Chapter 482: Chapter 37 Collapse

Two torrents of steel hadn’t even collided yet when the fierce battle erupted, causing the sky to seemingly thunder down, with the deafening sounds of firing and a high-power engine shaking the entire earth. Some soldiers who hadn’t closed their mouths in time even bit their tongues.

Boom! The bombing continued, with tanks on both sides constantly being hit and turning into flaming fireballs, various steel parts falling like hail amidst the gunpowder smoke.

Compared with the Beast Clan’s poor tank technology, humans achieved a casualty ratio of 1:3. But this was far from pleasing for the observing generals, as they knew the Beast clan’s trump card hadn’t taken the field yet.

The mad female orcs indeed didn’t need to appear because the Iron Canned Head guard unit alone inflicted heavy damage on the tank army. These accompanying infantry hiding behind their tanks fired their shoulder-mounted rocket shells at the Forest Tanks the moment they stormed into range, immediately causing the loss of more than fifty tanks.

"What are you doing? Attack their guard team," the battalion commander’s roar echoed through the loudspeakers, again calling the heavy artillery troops, but to no avail.

Old soldiers shouted around, making the newbies within a four-meter range get lost. They then picked up their anti-tank missiles, climbed the trenches, locked onto their targets, and pulled the trigger.

Five hundred arm-thick missiles spewed white smoke, whistling into the Beast Clan’s defense line. Although the Beast Clan’s guards were agile, more than three hundred of them were wiped out under the onslaught of the radar-locked missiles. In an instant, the sound of explosions was incessant, the ’Iron Cans’ were all obliterated, their parts and human limbs falling from the sky.

The Beast Clan commander was not discouraged by this loss, deploying tanks and guards again, filling the battlefield with combatants to the limit.

Knowing against the limited human supplies, the Beast Clan had resolved to wage a war of attrition. They could breed as many soldiers as they wanted, with a growth cycle of only ten years, effectively giving them an endless number of troops. Of course, what the Beast Clan would eat or starvation after they eliminated humans was something the Orc Queen needed to worry about. Their immediate task was to exterminate the humans and become the only rulers of this land.

"Kill them all, make them into canned food and lunchboxes!" The Beast Clan shouted very practical slogans and rushed up again in a deluge.

For two full hours, the two torrents of steel were bombarding each other. Every time a Forest Tank was blown up, the soldiers’ faces became even grimmer. When only seven battered tanks were left in Morbid, their faces were filled with pessimism, while the battalion commander’s failed call for artillery fire also caused a swirl of anxiety.

The mobile troops carrying machine gunners and suicide bomber slaves rushed out of the camp again. Their tanks had also been exhausted, but they had the guard team, and even the uninjured mad female orcs.

When scarred, four-meter-tall, muscle-bound female orcs appeared on the horizon for the first time, the air on the whole human defense line seemed to freeze as if faced with death, and everyone’s face was filled with terror, even hesitant to breathe deeply.

The female orc looked savage, roaring with large tufts of white gas spraying from the mouth, as they steadily marched forward. Some young soldiers shot at them, but the bullets that could kill ordinary Beastman Soldiers had no effect on them.

"Why don’t they fire?" A newbie queried an old soldier not far away, pointing at the anti-tank missile in his hand.

"No use," the old soldier gave a wry smile. Seemingly to prove his point, a missile was launched, hitting the mad female orc. The severe explosion stirred a huge blast wave, but the wild orc still stood steadily, suffering no fatal hit.

The clothes on the mad female orcs, which were already in tatters, were now even more torn, and their few body hairs were on fire. But they didn’t care at all, roaring angrily and dashing towards the human line.

"Crap, that missile has angered it." The old soldier glanced backward reflexively and shouted, "Hammer of Dawn."

A Forest Tank rumbled out, charging forward with a do-or-die attitude. But the Berserk female orc didn’t slow down and collided straight with it. The 70-ton Forest Tank was incredibly halted in its tracks, even its front armor visibly dented.

The mad female orc gripped the head of the tank with both hands. Its arm strength exploded, flipping the Forest Tank onto its back.

The newbies audibly gasped while the old soldiers could only smile wryly and muttered the words "Hammer of Dawn".

The strength of these Berserk Female Orcs, specially modified by Yim Energy, was immense, evidenced by them easily bending the tank cannon into a twist. They were blind, but their hearing and smell were extraordinarily outstanding. After training, they would charge at any sound source, and their skin—even tougher than steel—allowed them to ignore heavy firepower. Only the orbital cannon Hammer of Dawn can kill them with inexpressible heat.

These Berserk Female Orcs were war machines created by the Beast Clan to fight against humans. When they appeared on the battlefield, they were unrivaled.

Tang Zheng shot an armor-piercing explosion, accurately hitting the furious female beastman’s head without inflicting any damage.

