Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 461: Bloody Station

Chapter 461: Chapter 461: Bloody Station

Inside the station, Xu Huo and Dr. Deng successively appeared in front of the platform screen. No sooner had they stood firm than an intense scent of blood assailed their nostrils, and immediately, a player charged towards Dr. Deng, who hadn’t even steadied himself yet!

Xu Huo took two strides to Dr. Deng’s side, picked him up, and moved him to the side, then faced the oncoming player himself.

As their eyes met, the tattooed man with bare arms abruptly halted his steps two meters away from Xu Huo and then consecutively stepped back several times.

Xu Huo just stood at Dr. Deng’s spot, expressionlessly watching the other party.

There were five other people in the station, of whom three were likely companions of the man with bare arms, all assuming an offensive stance. The remaining two kept their distance from the other groups, their attention also focused here.

The ones who had evidently committed murder were the group of four that included the tattooed man, as they made no effort to conceal their bloodstained clothing, which was covered in fresh blood. Two of them had blood around their mouths and were still chewing while turning towards Xu Huo.

Furthermore, there were four fresh but mutilated corpses within the station, their blood and organs spilled all over the place, their deaths a testament to brutality.

"Ugh!" Dr. Deng couldn’t suppress his physical reaction and bent over to vomit. It was only then that the tattooed man finally shifted his gaze away from Xu Huo, but he didn’t relax his body, only retreating step by step back to his companions.

The four exchanged glances, no longer fixating on Xu Huo and Dr. Deng.

At this point, Xu Huo stopped staring at the group and, grabbing Dr. Deng’s arm, brought him over to a corner of the station and handed him a bottle of water.

After Dr. Deng rinsed his mouth thoroughly, he said, "I’ve made a fool of myself in front of you."

Xu Huo didn’t speak; instead, he leaned against the transparent glass wall to rest, taking the opportunity to check his game panel.

In Deep Blue Laboratory, he had killed Mao Wei, Ge Pan, Wu Xiaonan as well as a player in a black shirt, Kong Hui, and Tong Jian. Aside from their White Notes and potions, the haul of props was also quite substantial.

Mao Wei’s more useful props included the "Number Grid" that could trap a player in their current spot, a "Friendly Handkerchief" that located others by asking if they needed help, and a "Vital Point Kite" that could pierce through a player’s body.

As for Ge Pan, apart from the one-time use projector prop that could reverse time, which he had already used, there was a tiny megaphone "Director’s Prerogative" that could cause short-term memory loss without the affected person realizing it. This prop hadn’t been useful when dealing with the Kong Siblings.

There was also a "Blank Script". Its use was simple: just take out the script and, without parting from it, those hearing the holder speak within a minute would become focused and feel a sense of trust towards them.

Of the remaining items of value, there was the attack prop "No Burden Final Shot," a half-palm glove that could inflict wounds from several meters away, although the resulting cuts could not exceed half a finger in length.

Wu Xiaonan’s impressive aspect was her special abilities. Among her props, Xu Huo only valued one: the "Passive Rest" badge. In larger skirmishes between foes and allies, it could make the opponent unconsciously overlook one attack, which, combined with his own abilities, might work wonders in a melee.

The player in the black shirt who played in the swamp had a particularly interesting prop: the "Upright Chair," which no matter from what height it fell or where it landed, would always maintain an upright position during its fall. Moreover, the prop would not be affected by the impact upon landing, which meant one could jump off an airplane while sitting on the chair and still land safely.

Kong Hui’s props were mostly close combat weapons, with several additional deceptive props that caused visual disorientation, such as the "Aimless Firework Launcher," "Highlighted Non-Essential Location" spotlight, and the "Two-Part Magic" button that made Xu Huo feel like his body had been cut in half during combat.

Defense props had already been blasted to pieces and were unusable.

The last was Tong Jian, skilled with adhesive, whose adhesive clothing was a decent defense prop, but it did not fare well with water, and his other props, often linked to specific traits, were not suitable for Xu Huo.

But two more Rank-B props had been added to the prop bar.

[Absolute Safety Distance: During use, a one-finger-thick safety partition can be established around the player’s body, theoretically blocking all special attacks such as water, fire, poisonous gas, but ineffective against bladed and projectile weapons. Duration three minutes.]

[Moving Metal: Can defend against all physical attacks, and does not require the player to wear it conscientiously, as it possesses an exceptional dedication and can autonomously detect the areas about to be harmed and actively provide protection.]

Xu Huo’s gaze sharpened, these two props, the former should be Kong Cheng’s, which he had used underwater, appearing like a transparent bubble painted around the human body.

The latter should be Tong Jian’s. His attempt to block the sword with his hand likely involved this prop, but he had failed to activate it successfully.

The prop that should have belonged to Miao Yu and the prop that Tong Jian wanted to use but failed to were both with him now, and without needing to think about it, he knew they were stolen by "The Hungry Gluttonous Snake," and these two props just so happened to make up for his defensive shortcomings.

This trip to the Deep Blue Laboratory had yielded far more than he had imagined, not only obtaining so many practical props at once but also securing S-type Evolutionary Agent, and he had received some information regarding Professor Wu, surpassing any of his previous runs in the Level D Copy.

Xu Huo flexed his fingers, his brows relaxed slightly, and his gaze swept over the players inside the station: it’s just that his luck was a bit poor after exiting the copy.

"They’re all Cannibal Players," Dr. Deng said, jittery as a spooked bird, completely avoiding looking at the bare-armed man, involuntarily shrinking back whenever he sensed the other’s gaze.

Xu Huo was in a fairly good mood, patting his shoulder, "Once you’re on the train, there’s nothing to worry about."

Dr. Deng smiled an uglier smile than crying, "Lies won’t comfort anyone."

"Then just bear with it," Xu Huo did not offer any additional consolation, encountering Cannibal Players on the train was quite normal, but upon entering a Level D Copy, the Cannibal Players no longer held a clear advantage on the train.

The train soon arrived at the station, and the two were teleported into the station, scanning the inside and outside of the train compartment, his expression slightly darkened: his luck wasn’t just a bit poor, but very poor.

Clearly, there had been a bloody battle inside the train, with bloodstains and severed limbs scattered throughout the compartment. The players sitting inside looked relatively clean, but the doors of the front and rear compartments were sealed, only this one was not, making it obvious that they had entered the most dangerous compartment.

Additionally, the several Cannibal Players from the station had also made their way into this compartment.

More than a dozen pairs of eyes were intently and oppressively focused on Xu Huo and Dr. Deng standing in the center.

Having grasped the situation, Xu Huo took out a bottle of Cleansing Potion and cleaned up the seat next to him, gesturing for Dr. Deng to sit down and rest.

Dr. Deng’s bottom was like it had been burned by fire, barely touching the seat before getting up again, grabbing his arm without any concern for appearances, "Let’s go to another compartment!"
