Chapter 225: Pranks and Surprises ( 225 )
"Umm... err... no..." the receptionist quickly said, waving her hands.
"Oh..." Kisha replied, lowering her head slightly in relief.
The receptionist straightened herself and spoke more clearly.
"It’s just... Deputy Guild Master, Sir Gikan, asked to speak with him. It’s about the monsters he helped... um... destroy before."
Kisha tilted her head gently.
"Oh... so... it’s about?"
The receptionist gave a sheepish smile.
"Ah... I don’t know the full detail. I was only told to find him and bring him back."
There was a pause.
Then she added, "Can I see him now?"
Kisha looked away.
"Umm... he kind of... doesn’t like to be disturbed."
The receptionist blinked.
"He’s sleeping?"
Kisha nodded slowly.
"He said if he’s sleeping... not to wake him."
The receptionist slumped slightly.
"...He really is difficult."
Kisha gave a tiny nod of agreement.
"But he brought breakfast for the kids... So... he’s not that bad."
The receptionist bowed slightly, hands clasped in front of her.
Kisha, still a bit nervous, returned the bow with a polite nod.
Then...
The receptionist took a step forward, hand reaching for the door handle.
"I’ll just speak with him for a minute—"
But Kisha stepped in front of the door, arms stretched gently, blocking the way.
"Please... don’t disturb him."
The receptionist blinked.
"I... I can’t. I must bring him to the guild," she said, trying to step around.
But Kisha didn’t move.
"I was told not to let anyone bother him."
The receptionist frowned slightly and tried to push past, just lightly, hands brushing Kisha’s shoulder.
But she didn’t budge.
Kisha wasn’t strong like a warrior or a guard—but somehow, her stance was immovable in that moment. Not aggressive. Not violent.
Just... firm.
Quietly unshakable.
The receptionist blinked again, surprised.
"I... I didn’t think you were this strong."
"I’m not," Kisha said softly.
"But he said to stop anyone."
There was an awkward silence.
Suddenly—
"Mister Hazuki!!" the receptionist shouted toward the hallway.
"Mister Hazuk—!!"
Before she could finish, Kisha gently clamped a hand over her mouth.
"Please don’t," she whispered, eyes wide with quiet urgency.
The receptionist’s muffled voice tried to continue through the hand.
"—mph!?"
Kisha leaned closer, whispering again.
"He’s not someone who likes being disturbed when he’s sleeping."
The receptionist slowly stopped struggling, blinking.
Kisha held her hand there another moment, then slowly let go.
The receptionist exhaled through her nose and muttered,
"...He can’t be that grumpy."
Kisha just looked at her.
Softly.
Quietly.
Almost with pity.
"...He is."
Inside the orphanage, Hazuki was already sprawled on the worn-down couch, one arm hanging off the side, the other draped across his eyes.
Light snoring echoed gently through the room.
Across the wooden floor, Ridan floated lazily in a slow circle above him, like a misty guardian with nothing better to do.
But then, He heard it.
"Mister Hazuki!!"
The voice came from outside the door.
Ridan’s eye twitched.
"...Again?" he muttered.
He floated toward the front of the house, passing through a ceiling beam like mist through smoke.
Peeking through the narrow doorway, he spotted the guild receptionist still mid-argument with Kisha.
Ridan tilted his head.
His gaze... slowly dropped.
"Hmm..."
Then he saw it.
Her body heat flaring gently in his spirit vision.
"...Big."
His mist form shimmered with curiosity.
Then a mischievous grin spread across his face.
"Well... time to land~ eheheh."
With the grace of a leaf on the wind, he drifted down, And plopped himself right on her chest.
Though invisible and weightless, he sank slightly into the plush sensation with a dreamy sigh.
"Mmm... nice... bouncing melon~"
He folded his arms behind his head, smiling like a smug cloud.
Outside, the receptionist shifted slightly, confused.
"...Why do I feel heavier all of a sudden?"
"Eeehh!?? Why are my breasts bouncing!?" the receptionist yelped, arms flailing slightly as she looked down in confusion.
She wasn’t moving. And yet—
Boing boing~
The sensation made her stiffen.
"Ahn—!"
She suddenly shivered, arms wrapping around herself as her face turned crimson.
"W-What is happening!?"
Behind her, Kisha stared in wide-eyed confusion.
"I-I didn’t touch anything...!"
Up above, still comfortably parked on his "invisible throne," Ridan grinned like a pervert on vacation.
"Ahhh... the perfect landing spot. Soft, warm, and jiggly~"
He rolled slightly.
"Ten outta ten."
"Eeekkk!! Why!?" the receptionist gasped, frantically clutching her chest as if trying to hold her own body in place.
Her face was bright red, eyes darting around in panic.
Kisha blinked in confusion, clearly at a loss.
"I-I... I’ll come back later!!" the receptionist yelped, turning on her heel.
She stumbled once over the step, then bolted down the path like her life depended on it.
"Eeeeekkk!!"
The sound of rapidly retreating footsteps echoed through the orphanage yard.
From her spot near the door, Kisha slowly blinked again.
"...Did I miss something?"
Back inside, still lounging on his invisible perch, Ridan floated up with a smug little spin, arms behind his head.
Still floating just inside the orphanage doorway, Ridan twirled in place, arms behind his head and a dreamy grin on his face.
"Man... that fluffy beast girl..." he sighed.
"Mmm~ Ten outta ten."
He did a lazy backflip mid-air, absolutely beaming.
"Perfect bounce, perfect shape... mmm~ like clouds stuffed into a dress!"
He spun again, hugging himself in the air with a satisfied sigh.
"I could nap right there and call it a day."
Down below, Kisha was still trying to process what just happened, brushing her skirt nervously and glancing toward the gate like the receptionist might come charging back in screaming.
Meanwhile, Hazuki...
Was still dead asleep.
Snoring softly on the couch with a bun crumb stuck to his cheek.
Still floating in mid-air, Ridan smirked as his eyes shifted from the town gate to the woman standing nearby.
"Hm... this one’s not boing-boing, but..." he said, floating sideways to examine Kisha as if she were a prized object.
"Still a perfect shape... classic elegance."
His grin widened mischievously.
"Time to dig in~"
With a quiet, playful giggle, he suddenly zipped toward Kisha, who was now looking around, confused by the sudden breeze brushing past her ear.
Ridan landed softly—right on her chest, near her cleavage.
"Aum~" he purred, sinking into the smooth, warm sensation of her embrace.
"Nice... not too flashy, but soft and firm~ real human silk!"
Kisha blinked, stunned for a moment.
Then she looked down at her chest, feeling puzzled.
"...Why do I feel like something touched me?"
She brushed her blouse slightly, shivering as a strange, tingling sensation crawled up her neck.
Meanwhile, Ridan appeared like a fluffy cloud, eyes closed, a smug smile wide on his face—completely unrepentant in his playful mischief.
