Xu Huo nodded to show no issues and took the lead in opening the door and stepping out, standing behind the glass window.

The remaining players inside the room didn’t see the Ghost Shadow described by Gan Qing through the glass.

Following that, Chu Yuan also went outside; he was fine as well, and then came Ge Pan and Mao Wei. After the people inside confirmed they were not the "ghost," Xu Huo and Chu Yuan returned to the room to watch the rest.

However, after all the players had gone out for a round, they did not find anyone with a Ghost Shadow attached to them.

"How is this possible?" Xu Huo said, "There should be two more ghosts tonight."

"But there’s no Ghost Shadow among the people present," Miao Yu’s eyes sharply turned to Gan Qing. "You’re lying! You can’t see any Ghost Shadow on the player who became a ghost!"

"Impossible!" Gan Qing immediately countered, "I indeed saw the Ghost Shadow on Zhu Rumin... Unless none of us here is a ghost!"

"Use your brain," Wu Xiaonan stared at him, "If the two new ghosts aren’t among us, then it could only be Zhu Rumin and Qiu Xiangdong. You said yourself that Zhu Rumin is a ghost, how could she become a ghost again tonight? Even if she killed Chang Chengyong, she should’ve received a chance to avoid being randomly chosen, so she wouldn’t be here tonight. That means there’s at least one ghost among us."

But the ghost failed to show up now, which means the glass test for the Ghost Shadow didn’t work. Since it didn’t work, Gan Qing could well be a thief crying "Stop thief!"—he himself might be last night’s "ghost"!

Gan Qing retorted with a laugh tinged with anger, "If I knew I was a ghost, why didn’t Zhu Rumin argue back instead of fleeing immediately!"

"And if the ghost from yesterday was Qiu Xiangdong, the situation would be similar to Zhu Rumin’s. By killing Chang Chengyong, he’d get a chance to avoid random selection, or remain a ghost if he didn’t kill. So, no matter the situation, there’s at least one ghost here."

"We just need to confirm if catching the ghost will let us pass the level. Everyone is here, so let’s try one by one to find out," he continued.

"Sounds pretty reasonable," Miao Yu mused, touching her chin before acting on her own initiative, starting with grabbing each player beside her to submit for the mission, beginning with Gan Qing.

The other players looked on as she acted directly without discussion, their expressions altering slightly, but they relaxed when they saw her look somewhat disappointed and turn to the next person.

When it was Xu Huo’s turn last, Miao Yu withdrew her hand, "We didn’t clear the level."
