Chapter 1022: Chapter 109: Don’t be afraid, come on, you might win Chapter 1022: Chapter 109: Don’t be afraid, come on, you might win When Muria’s words rang out, the entire awards ceremony venue instantly fell into silence. The presenter standing beside him turned his head in confusion, then immediately reacted, “Sir Jelos, what are you talking about?”

“I’m not talking nonsense. You can step aside; what happens next has nothing to do with you.”

Muria, smiling, pushed the female presenter who had rushed to his side to one side, and then turned to the microphone, looking down at the silent awards ceremony venue and the many journalists.

“I know some of you aren’t convinced by my winning this year’s Star Armor Masters Competition, thinking that defeating my opponents with a single move each time is just posturing,

Some are simply curious and want to test my true strength. But there’s another group of people I admire the most—those who just purely want to fight me.”

With this, Muria set the stage for what he was about to do. “Now, I give you this opportunity. Regardless of the reason, anyone who wants to fight me or challenge me can stand up now. I will allow you all to challenge me together.”

“Jelos Douglas, do you think just because you won this tournament, you have become invincible and can boldly disregard us all?”

A man, prompted by someone beside him, stood up and questioned Muria.

“No,” Muria shook his head, “you’ve got it wrong. It’s not cause and effect turned backwards. It’s not that I think I’m invincible because I won the championship, but rather because I am an invincible presence to you, that’s why I won this competition.”

Muria’s words stunned the crowd, leaving them open-mouthed in astonishment as journalists clicked their cameras, capturing the image of Muria speaking the most arrogant words with the calmest and most composed demeanor.

“Damn, I thought I was already arrogant enough with my own clan, but now I see what real arrogance is.”

“Those were some high-level words; I have to learn from this, to brag like that to others in the future.”

“It’s best to learn less of such talk. It might feel good to say at the moment, but the end result can be quite tragic.”

“Um, as the target of those words, I am pretty unpleased right now, so I’m ready to go up and try out just how strong this toughest guy from the Douglas family is. Who’s ready to join me?”

“Count me in. To be honest, I haven’t had enough of the Star Armor Masters Competition, I lost that one round and wasn’t convinced. This is a good opportunity to see what level this man, whom the rest of the Douglas family willingly concede to, really is.”

“I’m going up, too. If I can defeat this guy, it means I’ve defeated everyone from the Douglas family.”

…After Muria finished speaking, many competitors invited to the awards ceremony whispered amongst themselves, sharing their opinions and perspectives, and quite a few expressed their desire to battle Muria.

“You have fifteen minutes to decide. I’ll be waiting outside for you in the meantime.” Muria smiled slightly as he watched the venue become restless. His body, enveloped in a pure white Martial Dao Aura, flew out of the venue.

And as soon as Muria finished speaking, people started leaving their seats in twos and threes, chasing in the direction Muria had flown.

The youth with a tall figure sat cross-legged in the air, his form surrounded by a pure white Qi that swirled around him like flames, giving him an impressive presence, full of intimidating power.

After meditating in the air for nearly a quarter of an hour, Muria slowly opened his eyes to see forty-five young men and women around him; he couldn’t help but reveal a hint of disappointment,

“Is that all of you? This number is really too few.”

“Enough, Jelos. There’s no need for that kind of talk here. We’ll see what you’ve got when we start fighting,” a youth stood out and rebuked Muria.

“Fine then, let’s begin!”

“Alright, all of you step back, I’ll go first.” The youth who spoke first had a look of eager fighting spirit and began summoning his Star Armor.

“You do know, don’t you, that you’ve got something wrong?” Muria addressed the people around him who were slowly backing away, apparently making space for him and the youth opposite to fight.

“What?” The youth prepared to fight Muria asked, puzzled.

“What made you think you could actually have a one-on-one fight with me?” Muria looked at the youth in front of him and those surrounding him with some bewilderment.

“Did you really think I was giving you the opportunity to face me one-on-one? That I’m here to waste time being your sparring partner? Do I look like such a pushover in your eyes?”

