Chapter 1345: Chapter 1346

(To be modified later) The fleeing player was originally using props to move between floors, but unexpectedly stepped on 101. He couldn’t break through this kind of metallic props from the game, and then he saw Xu Huo beside him, holding a crossbow aimed at him!

The crossbow arrow wasn’t a solid arrow; instead, it was a type of translucent ice, which quickly melted after piercing the wall!

"I’m not looking for you." Xu Huo clarified his stance, and because of this brief delay, the pursuing player had already come down from the upper floor, but just as his feet appeared, he was hit by a strange force, opening a deep trench in the ceiling and stopping only when he reached the wall.

In the next second, two people and a stone lion fell onto the floor where Xu Huo and Yan Jiayu were.

"Da Mao, go!" Yan Jiayu commanded the stone lion to attack while taking out a muscle doll sticker and sticking it on her face. Instantly, her speed skyrocketed, as fast as an unstoppable projectile, crashing towards the person by the wall!

The player clearly didn’t take her reckless combat style seriously. With a pat on the shoulder, a blue arc of light immediately opened up in front of him. With the light arc to protect him, he didn’t even glance at Yan Jiayu, focusing instead on the stone lion running circles from the side.

However, just as he was about to free up his hands to deal with the stone lion, the living bomb that was Yan Jiayu crashed into him—uncertain if she had other invisible defense props, but when she hit the light arc, she directly pushed this player through the wall, and cracks erupted on the arc of light!

"What!" The opponent couldn’t hide his surprise, then was thrust against the outer wall of the building by the impact, only to be bounced back by a barrier on the wall.

As the recipient of the force, Yan Jiayu wasn’t as embarrassed as he was, landing steadily in the middle of the room and charging forward wielding the Demon-Subduing Pestle in a flurry of strikes!

"Bang, bang, bang" went a few noise as a shield prop was suddenly cracked, and the player quickly dodged, using his characteristics to momentarily restrict Yan Jiayu’s speed before charging towards Xu Huo’s side!

His real target was the government player who hadn’t escaped yet, but just halfway there, a cold light swept over from the side!

The pursuing player quickly turned to dodge, and when he lifted his hand, dozens of cowhair needles flew out from his sleeve.

The air barrier was temporarily unusable, so Xu Huo simply placed Shelter 101 forward and back again. During the attack, he simultaneously used "Extreme Fatigue" and "Progress Bar Disappearance."

The player immediately felt the effects of the prop taking hold, and with a press on his cuff, the clothes he was wearing opened and closed like scales. With the color of his clothes changing once again, his face showed no sign of fatigue!

Yan Jiayu and the stone lion came back for more. The lazy Da Mao took a beat on the rear, pouring all its fury onto the pursuing player, retreating step by step under its assault.

"The vase’s effect!" The pursuing player tossed a cushion on the ground; Da Mao’s foot slipped in its thumping and landed on it, with a paw pinned to the ground.

But it was of little use, as the stone lion that carried violence through and through dug a hole directly out of the ground, needing not mind the cushion if it could bring along the floorboards.

Da Mao was difficult to handle, and neither were Xu Huo and Yan Jiayu any easier. Yan Jiayu engaged in close-quarters combat, and Xu Huo, while assisting with props, would unexpectedly charge in. Three minutes into the fight, both sides had inflicted damage.

Looking up towards the upper floors, Xu Huo walked up the stairs, and upon reaching the third floor, he sensed someone rapidly descending through the middle of the building. In an instant, he cut into the office floor, placing Shelter 101 directly below!

The fleeing player was originally using props to move between floors, but unexpectedly stepped on 101. He couldn’t break through this kind of metallic props from the game, and then he saw Xu Huo beside him, holding a crossbow aimed at him!

The crossbow arrow wasn’t a solid arrow; instead, it was a type of translucent ice, which quickly melted after piercing the wall!

Dai Song did not retort, but his expression turned angry, his entire body involuntarily tense, eyes filled with hatred mixed with slight humiliation and shame.

"Are you going to say that the Ya Clan caused the tragedy in Zone 023 and deserved to be taken as experimental subjects?" Xu Huo stared at him, speaking his hidden thoughts.

Yet Dai Song understood that human experimentation wasn’t tolerated, and he himself couldn’t justifiably accept it either. But provoked, he abruptly stood up and blurted out, "Don’t those people deserve punishment?!"

The voice echoed inside the venue prop, and after being provoked, Dai Song quickly calmed down and said indifferently, "I used to carry bodies, but back then I was young, and the ones I carried were all children’s corpses."

"Have you ever seen a mountain of children?"

"I have. Before that, I never thought that fifty children stacked together would be so tall..."

Everyone present fell silent. From his perspective, indeed, no form of revenge seemed enough to alleviate the hatred.

But at this point, Xu Huo spoke again, "Did Chunsun Laboratory conduct human experiments?"

The others couldn’t help but stare at him for a second, and as if entirely unaware of the heavy mood, Xu Huo continued with two questions, "Since the genetic disease in Twin Cities only targets certain people and experiments on the Ya Clan are useless, what kind of experiments did you perform on them? How were the corpses ultimately disposed of?"

"I don’t know," Dai Song sat back down, "Twin Cities’ laboratories were too busy saving themselves to have the capacity for other experiments, and very few Ya Clan members were sent to Twin Cities. Even if there were... they would soon be transferred to other cities."

"Name two places," Xu Huo said.

Only then did Dai Song look at him, "What are you trying to do?"

"Arrive upon invitation and leave with admiration," Xu Huo gazed calmly, not showing any ripple from his previous words.

"Ha!" Dai Song sneered, "Do you sympathize with the Ya Clan because they were used as experimental materials?"

With a shift in expression, he said with venomous hate, "Those people deserve to be slashed to pieces; they shouldn’t have descendants; such cruel, violent genes shouldn’t be passed down!"

Xu Huo did not interrupt his emotional display, nor did he pass any judgment on the grudges of the past, saying, "I’m just curious about what kind of human experiments were being conducted in Zone 023; you’re so angry, aren’t you also opposed to human experimentation?"

"Don’t you want to know what your own compatriots are doing?"
