The player being pushed to the front stood still, and Brother Rong cursed "useless" before trying to pull someone else, only to find that they were standing stiffly with vacant stares, as if completely unable to hear him.

"You did something..." Brother Rong immediately looked forward, but Xu Huo, who was standing there, had already disappeared. Following that, someone reached out and patted his shoulder.

The female Player flashed him a dazzling smile, leaped onto a nearby energy storage car, "Come on, let’s go together. I’ll share the props with you later!"

Xu Huo hopped on the car nimbly, and before he could sit still, the female Player took control of the steering wheel and spun the car out of the gambling den’s boundary—a twenty-meter car trailed a string of battery and supply crates.

The car headed straight for the city’s exit. Players from the gambling den chased after them, but only followed from a distance. The female Player, while driving spaciously, said, "If they chase us out of the city, let’s take them out first, then split."

"I’m going to pick someone up." Xu Huo pushed open the car door, casually took out the nearest chasing Player, and then picked up the young girl.

The young girl had already put on a raincoat, covering her face tightly. After getting in the car, she first greeted the female Player.

The female Player glanced back at her and asked Xu Huo, "Your relative?"

"A newly met friend," Xu Huo replied, "Just giving a lift along the way."

The female Player gave him an "I understand" look and asked, "Where’s your instance location?"

"Snow City. We’ll head to Xiaoyang City for a direct ride first." Xu Huo glanced at the rearview mirror. In addition to the three Players from before, three more had joined.

"People from the District Government office are here." The female Player laughed, speeding up, "These freeloaders, when thugs cause trouble, they don’t interfere, but they come to trouble us, the ones who are seeking justice!"

"Me too," said the female Player with a giggle, "Robbery comes with killing, right?"

"My instance location is also in Snow City." She adjusted the car lights, "This place is too dark, we better not have to grope around in the dark for the instance."

"Big cities are bright," said the young girl, explaining, "Although the government has set eight hours as daytime, those higher-income cities light up during other times too, especially Snow City, which is lit all day long, with no night, and no household needs to prepare power storage equipment."

The female Player nodded, "I see District 002 is not so poor either, crushing their own kind so hard."

"District 002 generates electricity using a domestically produced mineral, not a small output, but not yet infinite supply," Xu Huo said, "Resource distribution is quite normal."

District 002 is perennially dark, and although there’s corresponding crop cultivation and animal husbandry, its produce is nowhere near as rich as other districts. The contributions each city can make to the district are limited, some relatively remote cities still require financial assistance from the District Government, thus naturally, there would be corresponding restrictions.

Even if Players could endlessly bring back enough resources from outside districts, there’s no need for fair distribution.

"The gap between the rich and the poor is inevitable wherever there are people," the female Player said with mock gravity, then asked for Xu Huo’s name.

Xu Huo used Xu Zhi’s name again. The female Player also readily shared hers, "I’m Chi Minghong, my profession is a police officer. What’s yours?"

"Psychotherapist." Xu Huo smoothly produced a fake certificate he had made.

Chi Minghong chuckled, not caring if it was true or false, "You made this certificate on the spot, didn’t you?"

"Does it not look like it?" Xu Huo raised an eyebrow.

"It does look quite real... Do you plan to stay long in District 002?" Chi Minghong said, "The psychology consulting industry there is quite developed. Another Player with white hair stopped his companion, "Don’t waste your breath on her, just block the car!"
