This statement was not seeking Lou Jia and Gao Xiaoyan’s opinion; as soon as Xu Huo finished speaking, the distance between him and the two widened rapidly. He and the cannon were lifted by a spiral staircase, while Gao Xiaoyan and Lou Jia sank with another one.

Lou Jia, a Rank-A Player, almost instantly conjured a metal chain under his feet as the distance widened. This prop seemed capable of breaking through the Spatial Barrier formed in the Spiritual World, directly connecting him to the rising staircase. With a single leap, he bridged what seemed like a vast distance, and with a twist of his left hand, a thin knife sliced toward Xu Huo’s throat!

"Shick!" The little knife sliced open Xu Huo’s neck, splashing blood all over Lou Jia’s face!

Caught off-guard and splattered with blood, Lou Jia reflexively stepped back. As he raised his hand to wipe his face he stopped midway, his wrist twisting, and a double-edged long sword flew out from nowhere, automatically circling around him. At the same time, his shoes shifted, "Step by Step Imprint!"

The Xu Huo nearby was pulled into the range of the circling sword by an irresistible force, but the sword didn’t chop his neck as intended. Instead, it seemed to cut through an illusion. After the illusion disappeared, six blood-spraying Xu Huos reappeared around him.

Before Lou Jia could determine which one was real, the ground beneath him suddenly shook, accompanied by a dulled buzzing sound!

The entire Bird Tower trembled. Xu Huo, who was hiding inside his own Spiritual World, watched as the launch tower began to activate. Just as he was about to try to bring everyone out, Zhu Feiyun and Kuang Wenjun suddenly appeared. The former motioned to close the door, and Lou Jia was moved outside the tower, while Kuang Wenjun signaled them to increase the distance and then restarted the Spatial Artifact. She used the spatial rift to pull distant city buildings close to Bird Tower and pushed Lou Jia, who was trying to return, away!

"Quick! I can’t hold it any longer..." Before she could finish speaking, the barrier formed by the Spatial Artifact was shattered, and Kuang Wenjun was hit by the incoming shockwave, spewing a mouthful of blood as she and the Artifact were flung away!

But Lou Jia’s target wasn’t them. After swatting the two of them aside, he simply retrieved another prop, this time not caring whether he was in an illusion or not, he decided to destroy the Bird Tower as well!

Xu Huo consecutively activated "Power of Writing" and "Please Sit." The former only slightly tilted Lou Jia’s head and its effect was negated, but the following "Please Sit" was successful. Lou Jia was dragged to an "upright chair" and forcibly locked in place for thirty seconds.

Being forcibly locked for thirty seconds only slightly restricted his movements, it didn’t mean he couldn’t use a prop. So, the instant he was seated, due to an effect that was unclear whether it was a prop or a characteristic, Kuang Wenjun, Zhu Feiyun, and Gao Xiaoyan were all frozen in place!

Xu Huo used "Truth Above All" to dodge this attack. Though "Truth Above All" protected him from characteristic and prop attacks, it only lasted for three seconds. Three seconds was not enough to get rid of a Rank-A Player, so he moved Kuang Wenjun and the others out of his Spiritual World. With a wave of his right hand, he locked himself and Lou Jia in the library.

Door after door kept moving from far to nearby, continuously closing; with each closure, both were transferred deeper into the library. The surroundings also changed; shelves brimming with books moved rapidly, parting on either side. The extreme speed not only caused a visual distortion but also created a continuous and urgent sensation of falling, which to some extent, numbed the senses.

Xu Huo’s prop couldn’t possibly clash directly with a Rank-A Player, and dragging the opponent into the Spiritual World was extremely dangerous. A Rank-A Player, even if unfamiliar with Spirit Evolution, would have other means to break free from Mental Interference. Thus, he could only fill the air with visual disturbances to distract him to the utmost extent.

Of course, he also knew that even if he risked being targeted by a Psychic Attack, the time he could buy might only be a few seconds, but a few seconds were enough!

Before going upstairs, he purposefully shrank the range of the Spiritual World to within the Bird Tower. The spot he had stopped at was not actually the top floor, but a fake top floor he had created. Unknown whether it was his bones or the wall that issued a "crackling" sound, but before he could react, Lou Jia had already teleported beside the wall, his knife plunging towards Xu Huo’s abdomen!

The white blade repeatedly pierced through the white diamond-shaped pieces of "Three Hundred Sixty Defenses" three times, the short distance not enough for the prop to activate a fourth defense. Just as the knife blade was about to pierce through the thin protective suit, the wall behind Xu Huo suddenly burst open under the pressure—a large hole appeared. As Xu Huo fell backward, the entire Bird Tower, as if its skeleton had been removed, collapsed from the top down with a thunderous crash!

"You played tricks!" Lou Jia’s gaze darkened, looking at Xu Huo with more shock than anger.

Yet, Xu Huo pointed down, indicating that Gao Zhen’s body was still below; he then disappeared mid-air!

Lou Jia couldn’t simply ignore Gao Zhen’s corpse. As Xu Huo left, Lou Jia also headed straight downstairs, using a prop to prop up a barrier in the middle, to prevent the corpse from being crushed by the building’s weight.

Similarly, when Xu Huo completely withdrew his Psychic Power, the players from the Law Enforcement Team surrounding the area began to attack the Bird Tower. In an instant, as the Tower collapsed, these players initially aimed to seize Gao Zhen’s body, only to see the buildings suspended in the sky begin to fall as well!

Unless there was a quick and effective prop to isolate all the buildings, such a broad and heavy object falling from a great height was not something a mere Defense Prop could completely block; thus, most people’s first choice was to dodge.
