Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die!
Chapter 146: Building Block Fairy Tale City Station

Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Building Block Fairy Tale City Station

Two minutes later, the bodies of the four were placed in a corner of the station. Xu Huo straightened his clothes and quietly awaited the train’s arrival.

When the time on the ticket jumped to the last second, he seamlessly transitioned from the station to the train without any surprises or dangers.

Once he confirmed no players were following him, his tension eased slightly, and he caught three gazes—aside from him, there were three other players in this carriage.

One was a young woman with long hair, seated at the same table as a burly man who looked quite intimidating. In addition, there was an older man sitting alone upfront.

Xu Huo glanced at the three with some caution and glared at the fierce-looking burly man before walking to the back of the carriage to find a seat.

The other three passengers immediately looked away.

"Ding-dong!" The train announcement sounded.

"Welcome aboard the Dimensional Rift special train. Train number 219 will be departing from Level E Departure Station to the Brick Fairy Tale City Station at Level E. Please ensure personal safety when boarding in an orderly manner and comply with the train rules."

"The train rules are as follows: 1. Please do not bring non-game items aboard the train; the train does not welcome hot weapons from any world."

"2. Mandatory consumption. All train staff are unpaid, so please respect their labor. Each player must spend no fewer than five hundred White Notes after boarding."

"Please press the call button to order meals."

"To prevent boredom on your journey, the train encourages leisure activities such as ambushes, brawling, and hunting. Please feel free to choose."

"We wish you a pleasant journey."

Unlike the trip to the Beheading Demon Copy, this instance introduced new train rules, which summed up to one sentence: No hot weapons allowed aboard, but the train will not interfere with players killing each other.

The game was filled with malice toward players; such rules were not surprising, but what piqued Xu Huo’s interest was the "unpaid positions" part.

It seemed that the train’s kitchen was contracted by Yongxing Restaurant. If all train staff worked without pay, were they working for the game or for the contractor?

"Ding-dong." The long-haired female player upfront pressed the call button.

A uniformed attendant soon walked over with a smile, presenting the menu and saying, "Madam, would you like to order?"

She nodded and flipped through the thick menu, then asked, "Does the kitchen serve human flesh?"

The attendant’s smile remained unchanged, "This train does not offer human flesh."

"Do you have any recommendations?" The female player handed back the menu.

The attendant seemed even happier upon hearing this, and with a smile, he said, "The chef today is a three-star chef from Yongxing Restaurant. Our specialty dishes include Polar White Frogs, Beautifying Vegetable Juice, Prepared Rhinoceros Meat, and for dessert, we have our signature Color Salt Ice Cream."

"I’ll take those," the female player turned her head to the burly man, "Order whatever you want for yourself."

The burly man had no special requests, "Just something hearty and filling."

The attendant added three portions of rhinoceros meat for him.

"I’d like to order too," said the older man upfront.

The attendant approached, and after the older man flipped through the first two pages of the menu, he said, "Bring me a bowl of noodles."

The attendant closed the menu and walked over to Xu Huo, "Sir, would you like to order?"

Xu Huo looked sheepishly at his trouser legs, rubbing them as he said, "How much longer until the train arrives? Can I not order?"

"Sir, you are going to Brick Fairy Tale City Station, and there are still two hours left in the journey. I recommend you order something. It’s part of the train rules."

"Alright, I’ll have a bowl of noodles too," Xu Huo grudgingly ordered, then glanced at the female player ahead and gritted his teeth, "And another cup of water for me."

The attendant left quickly, and except for the female player’s meal, which was served one dish at a time, everyone else’s came quickly.

Xu Huo wolfed down his bowl of noodles and then sat there unabashedly staring at the female player’s back.

When she finished her meal, he walked over with his cup of water and sat directly opposite her, "Do you want to rinse your mouth?"

The female player glanced at him but didn’t speak.

"You’re heading to Building Block Fairy Tale City Station too, right? That means we’re in the same instance," Xu Huo began on his own, "How about we travel together? It’s good to have more people to look out for each other."

"There’s more than one copy at Building Block Fairy Tale City Station," the female player seemed a bit interested, "We won’t know which one until we get there. What level are your tickets?"

"Level E tickets," Xu Huo replied briskly, "Are yours the same?"

The female player showed a hint of disappointment in her eyes, nodded indifferently, and then closed her eyes without speaking again.

Xu Huo was about to speak again, but the burly man next to him stopped him, "She wants to rest."

Xu Huo glanced at him sideways, then, seeing that the female player really had no intention of talking, he sheepishly rose to his feet.

"Wait a second," the burly man handed the cup of water back to him, "Here’s your water."

Xu Huo snatched it back and returned to his seat grumpily. After drinking the water in one go, he sat for a while, then went to the restroom in the back. After coming back, he finally sat down properly and dozed against the seat.

Two hours passed quickly, and Xu Huo sat up promptly when he received the game notification.

[Now entering countdown: ...3, 2, 1...]

After the view switched, Xu Huo was already standing on an old street.

This street had obviously been abandoned for a long time, with many buildings now in ruins. Though spots of green could occasionally be seen on the ground or between the cracks in the walls, the dust floating in the sunlight and the extremely quiet air evidenced how desolate this place was.

He looked back and saw that the female player and the burly man following her had gotten off with him, but the old man had not.

They were all next to a bus stop.

"You can’t even see the station name on this sign," he approached the female player and spoke, "They just dump us here and leave us be? Which way are we supposed to go?"
