess feelings.
No sooner had the words left his mouth, a violent wind howled, an incredibly brilliant white rainbow aimed straight for Muria’s forehead, seemingly eager to kill him, showing no regard whatsoever for his identity.
“Clang!” The metallic clash of weapons resounded as the halberd in Muria’s hand collided with the long spear in Michaela’s hand. Gold and white sparks were scattered around, array patterns on the ground began to glimmer; golden thunderbolt was flashing between them, moving from Muria towards Michaela.
Fending off the long spear in Michaela’s hand with the halberd in his right hand, Muria swung out a punch with his left hand, wrapping the wind and thunder around it. The fist, formed of windblade and thunderbolt, swung towards the tall Blazing Sky Girl, sounding like a warhammer.
The air twisted and oscillated. In the direction of Muria’s punch, the air was forced apart by his power, making a mournful explosion. Subsequent sound explosion rings spread out along the track of the vacuum created by the impact of Muria’s punch, highlighting the power of the Titan.
Muria also did not hold back any strength, seemingly attempting to take down his beloved divine lady.
Both Muria and Michaela were extremely confident in themselves and also believed in each other’s strength. They were both sure the other party would be able to handle this level of attack.
Faced with Muria’s Wind and Thunder Punch, the Blazing Sky Girl jolted her arm, dispelling the halberd before her, countless flames congregated around her calf, forming an angular leg guard. With her long leg raised, she kicked and shattered the Wind and Thunder Punch, the air flow filled with sparks of electricity swept around.
Seeing his full force punch repelled, Muria showed no signs defeat, the halberd in his hand shattered and turned into a thunder-fire storm, rushing towards Michaela. Unflappable, the Blazing Sky Girl’s long spear dissolved into a wall of fire, blocking Muria’s attack.
A hot and wild hurricane raged around Muria, bursting into the sky, wrapped in Dragon Flames and embroiled with thunder. The Titan, who had now grown to thirty-six meters tall, took a step forward.
On the ground of the arena, array patterns that prevented the arena from being destroyed by the battle, centered around Muria’s foot, spread rapidly around. Soon enough, array patterns for a large part of the arena lit up.
“Boom!” An unprecedented rumbling echoed in the arena. Muria took a step forward. The horrifying physique endowed by the Titan and Dragon King Bloodline allowed him to break the sound barrier with his speed in an instant. The air was squeezed by Muria on one side, making a violent explosive sound.
His massive formidable body instantly rushed to the front of Michaela, his right arm raised, the muscles full of strength bulged, following that a huge fist encapsulated by Wind, Thunder and Flames struck the Blazing Sky Girl’s delicate face without a shred of tenderness.
In her battle form, Michaela, whose ten wings were spread out, looked slender compared to Muria, but she, surrounded by Blazing Sky Fire, displayed vigor not in the least inferior to Muria’s.
Seeing Muria preparing for close combat, Michaela showed no fear; instead, her flames blazed brighter, and a hint of a smile crept onto her previously indifferent face.
Because the Muria standing before her now filled her with satisfaction. Such a Titan was worthy of the time she had spent suppressing herself for over a year.
Facing Muria’s fist, Michaela reached out and gripped it with her blazing hand. There was a soft crack of fracturing bone.
“Not bad at all,” said Michaela, looking at Muria’s impassive face while her body flew backwards, leaving a long trail of flames in the expansive Arena.
Second-Circle Spells, Mechanized Mind.
Muria’s eyes showed no emotion. After punching Michaela into the air, he relentlessly pursued her, running through the wild wind. Spears of thunder formed, shooting towards the Blazing Sky God Descendant.
“Hmph!” Looking at Muria’s relentless assault, Michaela let out a derisive laugh. Her ten wings expanded, and arrows of light erupted like feathers, striking down Muria’s thunder spears midflight and scattering them into shattered arcs of electricity in the air.
“Hmph!” Seeing all of his thunder spears shattered, countless arrows of light retaliated against him. Muria sneered, and golden Dragon Flames engulfed his body, forming a flame armor, blocking all the arrows of light.
Reaching Michaela, Muria stomped down without hesitation. Under the sheath of scorching fire, Michaela, her figure slightly blurred, looked up at Muria and softly smiled.
Seeing this smile, a sense of impending doom rose in his heart. Muria’s foot pressed down upon Michaela’s chest. Yet the Blazing Sky Girl did not resist at all.
“Boom!” Michaela’s body was directly crushed under Muria’s foot. But instead of blood, her body collapsed and exploded into clusters of flames. These flames coalesced into chains that instantly wrapped around Muria’s ankle.
“A trap!” Just as Muria thought this, a profound force struck his back. Under this force, Muria was propelled forward, transforming into a golden streak of light, hitting the rising Elemental Barrier of the Arena.
“Cough!” Muria spit out pales gold blood. From his third-person spiritual perspective, he “saw” an astonishing dent appear on his back.
“Tsk, such a heavy hand,” mumbled Muria, grimacing from the intense pain in his body.
If he were still human, an injury like this would send him straight to the crematorium. But now, he only had to endure the pain and the uncomfortable sensation of healing. His wounds were rapidly mending.
The muscles torn by brute force were regenerating at high speed. The broken bones were realigning under the onslaught of blood, gradually returning to their right place. Then, under the raging life energy that poured from Muria like a furnace, they swiftly healed.
“Michaela.” Muria murmured the name of the woman he had once pledged to pursue. Behind him, a pair of wings covered with golden dragon-scale feathers unfolded. Then, with a flutter of these dragon wings, he shot towards the Blazing Sky Girl, whose palm was smeared with blood, and they rejoined the fight.
In the vast Arena, golden thunderbolts flashed, wild winds howled, the sacred Blazing Sky Fire and the domineering Dragon Flames intertwined, radiating light and heat. The temperature in the Arena continued to rise, seemingly about to melt the air.
The battle raged on. After the moment that Muria spat out blood, his fighting style grew even more ferocious. His initial intent to hold back completely evaporated, because Muria continuously cast one spell—Mechanized Mind.
Light gold blood occasionally sprayed from above, but on the ground of the Arena, there were liquid flames flowing like a river. That was the blood of Michaela, which looked very much like fire.
…No one knew how much time had passed, but the flames around Michaela no longer blazed as fiercely as before. They could not entirely envelop her body, her power was nearly exhausted, she was on the brink of collapse.
However, Muria wasn’t faring any better than Michaela. The thick thunderbolts coiling around him had turned into small electric arcs. His Dragon Flames no longer burned, and his winds had become a mere shell of their former selves.
“The final blow.” Muria murmured, the remaining power in his body gathered, condensed into a tangible Square Heaven Halberd.
“…” Seeing Muria’s movements, Michaela’s flaming wings gathered towards her hand, morphing into a simple long spear.
“Clang!” The moment their weapons formed, both spread the wings on their backs and turned into two rainbows, colliding with each other. Splashing was the light gold blood carrying the Blazing Sky Fire.
“I win!” Muria’s hand clenched the long spear piercing through his chest, while he pointed the halberd in his other hand at the pale neck of Michaela.
