Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Duel

Mr. Dong and Hu Shan did not enter the music room; after Xu Huo and the other six went in, the door was closed behind them.

"Don’t be constrained, please sit."

You Qiwen and Flay exchanged glances and sat down one after the other on the side near He Pu’s bedroom, with the others taking seats in turn.

Xu Huo sat in the middle, with the Chen Brothers behind him, Flay to the left, and Wei Landeng and Liu Zhengping to the right.

Compared to the calmness of the other players, Wei Landeng and Liu Zhengping were somewhat restless. He Pu, standing on the stage, looked at them with a gentle smile and asked, "What’s wrong? Still feeling unwell in the stomach?"

The two stiffened, and just as Wei Landeng was about to speak, Xu Huo interrupted her and said to He Pu, "Why not invite Mr. Dong and Hu Shan in as well? Listening with just us few seems too monotonous."

The other players looked at him in astonishment, while Wei Landeng forced a smile and said, "Mr. Dong and Hu Shan must have their own things to do."

Being separated from Mr. Dong and Hu Shan was a good thing for them, so what was Xu Huo doing gathering everyone together? Did he think the difficulty level wasn’t high enough?

However, Xu Huo disregarded the players’ overt and covert hints, leaned back in his chair, and gestured with a "Please" to He Pu.

He Pu’s smile deepened, and with a light tap of the conducting baton on the strings of the cello, the rich sound of the strings undulated out and reached the door. The door of the music room opened in response, with Hu Shan entering, "Do you have any instructions, sir?"

"Mr. Xu has invited you and the butler to join the concert."

Hu Shan looked at Xu Huo in surprise, but still, she happily agreed without declining after getting a signal from He Pu. Meanwhile, Mr. Dong was very averse to the idea, not even willing to enter the door.

"How could a butler refuse the request of a guest?" He Pu said casually, then turned to face the stage lined with instruments but devoid of performers, and with a wave of his baton:

"Boom!"

The big drum sounded on its own, startling everyone there. A tingling sensation shot up from the soles of their feet to their calves, then to their knees, and finally to their thighs.

Instruments that no one was playing began to sound one after another. The multitude of musical notes mixed together and, amplified by the acoustics, became overwhelming. The narrow music room could not contain such tangible sound, and the entire room began to quiver under the pressure. In just a few breaths, the small room could no longer withstand the assault of the music, doubling the pressure on the players!

All the players sat stiffly in their seats, not knowing whether it was an illusion or reality, but a strange and colorful aura of rainbow light appeared around them. Their eyes wildly moved, teetering between consciousness and unconsciousness.

Hu Shan was on her knees, tears streaming down her face, adoringly looking up at the man on the stage waving his baton, while Mr. Dong stood at the doorway, still expressionless.

About a minute later, Hu Shan suddenly got up, pulled out a knife blade as long as a finger from beneath her apron, and walked behind You Qiwen. She grasped the front of his forehead with one hand and aimed the blade at his throat with the other.

"Wait... wait...!" You Qiwen struggled to speak, dizziness making him feel weightless. His hand loosened, and a metal ball smashed onto the floor, the burst of electricity flipping Hu Shan and the surrounding players all at once!

As bodies tumbled to the ground, the players barely regained consciousness from the deafening music. Wei Landeng, half propped on a chair, managed to raise a rocket launcher to fire at He Pu. The shot, however, went awry, splattering a thick liquid onto a violin. The still-vibrating strings of the instrument immediately went out of tune.

Amidst the chaotic and aesthetically unpleasing barrage of music, the change in the timbre of a single instrument really couldn’t make a difference, but Hu Shan became extremely angry. She threw down You Qiwen, kicked Wei Landeng to the wall with one foot, chased after him, and added punches and kicks while bellowing, "What the hell are you! How dare you disturb the master’s concert!"

"Draw Ground as Prison!" Chen Tu crawled over and slapped the ground, instantly rooting Hu Shan’s feet in place. Unable to kick anymore, she slowly stood up straight but didn’t use the knife from before, instead, she pulled out a huge sledgehammer.

Seeing this, Chen Nan immediately took out the Substitute Mirror, but at that moment, Flay shouted from behind, "Intimate Distance," and Hu Shan was pulled away from her spot, next to Xu Huo, who was half-lying on the ground.

Upon seeing her, Xu Huo struggled to get up and difficultly rolled towards the stage to avoid her.

Hu Shan let out a cold laugh and immediately raised the sledgehammer, but at that moment, the sound from the stage suddenly decreased, and the music from several instruments completely vanished.

"Master..." As she opened her mouth to say something, You Qiwen, who had recovered his mobility, suddenly sprang up and threw out an electric current that firmly trapped her. He pulled her up, smashed her towards the door, swiftly threw out a coffin-like small glass case that enlarged as it flew, perfectly catching Hu Shan. As the lid closed, the case, along with Hu Shan inside, was frozen into a block of ice.

The ice coffin hit the wall, and Mr. Dong, only a step away, did not rescue her. Instead, he moved aside.

Seeing that, You Qiwen turned towards the stage, his Electric Whip turning into an electric sword, and he leaped to slash at He Pu!

At that moment, Flay also stood up, a metal bow materializing in his hands, bowstring drawn without an arrow, aiming towards the stage!

Just as You Qiwen was about to attack He Pu, he suddenly spun around and without mercy, slashed at him!

"What are you doing..." Flay dodged the electric sword, but his hands were affected by the electric current, the metal bow falling to the ground. Before he could pick it up, another Electric Whip lashed out. He retreated quickly while angrily shouting, "You Qiwen, have you lost your mind?"

The other players were also confounded by You Qiwen’s action. The Chen Brothers, who had just taken out a mirror wrapped in cloth, were startled and subconsciously moved away from the two. Then, seeing Xu Huo standing up with the support of his legs and nodding, they pulled the cloth, reflecting themselves and him into it, then raised the mirror to capture He Pu’s silhouette from behind.

Once done, the two retreated to the corner furthest from the stage, guarding in front of the mirror.

Liu Zhengping stood up shakily, looking at You Qiwen in disbelief, "Could it be you’re not a non-mission player?"

"He’s not. Flay is," Xu Huo brushed off his pants, took over the metal bow with guitar strings, and directly stowed it into the luggage compartment.

Seeing this, Flay snorted coldly, "I don’t understand what you’re saying. You Qiwen ambushed me; are you allies?"

Xu Huo pointed to Flay’s slightly raised hand, "I advise you to save it. Your ’face-to-face negotiation’ requires two people face to face, and it can’t be used on multiple people at once. You can guard against one, but not against two."

Flay’s expression remained unchanged, "You’re quite observant."

"Of course, I have to be careful, especially since it was you who egged us on to kill Mr. Dong." You Qiwen slowly retreated toward the wall, his gaze wandering between He Pu and Flay.

At this point, He Pu had already turned around. He wasn’t looking at Xu Huo, who was close and facing away, but instead, he was smiling at You Qiwen, with a flick of his baton, an arc-shaped shock wave struck the pile of broken chairs under the stage.

A nondescript action figure was hurriedly dragged out before the chairs exploded, tied by a thin line back into Xu Huo’s hand.