Muria asked three consecutive questions, which left the young men and women around him, as well as the guy in front of him who was impatient to start a fight, completely baffled.

“What do you mean by that?” The young man, having summoned all his External Armament and begun to accumulate energy, asked with suppressed anger in a deep voice.

“What do I mean?” Muria chuckled, “I mean for all of you to come at me together, to besiege me, you get it? I’m not interested in dueling with you one by one.”

“Don’t underestimate us like that!” Muria’s words instantly stirred the young man into agitation. It was an outright contempt, a disregard for his presence. He had never been treated with such indignity from birth, so he opened fire and attacked Muria.

“Then do you grasp the gap between you and me now?” Seeing the dense barrage forming a carpet of projectiles, Muria remained seated with his legs crossed, unmoving, while the aura around him danced as if alive.

With a long cry, a white dragon with icy scales rose from Muria’s aura, letting out a roar that surrounded Muria, and then spat out a stream of light, neutralizing all attacks that would have hit Muria.

After blocking all the attacks, the white dragon, seeming so lifelike as if it were a real creature, let out a triumphant cry and then quickly pounced on the stunned young man.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd and the lenses of numerous journalists, the genius from a top clan started to fight with the creature formed by Muria’s Martial Dao Aura,

and what was astounding was that this young man was at a disadvantage against the white dragon formed from Martial Dao Aura, making the onlookers reveal various complex emotions.

Snap!

After fewer than ten exchanges, the massive white dragon swung its long tail, decorated with trailing Qi marks visible to the naked eye, and slammed into the young man.

The ferocious power surged into the young man, causing cracks to appear in his Star Armor. In that instant, the attack from the white dragon surpassed the defensive limit of the young man’s Star Armor, and drops of bright crimson blood oozed out from the cracks.

After that blow, the young man lost the strength to fight anymore. His body bent into a U-shape, with fragments of his shattered Star Armor, he fell towards the ground, a picture of misery.

After defeating the young man, the aura-made white dragon let out a proud roar, circled in the air, and then rushed toward Muria. As it neared him, the white dragon dissipated back into aura, merging back into Muria’s body.

“Have you clearly seen the gap between you and me?” Muria, looking at the young man who had already fallen to the ground and was caught by others, slowly stood up and looked around.

“None of you alone is a match for me. The only hope you have of defeating me is to unite and attack together.”

“Indeed, alone, no one is your match, Jelos Douglas, because your martial arts have entered another realm, haven’t they?” A girl with flaxen curly long hair stared at Muria, her eyes revealing wariness, disbelief, and shock all mixed together.

“Martial Supreme?” Hearing what the girl had said, someone reacted promptly, then looked at Muria with an extremely shocked expression. They had fully understood what that existence meant through Aine, the newer generation’s Martial Supreme.

“No wonder he has the strength to overwhelm us; he’s already reached that level.”

“Impossible, how old is he? How could he have become an existence on par with a Titled Star Armor Master?”

“Don’t be nervous,” Muria said, looking at the chattering geniuses in front of him who were scared stiff by him, not daring to approach him, and a look of helplessness crossed his face,

These people in front of him could be considered the elite youths of the entire Zijing Federation’s new generation, but they had been intimidated by him, merely because of the two words ‘Martial Supreme,’ making them hesitate and not daring to make a move against him.

“I’m still half a step away from becoming a Martial Supreme. Of course, even in my current state, I’m not someone you can confront alone, so you might as well attack together. That way, you might still have a chance at victory.”

“Since it’s only half a step, then all of us taking you on won’t be a disgrace to our families.”

“And this is also your own request.”

Watching the group of geniuses in front of him making excuses for themselves while summoning their Star Armor, preparing to launch an attack, Muria’s face revealed a smile.

Boom—

Like thunderous roars of explosive noise, pure white Qi burst from Muria like a flood breaching a dam, instantly tinting the space around him with a pure white hue.

In this domain formed solely by Muria’s power, the white Qi surged, creating images of animals, plants, or buildings that were indistinct yet bizarre but filled with a powerful aura of suppression.

“Damn, this guy still says he’s not a Martial Supreme!”
