Chapter 591: Chapter 1: The Revival of Bai Guo

"You all go buy your props first and leave, I’m going to resurrect Bai Guo." Qin Yan looked at everyone around and urged them to teleport out of the room.

"Why? I want to see someone get resurrected." Chu Baichuan was confused. The shock from seeing Lin Weiguo’s resurrection last time hadn’t faded away yet, he wanted to reap the spectacle once more.

"Idiot, the person is naked when they get resurrected." Ai Yixin always noticed the details, she pinched her husband once, finished choosing props and let the Trojan Horse Game teleport them out.

Everyone was saying their goodbyes; while Lin Weiguo also desired to see Bai Guo, he decided it would be best to leave to avoid suspicion.

"Tang Zheng, you don’t have to leave." Qin Yan called out to the about to depart Tang Zheng, "I think Bai Guo would also like to see you."

"Then, I won’t leave either," Lu Fan sat cross-legged on the floor, "Hurry up and start."

"Choose the second one. I want to resurrect a dead player from the Trojan Horse Game." Qin Yan took a deep breath to calm herself down, but her trembling lips revealed her eagerness. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

The screens on six sides dimmed down one after another, then gradually, one square inch sized avatar pictures lit up one by one, squirming on the screen like a gluttonous snake. In less than a minute, thousands of avatars of recently deceased survivors in the Trojan Horse Game flickered by.

"I want to resurrect Bai Guo, the flight attendant who entered the game with me." Qin Yan finished briefing, afraid of encountering anyone with a same name, she quickly added more information.

The gluttonous snake hovered on Bai Guo’s avatar and it suddenly enlarged to occupy the whole screen.

"Ten thousand points deducted, resurrection starts."

A red light beam shot out from a horn of the Trojan Horse, hitting the floor. Like a printer, it started to ’print’ Bai Guo at her feet. As the red line moved upward, Bai Guo’s bare legs began to appear. By the time the red light reached her upper thighs, Tang Zheng spun around, covered his eyes, and signaled that he wasn’t watching.

It took only about twenty seconds, and a naked Bai Guo stood in the center of the room. Qin Yan and Lu Fan, though they had witnessed the miracle of resurrection before, were still shocked by the magical scene.

Before Bai Guo could open her eyes or utter a word, Qin Yan pulled out a thick blanket from her wristwatch and quickly enveloped it closely around her.

"Huh, Sister Qin Yan." Bai Guo was stunned, she didn’t remember anything else but hugged Qin Yan then broke down in tears.

"It’s okay, you are back now." Qin Yan patted Bai Guo’s back to comfort her.

"Little Fan Fan, you’re here too. Where are Sister Xin Lan and Brother Weiguo?" Bai Guo looked at Lu Fan with question while lying on Qin Yan’s shoulder.

"It’s a long story, I’ll tell you if you squat down." Lu Fan beckoned, Bai Guo was confused. She loosened her hold on Qin Yan, squatted down in front of Lu Fan. As she was about to inquire about it, a small hand reached out.

"Dammit, these *** haven’t gotten smaller at all!" Lu Fan pretended to be angry, then instantly his grimace turned into a sunflower-like grin, "Welcome back, Sister Bai Guo."

Bai Guo was startled, her face flushed red in embarrassment. She quickly adjusted the blanket around her, but it was futile as the little Lolita’s hands were inside the blanket. Remembering the situation, she hurriedly stood up to escape Lu Fan’s grasp.

"It’s been over four months since you’ve been resurrected, you’ll need to think carefully about what you say to your family members." When Tang Zheng looked at Bai Guo’s naive and innocent face, all of a sudden, he felt a familiar sensation and remembered how she had died in Demon City.

"Bai Guo’s home isn’t in this city, and she also resides in the airline company’s dormitory, but this time she’ll stay at my place." Qin Yan didn’t tell Bai Guo’s family about her death and was still concealing the truth.

"Oh, I remember, I think I died, but how am I here again?" Bai Guo seemed peaceful as she put on the face of a renowned detective, attempting to understand what just happened. Even after some time, she hadn’t uttered a single word, and her brows were furrowed so deep they could trap a crab.

"Detective, have you guessed anything?" Lu Fan inquired with a grin.

"I can’t figure it out!" Bai Guo was increasingly vexed, and was still racking his brains. He subconsciously replied, "There must be some necessary conditions missing from this puzzle. Once I assemble them, I’ll be able to guess."

"Let Qin Yan tell you." A smirk appeared on the corner of Tang Zheng’s mouth. He took out a bottle of Wasteland Strengthening Elixir and gave it to him, along with a gravity gun.

"That’s right, why didn’t I think of that? A level A prop?" Bai Guo touched it and looked at Tang Zheng, asking, "Then what are you going to use?"

"Next time, Bai Guo will only have the donated protective clothing. Be careful, and back in reality, teach her combat skills." Having instructed Qin Yan, Tang Zheng waved his hand and prepared to leave.

Qin Yan’s lips moved a few times, but in the end, she didn’t propose that ’you should teach her too’.

...

The place they teleported to this time was a botanic garden. Looking at the moonlight above, Tang Zheng walked along the stone path scattered with delicate moonlight and took a seat to rest on a park bench, falling into deep thought.

"I currently have 9236 points and a dozen seeds. If I go through another game, I can resurrect Xin Lan. But then what? Should I leave when I reach ten thousand points? Or should I wait for Qin Yan and the others and we all leave together?" Tang Zheng knew that the latter option wasn’t feasible. It’s true that these two games had given him five thousand points, but each time he had barely survived. He didn’t believe his luck could continue indefinitely.

"But if we don’t leave together, what’s the point of me reviving them?" Tang Zheng shook his head and stood up, stretching out in a yawn. "Next time I should be able to get four thousand points, so I should turn the seeds and extra points into props, but what should I buy?"

Tang Zheng browsed the Trojan List while walking silently. As he passed a lawn, he suddenly heard a man and woman panting heavily. He froze.

"Really? Sneaking into the botanic garden in the middle of the night to do this?" Tang Zheng subconsciously looked in the direction of the couple. As far as he remembered, the daytime admission fee was five yuan, so it seemed these lovebirds knew how to save.

With Tang Zheng’s vision, he could easily see the characters involved, one of whom was a taxi driver, and the other was kind of an acquaintance.

...

"Life is hard on everyone." Tang Zheng thought about the man’s wife. What was she doing? Was she reading books with their child? Or working night shifts? If she found out about her husband’s affair, what would she think?

The four-meter wall was no obstacle to Tang Zheng. He jumped over it effortlessly and then hailed a taxi to return to Jingshan Villa.

Unexpectedly, An Xiuru was at home. Hearing the sound of his key opening the door, she immediately ran out.

"You’re here?" Seeing An Xiuru standing in the living room dressed in a modest, orange-colored underwear, Tang Zheng was a bit at a loss for words.

"What have you done? There’s so much blood!" An Xiuru was scared, she quickly trotted over, her hands inspecting his body cautiously, "How were you injured? Should we go to the hospital?"

Tang Zheng looked unkempt, his clothes were torn, covered in blood stains, and he radiated a strong smell of blood.

An Xiuru was a good woman, evident from her line of questioning. Even if Tang Zheng committed a crime, she would hide and protect him.

"It’s not mine, and I’m a law-abiding citizen," Tang Zheng hurried to explain. "A bath will fix it."

"You sit down for a bit while I go run the bath for you." An Xiuru hurried into the bathroom.
