Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 410: Surprise or not?

Chapter 410: Chapter 410: Surprise or not?

The short-haired female player traveling with the white-haired player clasped her hands together, sealing the entire cockpit. This caused two crew members, who had already rushed to the door, to turn around, one of them blowing on the palm of his empty hand. Tiny balloons the size of fingertips flew out from nowhere, enveloping the white-haired players while also bursting like bombs!

"Haha! I just love this scene!" the bomber crew member laughed loudly.

The captain, who ambushed the white-haired player, hurried to the door and reached out to touch the wall. The decorative fabric covering it peeled away in strips, wrapping around the players who were shrouded in smoke from the explosion. Then he took out a thumb-sized bomb and placed it precisely on the door, expertly removing it.

But before he could step out, the floor rapidly froze over, and three meters away from the door, a wall of ice formed, with long ice spikes jutting out from it, forcing him back into the cockpit.

The decorative fabric shattered into icy debris, the floor slid backward like an escalator, bringing the captain and several crew members straight towards the white-haired players!

The men couldn’t break free from the floor, and almost simultaneously, the captain and his men raised their guns and opened fire on the players!

The light and sound of the bullets were entirely shielded by an item, so the workers outside were unaware of the situation in the cockpit, aside from the initial blast and the wall of ice before their eyes.

"I’ll go call the players from the city hall..." one of the workers tried to run towards the rear deck, but at that moment, the cruise ship began to violently shake, and the worker could only hold on to something secure to steady himself.

"The ship’s rising!" people at the front and back of the ship yelled. In fact, the hull had been slowly lifting ever since the ship stopped, which explained why no one had yet arrived at the cockpit. Not only were there other players disguised as workers creating chaos, but also because the entire cruise ship had been hijacked!

It wasn’t that the ship was flying, but the sea level was rising—a square section of the sea surface had split and lifted, cradling the cruise ship like a container and trapping it in place.

"We’re trapped!" the old man said anxiously. "Get Duke Tal out of here first!"

"The flying car is damaged, the speedboat can’t go down, and spatial artifacts can’t be used on the ship!" a bodyguard quickly summarized the situation.

"Those dressed as workers must’ve come prepared, their Player Levels must be high. We have our people holding them off now, but it won’t last," the old man said to Duke Tal. "Your grace, you should find somewhere to take cover first!"

"Cover! The ship’s only so big, where to hide?" Duke Tal fumed. "Turn off the Balancer immediately, I want to leave here!"

The Balancer was a weapon made based on the incompatibility of spatial-related items. Although not as effective as the special instruments designed to constrain space-time items, it was sufficient for a cruise ship.

Rongxin Group’s special cruise ships were all equipped with Balancers, to prevent someone from stealing cargo. Today, the authority over the Hero’s Balancer was in Duke Tal’s hands.

"Duke, you can’t do this!" the old man exclaimed. "If we turn off the Balancer, the other side could use spatial artifacts to transfer the goods away!"

"Is that cargo more precious than me?" Duke Tal retorted. "Zhao He, turn off the Balancer!"

Zhao He was in a dilemma but as the cruise shook more violently in the water, he hesitated and then activated the controller on his wrist, turning off the Balancer.

Duke Tal’s expression relaxed slightly, and he ordered his bodyguards to take him away. Just as they disappeared from the deck, a shout came from the rear deck, "The boxes are gone!"

Several flying cars emerged in the sky a hundred meters away from the cruise ship; they had special metal chains welded underneath them. Six of these cars were lifting a giant rack on which the containers that had disappeared from the ship began to appear one by one.

"They don’t have container artifacts, the distance of spatial artifact transport is limited, fire!" Zhao He commanded from the deck.

But the flying cars on board were all damaged, so how could the weapons function as normal? Thus, only the players could take action.

A player used an artifact to whip up fierce winds over the sea, which carried the seawater towards the six flying cars. However, the wind and water hit an invisible wall midway, after which the rising water subsided, and the whole ship slammed into the sea surface!

Players leapt into the air, surrounding the flying cars from all sides, but to their surprise, these cars were equipped with formidable weaponry. As they sprayed bullets at the players, two were shot down. Then another player reached the rear of the convoy, stuck a steel pipe, as thick as two fingers, into the sea, and declared, "Pipe blockage!"

"Boom! Boom!" The guns aboard two of the flying cars exploded, destabilizing the vehicles, and the cargo began to spill into the sea.

"Damn, some weapons can’t touch water!" someone yelled out from one of the cars, "Stabilize the car quickly!"

"You fucking idiot, the cargo boxes are waterproof!" another one bellowed.

The first speaker cursed back, "So what if they’re waterproof? If they sink into the sea, you go fish them out!"

Not just them, the players on the cruise couldn’t just watch the cargo boxes sink into the sea either, so they split up to catch them.

What nobody expected was a flying carpet swooping in and stealing the cargo boxes right out of midair. Two players, holding onto the corners of the giant carpet, transported the boxes towards a side—where a transport machine was slowly becoming visible.

"Who?!" As the cargo was snatched away, the flying car fleet managed to release the chains in time, but they were still flipped into the sea. Whether submerged or not, in an instant, the players were thrashing about like fish out of water.

A man with a scar on his face jumped down from the transport machine and, after standing firmly on the sea surface, sank his feet into the water and addressed the surface, "Chopped chili fish head!"

Seawater parted to form several blade-like water razors, skimming the surface and reaping lives from above and below.

The players floating on the sea were in better shape; most saw the water razors coming and protected themselves or fled directly into the game. Those who were suffocating underwater but hadn’t left were silently decapitated.

Blood surged from beneath the water, and several heads bobbed to the surface. The players on the cruise ship quickly retreated at the sight.

"I didn’t expect these guys to even have combat machines!" Zhao He, with a grim face, went into the cabin of the cruise, which hadn’t capsized under the players’ protection. He placed a magnet against the outer wall of the cockpit and pressed it down. After a brief hum, the injured captain and two remaining crew members were ejected from the other side of the metal cockpit.

Dodging the white-haired players who followed him out, Zhao He was about to head to the rear deck when a knife suddenly pierced his heart.

Behind him, the cowboy-hat-wearing player who had come from the station to deliver goods took off his hat, revealing a tanned complexion, smiled at him, and said, "Surprise, surprise, isn’t it unexpected?"

"Ran Ying..." Zhao He reached out his hand, but she kicked him away first.
