Chapter 65: Disband In One Motion

"Yes you! Do you know who I am?" Cheng Dan Di asked, the mace in his hand shudder slightly, creating clanging sound.

From the tone of his voice alone, the village chief knew that if this newcomer were to reply inappropriately, then he would be as good as dead!

Seeing this, he can’t help but step up to speak up.

"Immortal Cheng, this person is a newcomer, please forgive his rude behavior." He apologized, bowing to salute the man.

However, Shi Jing quickly picked up his feet and walked toward toward Du Bang Xi. After a couple of step, he stopped just behind the elderly man, then patted him on the shoulder.

"Elder Du, this is not necessary."

Hearing Shi Jing’s calm and indifferent voice, Du Bang Xi was confused.

He wasn’t the only one, the crowd of villagers behind them as well.

"What is he doing? Does he not know that Cheng Dan Di actually encountered an immortal fortune and became a great immortal himself?"

"If he keep doing this, he will lose his head!"

Shi Jing ignored their discussion and walked past elder Du Bang Xi, stopping just two feet in front of Cheng Dan Di.

"You!"

Cheng Dan Di face contorted with boiling rage as he raise his mace toward Shi Jing. To think that a weak mortal like Shi Jing actually disrespect like this, he couldn’t believe it!

Cheng Dan Di movement was quick and swift, and in just half a second, the mace was already above Shi Jing’s head.

However, this mace froze in midair.

"I’m curious, which inheritance did you encounter?" Shi Jing whispered in a low voice. It was soft and fragile.

But right now, to Cheng Dan Di, this soft whisper is like the voice of death.

The winter air is already cold and freezing. White snow flakes dotted the green mud for a stretch of land.

During this time of the year, who wouldn’t feel cold and weak?

However, Cheng Dan Di is a cultivator, how could he feel cold from the weather?

’Cold! Too cold!"

Yet at this moment, he felt a chill he has not seen all his life. This is not the coldness of winter, nor is it the coldness of fear.

This is the coldness of death!

If life is warm and beautiful, then death is extremely cold and ugly!

The villagers as well as village chief was confused as to why Cheng Dan Di stopped mid motion. Shi Jing whisper was too low and quiet for them to hear.

But to Cheng Dan Di, his voice was too clear.

At this moment, Shi Jing gaze penetrated Cheng Dan Di body, examining him top down. Then, with a swift tug motion, he snatched the storage pouch from Cheng Dan Di waist.

His underlings, who was surrounding him saw this and quickly rushed forward.

"Boss!"

However, Cheng Dan Di stopped them from making a foolish mistake.

"Don’t come closer!" He shouted, finally, recovering his ability to move.

He didn’t know how Shi Jing stopped him moving, or snatched his pouch.

What he did know is that even at this moment, despite their close distance, he couldn’t feel a single fluctuation of essence from Shi Jing body!

’An expert!’ He exclaimed inwardly with shock and fear.

’No, this has to be an old monster!’

Without regard for his own status, he quickly kneeled toward Shi Jing.

"Senior! This junior has eyes but cannot see the heavens! Please forgive this lowly one’s offense!"

Cheng Dan Di’s voice trembled as he kowtowed repeatedly, his forehead striking the frozen ground with dull thuds.

His earlier arrogance had completely evaporated like morning mist.

The villagers gasped in collective shock.

The mighty "Immortal Cheng" who had terrorized their region for years was now groveling like a dog before this seemingly ordinary newcomer?

Du Bang Xi’s aged eyes widened in disbelief. "This... what is happening?"

Shi Jing remained motionless, his expression unchanged as he casually examined the storage pouch in his hands.

With a gentle probe of his spiritual sense, he quickly counted the contents—a modest collection of spirit stones, some low-grade pills, and various trinkets clearly stolen from villages.

"Trash," Shi Jing murmured, his voice carrying a trace of disappointment.

"You obtained a Foundation Establishment inheritance yet squander it bullying mortals instead of doing something useful with it."

He tossed the pouch back at Cheng Dan Di’s feet with obvious disdain.

"Tell me, what was your original cultivation manual called?"

Cheng Dan Di didn’t dare raise his head. "The... the Tiger Body Tempering Art and Blue Qi Circulation art. Both are Low-Earth Grade. This junior found it in an ancient cave dwelling fifteen year ago."

"Tiger and Blue Qi..." Shi Jing repeated thoughtfully.

"Earth-Grade body tempering art as well as Qi-cultivation art. With proper dedication, you could have reached mid-stage Qi Refinement by now."

The gang leader’s face burned with shame. Every word was like a knife cutting into his pride.

Shi Jing’s gaze swept over the dozen gang members who stood frozen in terror. None dared to move or even breathe loudly.

"From today forward, the Tiger Wing Gang will disband," Shi Jing declared in a calm but absolute tone.

"Return everything you’ve stolen from these villagers."

"But Senior—" one of the underlings began to protest.

The words died in his throat as Shi Jing’s spiritual pressure descended like a mountain.

Though he kept it restrained, even this tiny fraction of his Foundation Establishment aura was enough to make the mortals among the gang collapse to their knees, gasping for air.

"You dare question me?"

The temperature around them seemed to drop several degrees. Ice crystals began forming on the nearby grass.

"No! No, Senior! We understand! We’ll disband immediately!" Cheng Dan Di frantically kowtowed again.

"This junior will personally ensure every stolen item is returned!"

Shi Jing withdrew his pressure and the oppressive atmosphere lifted. The gang members scrambled to their feet, many of them pale and shaking.

"You have three days," Shi Jing said plainly.

"If I hear of the Tiger Wing Gang’s name after that, or if any of you trouble these villages again..."

He didn’t need to finish the threat. The implication hung in the air like a death sentence.

While Cheng Dan Di struggled to his feet, still keeping his head bowed low. Shi Jing was already walking away, his figure seeming to blur and fade like a mirage.

The villagers parted before him like water, their faces filled with awe and confusion.

Du Bang Xi stared after him, finally understanding that this quiet newcomer was no ordinary person.

As for the Tiger Wing Gang, they scattered like leaves in the wind, Cheng Dan Di’s shouted orders to gather all stolen goods echoing behind them.
