Chapter 565: Chapter 36 1VS60, Hang-time Shot!

The death of Liu Hui’ai didn’t cause any ripples, humble like an ant, so lonely that she didn’t even have family and friends to send her off.

The Conquerors were utterly unconcerned about her, didn’t even spare her a glance, all focusing on killing the Nazi Zombies. Meanwhile, the newbies only worried about their own safety, sneaking glances at Tang Zheng now and then, wondering if they would receive aid from this kind-hearted Group Leader if they wound up injured.

Tang Zheng’s rescue undoubtedly increased his popularity among the newbies, although, the Conquerors have always seen him as a sappy alley cat.

"Being soft-hearted is a disease, it needs to be cured!" Lin Weiguo sighed. If it were him, he definitely wouldn’t run with a sure-dying burden on his back. He still had a family to take care of back home.

"I hope you find happiness in heaven, rest in peace!" It did not take any effort for Tang Zheng to carry Liu Hui’ai. He didn’t mind lending a hand while trying to score points with the others. However, it seemed this woman’s luck had run out.

Ignoring her, Tang Zheng made a running start and with a few steps on the wall, climbed onto the four-meter-high rooftop. Shortly after, on seeing the whole alley swarming with Nazi Zombies, he decisively detonated the Remote Control Bomb he had left in the alley. The explosion wiped out dozens of Nazi Zombies and momentarily cut them off.

Houses collapsed, yellow smoke rose from the alley, making the already dim vision under the streetlights even worse.

"I hate the dark night." Little Lolita continued aiming after changing the ammo clip. When the firing didn’t result in a hit, she swiftly picked up the rifle and repositioned. The attack from the Giant Zombie was just behind. Bullets traversed the night sky, leaving behind six dark red lines of fire, all hitting her former location.

Half the roof collapsed, chunks of rubble fell, hitting a few unlucky zombies.

"Lu Fan, focus on sniping the Giant Zombie. Dantai and old Lin, suppress with firepower. The rest can attack at will." Tang Zheng shot at the zombies with his AK74, not willing to throw bombs in the alley because they were too expensive to waste.

Qin Yan went along the continuous roof. She could jump over small streets three meters wide with slight leaps. Afterward, the Doomsday Predator in her hand spewed bullets, turning the zombies below into chunks of meat, reaping their lives one by one.

Pang Meiqin and Xu Biyun also climbed onto the roof. They could not miss this opportunity to earn points. However, their shooting skills were not particularly good, so their harvest was not significant.

Xu Biyun saw Pang Meiqin pull out a Night Vision Device and put it on her head. Immediately giving the surrounding a look, she felt defeated because except for Chu Baichuan and Ai Yixin, all the Conquerors had Night Vision Devices on their heads.

"I should look for an opportunity to ask for guidance from Tang Zheng or the Old Soldier." Xu Biyun also understood the details that determine success or failure. But waiting for the Group Leader to tell her everything made her feel entirely useless.

"What are you daydreaming for? Waiting to take a bullet?" Xu Biyun had just been dazed for a fraction of time when she heard Tang Zheng’s warning and instantly felt a warmth of being cared for.

Xu Biyun subconsciously looked for Tang Zheng’s figure and was stunned by what she saw.

Tang Zheng’s killing technique was apparently superior to theirs. He continuously fired the AK74 in his hand. The muzzle flame only paused briefly when changing the Drum Magazine. However, he maintained a high hit rate, each bullet hitting the zombie’s head range, blowing off their skulls or tearing half of their neck.

Tang Zheng would never waste a bullet below their necks. He aimed for a sure kill. Otherwise, even if their limbs were blown, as long as their brains were intact, these zombies could still fight, after all, teeth could also be lethal.

Soon, bodies were strewn everywhere in the alley. Wherever Tang Zheng passed, bodies of zombies without heads lay on the ground.

Shots ran out, Drum Magazines fell on the ground. Tang Zheng was too lazy to pick them up. His strong arm muscles and the coordination sense made his time to change the drum magazine by one hand reach to the Limit. He seemed like a phantom in Xu Biyun’s eyes.

The Punishment Squad wasn’t devoid of wisdom, apparent by their Equipment. Seeing Tang Zheng killing wildly, the Undying Warrior Leader targeted him. He waved, and sixty bowmen quickly jumped onto the roof. In the process of sprinting, they pulled their bows and shot five arrows in quick succession aiming at Tang Zheng.

The arrows whistled past, almost at the blink of an eye, shot in front of Tang Zheng, completely engulfing him.

Tang Zheng stopped his charge, turning his body, and pushing off his left foot forcefully, he stoutly sprung to the left side. Using too much strength, where he stepped was filled with spider-web cracks.

Clang, clang, clang. All arrows plunged into the roof, deep up to a foot, only leaving out a bit of the arrow shaft.

Ah, Xu Biyun screamed as she hit the ground with an arrow in her body. Qin Yan narrowly avoided the arrows. Those arrows were too fast. All she saw in her eyes were arrowheads reflecting the moonlight, flashing with vanishing silver lines.

"Watch out." Tang Zheng switched to the Gauss Sniper Rifle, pulling the bolt. The moment he jumped down the roof and turned around to aim at an archer, the moment it appeared in the scope, he immediately pulled the trigger.

