Chapter 1040: Chapter 1027: Whoever Wants to Break It Up Can Go Chapter 1040: Chapter 1027: Whoever Wants to Break It Up Can Go “Hmm? Break up a fight? Who are you going to get to break up a fight?”

Upon hearing the suggestion to break up a fight, a military officer responsible for coordination at the headquarters immediately asked, looking at his colleague who had made the suggestion, “Why don’t you go?”

“Are you kidding me? With my small stature, I’d be killed the moment I got up there.” Although he knew his colleague was joking with him, the officer proposing still shook his head like a rattle drum. He was genuinely afraid the commander might impetuously send him in to break up the fight. In a godly fight, what place does a mortal like him have to intervene?

“I mean, is a fallen martial artist family that terrifying? I can understand the Emperor Martial Honor, as everyone says he is a martial arts prodigy that comes around once in five thousand years. But the one who has come now, the Dominating Martial Honor, is just as terrifying, capable of fighting the Emperor Martial Honor to a standstill.”

At this moment, a female signaler, watching the battle situation projected in their headquarters, exclaimed in amazement.

The scene before her completely shattered her worldview because, in her mind, Star Armor Masters were the most powerful until now when she witnessed existences that exceeded them.

“The Dominating Martial Honor is ten years older than the Emperor Martial Honor. It’s normal for their fight to be evenly matched now. I’ve heard that the Dharma Appearance cultivated by the Emperor Martial Honor is very special.”

“It’s good that they’re evenly matched, that’s better!” The elderly supreme commander, looking at the scene before him, inadvertently revealed a slight smile. He was naturally aware of the Empire’s arrangement to try to win over this Martial Supreme.

There was no need to mention Emperor Martial Honor Jelos Douglas, as the Empire had no hope of wooing him, but it was different for the Dominating Martial Honor Aine.

According to the information they had gathered, this Martial Honor had an extremely difficult childhood. Such a miserable upbringing was bound to make him feel little sense of belonging to the Federation.

If the Empire offered significant rewards to this Martial Honor at that time, the chances of winning him over were quite substantial. Based on the possibility of recruiting this Martial Honor, the commander was naturally very pleased to see that his strength could match that of the Emperor Martial Honor.

Because it also meant that the Dominating Martial Honor possessed battle power equivalent to that of the Emperor Martial Honor, meaning he could also eliminate five Different Species generals with exceptional combat power in a short time, perfectly meeting the Empire’s expectations for this Martial Honor.

However, following his joy, the supreme commander also fell into concern. How was he going to stop these powerhouses whose combat strength was off the charts?

Was he supposed to deploy ten Star Armor Masters to stop them? What a joke. Even if he could pull ten Titled Star Armor Masters, they might not be able to stop the combat between these two powerhouses. This battle power configuration would just give the two an opportunity to join forces, and then wipe out all the mediators within twenty minutes.

“How can we dissuade them?” The previously delighted supreme commander now fell into silence. He too had no idea how to handle the situation.

“Why don’t we just stay out of this matter? Let them fight it out, and maybe they’ll stop after getting their fill.”

“But by the look of it, they seem determined to fight to the death before they’ll stop!” An officer watching the screen, where the sky seemed on the verge of collapse from the aftermath of the two Martial Supremes’ fight, said with much concern.

“They can fight each other, but fighting to the death is absolutely unacceptable. Each of them is an irreplaceable treasure among humans, and nothing can happen to either of them.”

The supreme commander spoke at this moment, his tone now incredibly firm. Although he had some dissatisfaction with the Douglas family for obstructing his arrangement for Jenos, he expressed understanding of their feelings. If he had such an outstanding junior in his clan, he might make a similar move.

“Deploy the ‘Crimson Blade,’ ‘Mountain Crasher,’ ‘Speed Demon,’ and ‘Shadow Hunter’ Star Armor Masters to the Norman Defensive Line.”

After pondering for a while, the supreme commander issued an order. As soon as they heard his command, the majority of the headquarters sprang into action, beginning to relay his command. However, his adjutant cautiously approached and voiced his confusion.

“Commander, sending four Star Armor Masters seems a bit insufficient, doesn’t it?”

“More than enough.”

“Huh!” The adjutant was dumbfounded, finding himself completely unable to grasp his superior’s thinking.

“Sigh.” The supreme commander saw his adjutant’s confused look and sighed helplessly. Although he had been consciously trying to cultivate his adjutant, the fellow always seemed somewhat unintelligent.

