Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Really Beautiful
Yusuf Zuck had just spent 12,000 yuan on that jade ornament when his phone rang right on time, displaying another unfamiliar number.
"Bro, it’s Dream, I’ve arrived in the capital."
"You’re here already? That was quick! I thought you wouldn’t arrive until this afternoon. Do this, wait for me at the airport, I’ll come to pick you up right away." Yusuf originally planned to have Samuel or Benedict pick him up, but now that they no longer had a car available, he had to go himself.
"No problem, I’ll wait for you, no rush." After Dream replied cheerfully, he immediately hung up.
"Let’s go, I have to pick someone up from the airport." Yusuf returned to the first stall and pulled Miles up, saying.
"Pick someone up at the airport? I’d better not go then, you go ahead. I have to get back to the shop later, Uncle Hao is out for something at noon, so I need to keep an eye on the store."
"That’s fine, I’ll find you after I’ve picked up the person. I just found these few items, help me sell them." Yusuf handed over the paper bag to Miles.
"Uh... okay." Miles was taken aback, wondering how Yusuf had managed to buy so much in such a short time. He seemed to be buying recklessly.
Yusuf didn’t go into details, instead, he quickly left. He couldn’t let Dream wait at the airport for too long.
A few minutes later, he reached the gate of the street marketplace, but upon arriving, he also stopped because at the first stall near the gate was an antique that he had detected without intending to use his telekinesis.
It was a sword with a bluish-green patina of rust.
"How much for this sword?" Yusuf stopped and pointed at the rusty sword on the ground.
The vendor replied, "180 will do."
"Take it." Without haggling, Yusuf counted out 180 yuan and left with the sword.
He didn’t know much about antiques, but a sword like this had to be worth a few hundred at least, and even if it turned out to be a loss, he wouldn’t miss the 180 yuan.
After placing the rusty sword in the trunk, Yusuf headed straight for the airport, while also calling Samuel to ask him to make time to urgently look for a house.
Samuel then guaranteed it would be taken care of within three days, or he would present his head in apology!
Of course, that was just a joke they shared over the phone.
"Oh, by the way, Ms. Wilcox just notified me to bring a few people and go to the airport... no, they’ve already landed and a lot of people from the company went. I’ve got to go, I’ll stop talking now." Samuel finished and then directly ended the call.
At that moment, Yusuf raised his eyebrows; Ruth Wilcox was also going to the airport. What a coincidence.
He thought for a moment and then dialed Ruth Wilcox’s number.
"Are you at home?" The phone rang twice before it was picked up, and she directly asked if he was at home.
"No, I’m on my way to the airport to pick up a friend who flew in from Shandong. I just heard from Samuel that you guys were also going to the airport. How about this, let Benedict drive your car with Samuel in the passenger seat; I wouldn’t feel comfortable if you drove yourself." Yusuf said.
"Oh..." Ruth replied softly, her voice sounding a bit hoarse.
"What’s the matter?" Yusuf asked gravely.
"You moved me," Ruth suddenly laughed through her tears.
"Pop–" After speaking, Ruth hung up the phone.
Yusuf sighed, feeling an indescribable discomfort in his heart.
After being stuck in city traffic for half a day, it took almost an hour for Yusuf to get on the airport expressway. Shortly after he did, he had an unexpected encounter with a motorcade, the leader of which was Ruth Wilcox’s A8, followed by A6s or Mercedes—six or seven cars in total.
Yusuf overtook the cars behind and then drove in tandem with the A8.
Driving was Benedict, and as expected, Samuel was sitting in the passenger seat; Ruth really took his advice.
Benedict rolled down the window, and the rear window also fell, as Ruth nibbled her lips slightly, staring blankly at Yusuf for a moment.
Benedict and Maxwell both waved to Yusuf.
Yusuf lifted his phone and then accelerated to pass them.
From the A8 behind, Ruth watched Yusuf’s Buick disappear from her sight before suddenly asking, "You guys are quite familiar with Yusuf, right? Do you know who he is going to pick up?"
"We do." Samuel smiled, "His classmate from sports school, I heard they practice Judo."
"Oh," Ruth uttered softly, actually wanting to inquire whether it was a man or a woman, but considering they practiced Judo and were classmates, it probably wasn’t a woman.
"Later, give him a call and let him know I’ve already arranged a room for him at the hotel; tell his classmate to go straight there," Ruth said indifferently.
"Understood, Ms. Wilcox," Samuel nodded, thinking to himself that Ms. Wilcox was really not ordinary when it came to Yusuf. Could it be that over this period, sparks had flown between Yusuf and Ms. Wilcox?
Of course, he could only speculate about such matters, and he would never dare to ask them out loud.
...
When Yusuf arrived at the airport first, he immediately spotted Dream Morrow sitting on the parking lot barrier.
This guy wasn’t waiting in the airport lounge but was basking in the sun alone on the barrier.
"Dream, here!" Yusuf parked the taxi, jumped out, and waved to Dream in the distance.
"Bro!" Dream turned abruptly, also leaping off the barrier and running towards Yusuf with a happy face.
Dream was the same age as Yusuf, his birthday a month and a bit younger. He wasn’t very tall, around one seventy-something, but he was very well-built. Not the flabby type of fat but the kind of robustness that seemed filled with power.
A Judo practitioner, a professional wrestling expert, strong in eating and fighting!
"Stop, don’t hug me!" Yusuf quickly retreated in fear as he saw Dream charging over for a hug. Back in school, Dream always liked to embrace people, and those who were unacquainted would end up thrown to the ground upon embracing him.
Back then, he practiced Judo with the intent to throw everyone he could as practice!
"Come on, man, a hug, I won’t throw you, we’re not back at school, no need for that nonsense!" Dream continued to approach, laughing as he did so.
"Hug my foot, is that all the luggage you’ve got?" Yusuf glared, signaling Dream that if he came closer, he would turn hostile.
Nonetheless, Dream stopped and scratched his head, "It’s not like I’m moving, just a few clothes is enough, bro, I’m craving tripe, I heard it’s delicious in the capital."
"Get in the car, I’ll take you to eat," Yusuf laughed, here comes another food lover.
"Alrighty," Dream laughed heartily, following Yusuf into the car, taking the passenger seat.
And at that moment, Ruth’s motorcade entered the parking lot.
Yusuf thought for a moment and said, "Let’s wait a bit before we leave."
"Mhmm," Dream followed Yusuf’s gaze towards the approaching motorcade.
The motorcade parked side by side; Samuel was the first to get out, opening the door for Ruth, who then looked back at Yusuf’s Buick before turning to walk towards the terminal building.
"A beauty, bro, do you know her?" Dream’s eyes lit up. The woman getting out of the car was tall with long legs, exuding an innate air of nobility, and so breathtaking he could hardly breathe, most importantly, the beauty had deliberately glanced their way.
"Mhmm," Yusuf nodded, watching her from a distance, truly beautiful.
