Chapter 516: Chapter 54 Death Battle and Return

Two more Burrowing Beasts emerged from the ground, swinging their skulls and spewing a large amount of foul-smelling green fluid from their ferocious jaws. It corroded some of the corpses upon contact, then they moved their worm-like bodies onto the road as if they were steamrollers.

An ample number of beastman guards and mad female orcs darted out. Fortunately, most of them chased after the aircraft carrier, trying to break through. However, those left couldn’t be underestimated as they started shooting at Tang Zheng and the others who were engaged in combat.

Pang Meiqin hastily crawled beside a pile of corpses, trying to play dead, but to no avail. Two beastmen charged at her, and she struggled to fend them off.

The barrage from the beastmen provided unintentional cover for Dantai. His two opponents were shot into a sieve, while the others who had entered the explosive seed state remained unscathed. Their physical qualities had escalated over forty-fold, not only making them very strong but also speeding up their neural response, enabling them to avoid gunfire without any issue.

Dantai glanced at the situation and decided to help Qin Yan. Qin Yan had excellent defensive abilities but her attacks were somewhat weak. However, facing the man from India was not an issue for her, as they were evenly matched. But Dantai knew her position in Tang Zheng’s heart, so he gave up on Chu Baichuan.

As humans, they couldn’t possibly not have selfish motives. Dantai wanted to build a good relationship with Tang Zheng too. Without Ai Yixin’s advice, Chu Baichuan, who could only solve problems with brute force, was bound to be at a disadvantage.

The Indian female Conqueror, who attacked Tang Zheng with the Brazilian war dance and had a speck of bloody crimson in the middle of her forehead, abruptly retracted all her clones. Then, she released six of them at once, completely ensnaring Tang Zheng in a shadow of fists and kicks.

Thump, thump, thump. The sounds of physical impacts kept ringing out, and the air was torn apart from the quick movements, making a whooshing noise.

"Die." Tang Zheng threw a powerful punch, landing it on a clone’s chest, snapping her breastbone and sending her flying backward.

Boom. Five seconds later, a heavy punch landed on the second clone’s head, snapping its neck and killing it instantly. Another five seconds, and the third clone was sliced in half by the Dragon Bone Curved Knife.

Tang Zheng retracted his most powerful weapon, Xuedi Maru, into his wristwatch, preparing to kill at the right moment. At this level, all combat techniques were useless, and everything became a battle of strength and swiftness. Although the Brazilian war dance was excellent, the fists flung by Tang Zheng could destabilize the clones, forcing them to retreat continuously. This was the ultimate manifestation of overcoming ten with one stroke.

A mad female orc roared and charged up. It ended up with Tang Zheng’s whip kick on its thigh, knocking it down. Then came a flying rear kick, which sent it flying. Even the less intelligent beastmen were taken aback. Could this guy be a beastman wearing human skin?

The female Conqueror’s face changed drastically. She knew well how powerful a Level 2 Explosive Seed person could be, but seeing that Tang Zheng was suppressing her without even using his Seed Ability, a chilling sense of dread reverberated within her body.

"Besides that useless woman, they’ve all exploded into Seeds." The Indian squad started considering retreating, but couldn’t bear it as the Teleportation Gate was just there. What if the teleportation ended after they left, wouldn’t they be trapped and die here?

The Trojan squad seemed to think the battle wasn’t cruel enough. They explained the objective of the round through the wristwatch voice. There were about ten possible objectives. First, kill the Orc Queen or General Lamb, and all survivors would return unscathed. Second, kill all of humanity’s top brass, then only one person could be teleported per day, and the location of the Teleportation Gate was unpredictable. It would only last one minute and disappear if the survivors didn’t find it in time.

So choosing the second option meant courting death. However, Tang Zheng and the others had completed the hidden objective, which was to annihilate the Vietnamese, Burmese, Thai, and Filipino Trojan Squads. As a result, the Teleportation Gate appeared near them, and they could use it every ten minutes.

The Indian squad had also faced the Filipino and Thai squads. However, compared to Tang Zheng’s victories, they were insignificant. Their presence here was entirely due to a member of their squad who could steal others’ memory using Seed Ability. The individual had copied the memory of a major general in advance in order to adapt in real-time. Had the beastmen not broken through the base, they would not have fled to the aircraft carrier and instead had planned to wait it out.

Able to breathe finally after struggling to kill two beastmen, Pang Meiqin looked at the Teleportation Gate, livid because it was still on cooldown.

The beastmen had suffered collateral damage. The survivors in explosive Seed states could finally flex their weapon’s full power, causing double the damage to them.

"Due to the team battle, the Teleport Gate has started to limit the number of slots for transfer. Only five left. Dear toys, please do fight hard," said a voice.

All felt a shock in their hearts, and an uncontrollable desire to kill spread across their eyes. Pang Meiqin was particularly ashen-faced. She was the weakest, and guessed that she probably didn’t even stand a chance to get near the Teleport Gate.

"Everyone, stay calm. There are exactly five of us. Let’s kill them all and return together." Tang Zheng roared sternly, reminding everyone not to be agitated, but to be steady and firm.

"Yes, let’s kill them." Thinking about the suffering his wife went through, Chu Baichuan’s overwhelming rage sought an outlet. He wished he could tear his opponents in front of him limb from limb. "Tang Zheng, I’ll help you protect Qin Yan."

Chu Baichuan also knew that he needed to show some compromise.

"Protect what? The beastmen are still rushing out, who can hold out for that long?" Frustrated, Pang Meiqin bellowed, "We need to end this quickly."

"Wait, can’t we negotiate a deal? Kill these worthless newbies and you can get five hundred points. We’ll just leave the five of us Conquerors, alright?" The female Conqueror wanted to throw Tang Zheng a flirtatious glance, but a punch landed on her forehead instead, and blood sprayed out.