"Hurry, hurry." Unanticipatedly, a female beastman appeared in his area for the first time, driving the battalion commander almost insane. After reporting to his superior, the division commander didn’t hesitate to deploy three special forces squads equipped with laser designators. There was no time; they squatted outside more than ten trenches, locking onto the female beastman, directing the Hammer of Dawn mounted on the military satellite towards her.

Five seconds of silence were followed by beams of white light, one meter in diameter, descending from the sky without interruption, hitting the frenzied female beastman. The intense heat melted her skin, and the air around her distorted strangely.

"Close your eyes! Do you want to go blind?" Veterans shouted, holding their heads down, angry. Was that something you could see with your own eyes?

The Hammer of Dawn kept bombing, and the female beastmen got furious. They charged straight ahead because mad female beastmen also appeared on the frontline of the town, so the Hammer of Dawn had to allocate a portion to go there, so full fire cannot be opened here. Consequently, three of them successfully managed to get on the battlefront where they stirred up a bloody rain, chunks of flesh and fragmented viscera flying everywhere.

The defense line collapsed immediately. More than a dozen motorcycle riders finally rushed forward. Suicide bomber slaves swiftly jumped down and charged into the nearest soldier, triggering an explosion. Meanwhile, machine gunners wildly rotated their muzzles, killing soldiers still waiting in the trenches.

Because the trenches were just a straight passage, the beastman machine gunners didn’t need to aim; sweeping across in a straight line left a corridor of intertwining blood and flesh with no survivors.

Tang Zheng swiveled the heavy machine gun, shooting at those machine gunners. Some suicide bomber slaves targeted him and pounced, yelling, only to be shot and exploded immediately by him. Fireballs rose one after another, and the heat wave hit him directly. Without a steel helmet, his hair would have been singed.

Trained mad female beastmen instinctively targeted sounds like heavy machine guns and cannons. Thus, two of them, striding widely, charged wildly.

"Crap," Tang Zheng didn’t believe his skin was as tough as a tank. He abandoned the machine gun and quickly escaped sideways. However, the keen hearing of the female beastman allowed her to lock onto Tang Zheng.

After a glance at Qin Yan and others, Tang Zheng changed direction and bit off towards the command center behind the trenches. Nobody gave a crap about those played as cannon fodder. Only by killing the command center and these supervisory teams would there be a temporary chance of withdrawal. Who cares about the outcome of human warfare? That’s none of his business.

"Fall back, run towards the frontline." The company commander shouted loudly, hoping Tang Zheng would bugger off. The originally complacent rookies were scared out of their wits, and a dozen supervisory teams even fired at him, hoping to kill him so the mad female beastman would lose her chasing target.

Tang Zheng was frustrated. If it wasn’t because he was being watched, he would want to kill these bastards. However, he expected that the female beastman behind him would do this for him. When Tang Zheng, who was hit by five bullets, ran five meters in front of the supervisory teams, he suddenly sped up with a leap and flew past them. The supervisory team wanted to scatter, but it was too late.

The female beastman did the same, but her landing point was right on the bodies of those supervisory teams.

Three unlucky ones were instantly trampled into a meatloaf. The rest hadn’t run away yet and were grabbed by the female beastman with one hand. As she spun around like a giant windmill due to centrifugal force, it violently tore the soldiers’ bodies apart. Then, she threw the rotten meat in her hand, and the supervisory teams were annihilated.

"Block her for two minutes." The Hammer of Dawn also needed to recharge. So, for now, the mad female beastman was invincible on the battlefield.

Seeing that a dozen heavy machine guns in front were all aiming at him, Tang Zheng cursed silently, turned around and ran back. He picked up the Gauss sniper rifle, loaded the cannon beam bullets, pulled the bolt and then aimed at the female beastman.

Boom, a blue beam instantly shot out. The hot energy also made the surrounding air boil and twist. The female beastman was shot in the face, and it took three whole seconds for her head to explode. Looking at the headless corpse falling to the ground, humans froze, but shortly after they cheered. Only a few soldiers glanced at the rifle in Tang Zheng’s hand.

"The troubles in the future will only increase." Tang Zheng didn’t have time to worry about many things. After killing the other mad female beastman, he started running towards Lu Fan and the others.

The newcomers from the Trojan Room were not fools; they had no intention of accompanying the indigenous humans to their death. They gathered into a small group, hiding inside the dome fortress built by Lu Fan. As they didn’t take the initiative to attack, the beastmen couldn’t figure out what it was, so they ignored them.

"Qin Yan, come out, we have to run. The defense line has collapsed." Tang Zheng strapped the Gauss sniper rifle on his back and wielded a thunderstorm rifle, shooting at the beastman grenadiers. More and more motorcycles were being used to come up, ceaselessly. If they didn’t leave now, they were going to be surrounded and killed.
