Kaidan Game Train: Abide Rule or Die! -
Chapter 1315 - 1316
Chapter 1315: Chapter 1316
(Wait a moment to modify) "Don’t worry, I’m not from District 001." Xu Huo explained considerately, and then said, "If the situation in District 001 were really that bad, I wouldn’t need to take the risk."
"It’s not that serious either," said the clean-faced man’s companion. "After all, it’s a large district. If they can’t catch anyone, things will quickly be forgotten."
Seeing Xu Huo was easy to talk to, the clean-faced man found another topic to chat about, even mentioning the maze instance strategy.
The carriage basically had only his voice, gradually causing dissatisfaction among other players. His companion quickly stopped him, advising him to change positions, "Don’t disturb others reading."
"Meeting is fate, if you don’t mind, let’s sit together. I just ordered food, want to eat together?" Xu Huo invited.
The two exchanged a glance and stayed, with the companion apologetically saying, "How can we make you spend money, we’ll order ourselves..."
Before he could finish, he was interrupted by the clean-faced man, "Actually, we are already out of money."
Not embarrassed at all, the clean-faced man revealed frankly, "I spent all my money in Card City and can only head to the next instance."
The companion helplessly covered his forehead, while Xu Huo laughed, "I can afford a meal, don’t be shy."
With a full smile, the clean-faced man said to his companion, "See, I told you, there are still good people in this world."
There wasn’t much his companion could say, except to introduce himself to Xu Huo.
His name was Luo Shizong, and the clean-faced man was Meng Di. Both were from a district with a less favorable environment and had always been companions in the game.
The dining car brought their meals; even Luo Shizong’s eyes brightened a bit, but Meng Di was more straightforward, "I’ve never tasted such expensive dishes before, I usually just look at them, but today I get to feast!"
"Just got a little windfall, eat whatever you like," Xu Huo said.
Meng Di didn’t hold back at all, shoveling food into his mouth from both sides, even though Luo Shizong repeatedly reminded him to be cautious, he didn’t change his manner. Luo Shizong apologetically explained, "Our hometown has poor conditions and food is scarce, we developed habits that are hard to change quickly."
Xu Huo didn’t ask further, signaling to chat after eating. In the middle, he generously ordered another dish.
All three ate heartily, and finally, Meng Di drank water from his cup, pressed his palms together, and thanked Xu Huo. He looked young, so the gesture seemed natural, and then he took out a box of stones and placed it on the table.
"Brother Xu, our props and potions are limited, and we need to take them back to share with other companions, so we can’t casually give them away. But these stones are acquired from other players and probably aren’t worth much, but they are quite pretty. Please accept them as a memento."
"We’re really poor now, but we’ll become prosperous in the future. When that time comes, visit us, and I’ll treat you to a meal!"
Two pairs of eyes from the carriage focused on the box, and Xu Huo smiled as he picked up a jade-like stone from the box, holding it up towards the table next door for a look.
The sight of the gentle-looking male player and a short-haired female player who had just come out of the adjacent room followed his gesture, nodding slightly at them. Xu Huo placed the stone back on the table, "This seems to be a secondary stone; the specific type is unclear, but it looks of decent quality and could sell for a good price."
"Is this a secondary stone?" Meng Di looked around in surprise, "Secondary stones are better than regular prop stones, usually dark and dingy, this doesn’t quite look like it."
"Secondary stones come in all kinds of shapes," said the short-haired female player, "It’s hard to distinguish by eye. I have an identification device that can gauge the stone’s approximate grade."
Meng Di was not worried about the stone being stolen, actively inviting the female player to help with an identification.
The short-haired female player took out an instrument resembling a microscope and placed the stone under the probe. She didn’t need to adjust it, and half a minute later, the instrument automatically provided a result.
"B-grade quality, quite good," the female player said. "Are you selling this stone? I’ll offer the market price."
Meng Di stared at the stone, "Won’t this identification backfire? If the stone can’t be used for creating props, won’t you take a loss?"
The female player chuckled, "Then we’ll leave it to fate; it might even be better than the instrument’s result."
Meng Di turned to look at Luo Shizong, who was reluctant but ultimately agreed.
After the transaction, Luo Shizong exclaimed with some regret, "Too bad there are no Artifact Makers in our district, otherwise it would be great to keep it and create props."
"Look on the bright side, at least we made a fortune," Meng Di was quite cheerful and then said to Xu Huo, "Brother Xu, you’re really generous. Tonight, we’ll treat you!"
He slapped the White Notes in his hand with a loud smack.
Of course, the stone still had to be given, and Xu Huo picked a green one for meaning and returned the box. Meng Di also gave him a card marked with wormhole points and district information, solemnly inviting him to visit them in the future.
The three had a reasonably joyful conversation, and Meng Di specially told him some rules of the maze, advising him to choose a relatively safe instance to do, and the tickets for the maze instance weren’t too expensive.
Xu Huo accepted his kind offer.
Before the lights went out, the two got off the train. Once they left, the carriage became quieter again, but the two people from the station earlier sat in front of Xu Huo, grinning, "Money boy, you’re quite generous, how about lending us some money for fun?"
Xu Huo smiled somewhat playfully at the two, "Are you sure?"
"Looking for trouble." Before the two could speak, the short-haired female player snorted.
"Don’t say that, we don’t mean to be unreasonable, no need to escalate to killing and robbing," the male player said with a smile.
However, the short-haired female player rolled her eyes, "Reckless."
The male player understood she was referring to him, and his face changed. He swept the water cup off the table with a swift motion!