“The Emperor Martial Honor and the Dominating Martial Honor are fighting above the Norman Defensive Line, a place that doesn’t fall under the control of our Empire. Do you understand?”

“You mean that the Different Species might spy on the battle between these two Martial Supremes and attempt to take advantage of the situation? So, you’re deploying four Titled Star Armor Masters to prevent these Different Species from getting any crooked ideas?” The adjutant immediately caught on.

“Indeed.”

“I will immediately urge them to convey the order.” The adjutant, understanding his superior’s thoughts, immediately assumed a solemn expression, for the Martial Supreme’s safety must not be compromised.

In Starfall Plain, a magnificent city covering hundreds of square kilometers stood tall. Spiral buildings within the city reached straight into the sky. The whole city gleamed with a metallic luster, and its purple-black light flickered on and off, as if the city itself were breathing.

In the city’s very center, a tower that soared three thousand meters into the clouds was punctuated by a spiraling summit that incessantly spewed forth purple-black runes, forming brilliant bands of light that danced around the spire.

At that moment, a strangely-shaped humanoid creature riding a fierce monster flew toward this tall tower. Atop the tower, black-purple light flickered rapidly three times and then returned to normal.

Approaching the tower, the humanoid creature leapt from its mount into the inside of the tower, where a purple-black light flashed and he directly entered the interior, emerging within a corridor entirely constructed of metal.

For such a change, the humanoid Different Species was not surprised at all, as he strode through the corridor with great strides. His hooves clashing against the metal floor sparked a shower of sparks, and his sturdy body seemed to make the entire corridor tremble as he ran.

“My King,” the general, dressed in armor that perfectly conformed to his body, entered a hall and knelt before an entity radiating a terrifying aura.

“What is it?” The being in the hall looked at a ten-meter-high transparent wall in front of him, overlooking the entire city.

“The Emperor Martial Honor you ordered us to keep a close eye on has just encountered an incident; he is now engaged in battle with an unknown human,” the general replied with respectful tone, having returned immediately with the news.

“Battling a human?” The being, gazing over the city below and pondering something, became interested upon hearing this news. He leaned forward slightly and turned his head, showing a face filled with intrigue.

“Yes, according to our intelligence, the one fighting the Emperor Martial Honor is indeed a human. If there are no surprises, that human should also be a Martial Artist.”

“Another Martial Artist?” The entity known as My King was somewhat surprised, “While nearly extinct among the humans, we now see two appear consecutively, each displaying great combat prowess, how interesting.”

“How should we respond?” the Different Species general asked cautiously.

“I hear that Emperor Martial Honor took only a quarter of an hour to kill five of my generals. With such strength, I would truly like to deal with him personally, but unfortunately, I am being watched and cannot act rashly,” the Alien King said, his gaze settling on the kneeling general. “But it seems you won’t be able to handle him on your own.”

“My King, we may not stand a chance in a head-on conflict, but now that Emperor Martial Honor has engaged in conflict with another Martial Supreme, if we wait for the opportunity, there might be a chance to eliminate him from this world.”

“But more likely, you would all be dealt with by these two Martial Supremes. Whatever grievances they have between them, they are still human, and if you attack them, they are very likely to join forces first to eliminate you.”

“My King, one Emperor Martial Honor already poses a significant threat to us, but now another Martial Supreme has appeared, capable of rivaling him. If this continues, we stand to lose a great deal of our advantage.”

“Then you should work hard to refine your skills and grow stronger quickly. With us here, humans wouldn’t dare come over,” the Alien King raised his head, continuing to survey the city below.

In his eyes, the battles of his generals with the human Titled Star Armor Masters were trivial skirmishes that could not change the fundamental situation.

Even those two Martial Supremes were only slightly threatening, having little impact on the overall strategy. Moreover, in his plan, he believed he could eliminate these two Martial Supremes anytime if he so desired.

“You may leave. Whether you take action or not is up to you to decide.”

“As you command!” The general, who had specifically come to inquire yet received such an ambivalent answer, bowed his head reluctantly, then slowly backed out of the hall, aware that their king did not hold his generals in high regard, and was concerned only with the race’s continuation.

“There should be a few who will take action, I hope they do not disappoint me too much,” mused the Alien King, his profound gaze following the departing general. “Emperor Martial Honor may indeed be very powerful to you, but I hope this experience sharpens you, making you stronger.”

The general, who had come seeking permission, did not disappoint the Alien King’s expectations. He relayed the will of the Alien King to all of his generals, and naturally, some of the generals became eager to act.