Bang. The Armor-piercing High-explosive Incendiary Bullet whistled and arrived at the Archer, blowing his whole right shoulder to pieces. The tremendous impact even knocked him out.

The archers quickly retaliated, and arrows flew forth, but Tang Zheng had already landed in the alley. Sixty archers ran after him immediately.

Tang Zheng sprinted for five meters in the alley, then, using the sprinting force, suddenly leaped up. In the moment his body appeared in mid-air, the muzzle moved, aiming at another archer. When the figure appeared in the scope, he once again pulled the trigger.

Boom, as Tang Zheng’s eyes dropped to the eaves, he saw the upper half of his target be blasted to pieces.

"Lucky!" Tang Zheng took off running again, rehashing his trick after three meters, and another archer was blown apart.

"Damn, that actually works?" The old soldier and Chu Baichuan also climbed onto the roof, and were dumbstruck seeing Tang Zheng jump-shot in mid-air, killing the Punishment Squad with his Gauss sniper rifle.

Pang Meiqin, hiding in a patch of shadow on the rooftop, felt overwhelming envy. If only she had such power then she wouldn’t have to hide like a lost dog.

"Go help him, he won’t be able to hold out much longer." With sixty archers after Tang Zheng, Dantai thought that even if he managed to hold on, he’d be severely injured.

After Tang Zheng once again killed an adversary with his mid-air jump-shoot technique, the archers rushed to the edge of the roof and jumped down into the alleyways to chase him.

Seeing a turn ahead, Tang Zheng immediately changed his strategy of escaping by jumping onto the roof. He sprinted wildly, arrows continuously shot towards him, zipping by his sides. This gave him a thrilling feeling, as if he was dancing with death. His adrenaline started pumping, rushing into his blood and through his body, enhancing his combat power.

"Here it comes." Listening to the whooshing sound of arrows shot with force towards him from behind, Tang Zheng suddenly lunged forward in a sliding move at the corner of the street.

Thud, thud, thud, arrows flew over Tang Zheng’s head and lodged into a wall not far out in front of him.

"Die." Tang Zheng twisted his body with one hand on the ground and his right foot pushing off the ground to change direction. The moment he entered the corner, he lifted his rifle and fired off a bullet.

Boom, over fifty archers were squeezed in the alley, allowing the armor-piercing high-explosive incendiary bullet to blast through three unlucky ghosts, scattering their bodies.

"Three birds with one stone?" Tang Zheng was amused, but he didn’t stop. He scattered dozens of remote control bombs behind him, his brain calculating the archers’ approach speed. As they rushed into the turn, Tang Zheng, without looking back, fired one shot and exploded two more archers.

"The strain on my muscles is too great!" He could faintly feel pain in his arms, waist, back, and ankles. He knew he had sprained his body.

"But I must keep going." Tang Zheng was worried that if he jumped onto the roof, the Punishment Squad would follow suit. He waited for all of them to rush into the bomb range before leaping up and pressing the detonator.

Whoosh, an arrow pierced through the air and hit Tang Zheng’s back. That was the archery team leader’s attack; otherwise, it wouldn’t have gotten through the Firefly’s defense.

The fate of over fifty archers had come to an end. The explosions resounded, and the ensuing flames were like a wrathful dragon, swallowing the entire alley, not even leaving a ripple from the archers.

However, they hadn’t been completely wiped out. The archery team leader’s reaction was too swift. Seeing Tang Zheng leaping onto the roof, he followed suit and escaped disaster. However, a few other archers who reacted quickly succeeded in jumping up but were late by a step to get on the roof. They were first swallowed by the flames and then sent flying by the explosion wave. By the time they fell on the roof, they had turned into charred chunk.

"Damn it, you can’t plan for everything." The pain of being shot made Tang Zheng grit his teeth. He had calculated that the explosion wave would throw off the archers’ aim, but he didn’t factor in that there would be a monster of a team leader in the group. Nevertheless, the team leader was still unsettled by the shockwave.

Tang Zheng would never miss such an opportunity. He immediately turned around and fired, blowing up the team leader’s head.

"Not dead yet?" Tang Zheng spat out. He felt the arrow’s position on his back where he couldn’t reach. He didn’t bother with it and went to find his teammates.

Dantai and the others who were preparing to support Tang Zheng were completely stunned. They all stood still, with dropped jaws, watching him. In just over twenty seconds, he managed to kill over sixty archers. Isn’t he too ferocious?

Chu Baichuan was also stunned looking at Tang Zheng, feeling overwhelming envy. He wanted to be that powerful too so he could better protect his wife.

"Impressive!" Dantai had nothing to say and gave him a thumbs up. He knew he couldn’t do that.

"Just luck." Tang Zheng was very humble. Then he glanced at the battlefield, the only combat remaining was at Xu Biyun and Lu Fan’s location. They were the only remaining two giant zombies. They were firing in the sky and six dark-red fire lines could be seen.

"Those spearmen with shields were teleported." Qin Yan ran over and reported. Then she shot a pointed look at Tang Zheng, "Could you be any crazier? Don’t take such risks next time. Let’s work together!"

"I just killed them during the process of running away." Tang Zheng also didn’t expect it to go so smoothly. He just wanted to kill as many as possible. But he wouldn’t dare be so desperate in the future. It’s too hard on the body.
