Chapter 452 - 11: Facing the Newbie from Myanmar

Chapter 452: Chapter 11: Facing the Newbie from Myanmar

"Don’t kill me, I won’t say anything." The driver who once ridiculed Tang Zheng was now crying, begging him desperately. He wasn’t completely stupid; he knew Tang Zheng was the leader of the team.

"How do we dispose of the body after killing him?" Gao Wei also felt a headache. This guy had heard too many secrets. "And if a sudden gunshot sounds from the command vehicle, how can we explain that?"

"Gesang and his men’s corpses are still here." Tang Zheng pointed to the pile of corpses stacked behind the command vehicle, and nodded at Dantai. There’s someone willing to do the dirty work of murder, couldn’t be more appropriate.

The driver screamed as he saw Tang Zheng’s move in the rearview mirror. He wanted to fight back with desperation, only to feel the muzzle push his head backwards.

Dantai pulled the trigger, and with a ’pop’, more than half of the unfortunate man’s head flew off. Red and white fluids gushed out and splashed all over the windshield of the driver’s seat.

"Damn, it’s too bloody. Pang Meiqin will certainly complain later." Dantai casually returned his handgun to Tang Zheng’s holster, one hand controlling the steering wheel to keep the command vehicle from wavering.

"Damn, you could have waited for the armored vehicle to stop before firing." Gao Wei gasped, watching as the command vehicle nearly shot off the highway. His heart was about to jump out of his chest. He didn’t have time to complain about their random murder. He quickly grabbed the shoulder of the dead man, yanked him off the driver’s seat, and threw him to the back.

Dantai sat in the driver’s seat, one hand on the steering wheel, the other pulling off the fabric cover from the seat. He hummed a little tune as he wiped the blood off the glass window, "you guys handle the rest of the problems."

Tang Zheng shrugged, turned on the radio, "Announcing to the fleet, stop moving forward, rest in place."

Both sides of the highway were all highland wilderness, covered with low vegetation but nowhere to hide. Better to stay on the highway where it’s easier to run.

"Why stop? I order you to continue." Marcus’s furious roar echoed through the loudspeakers. Tang Zheng ignored him. After repeating his order, he turned off the radio.

Tang Zheng’s command also meant temporary safety for the fleet. Once the soldiers loosened their tense nerves, they felt the urge to pee and even hunger and thirst. The most crucial thing was that the drivers were exhausted and definitely needed some rest. With someone assuming responsibility, the fleet ignored Marcus’s roaring and stopped by the roadside.

"These undisciplined bastards." Marcus stomped his feet in anger, but the three Hummers had to slam on the brakes after speeding over fifty meters. The tires left black rubber marks on the highway.

As soon as the truck stopped, civilians in the carriages impatiently jumped down. Some even squatted by the roadside, continuously vomiting. Every carriage had corpses and dripping blood. It was no wonder these people didn’t want to stay any longer. However, there was more blood in the carriage where the Burmese were, and they were more disciplined. Only one person jumped down from the carriage and quickly ran towards the driver’s seat.

"Stop, what are you doing?" Tang Zheng, holding his rifle, quickly ran over. He did not hold any hope for the newcomers in there, seeing the situation, he knew they were killed.

All Tang Zheng could do now was try to use these Burmese to attract the attention of the local natives. Maybe even those soldiers had to be killed before making further plans.

"Killing Gesang was a mistake." Tang Zheng also felt he was too impulsive. It would’ve been so much better to just bear it at that moment. With this thought, he suddenly stood still, the rifle stock resting on his shoulder and a short burst of fire blew up the Burmese man’s head.

The guilty Burmese practically gave themselves away. Hearing Tang Zheng’s shout, several AK rifles stuck out and fired at him. Bullets hit the road surface, whistling as they flew.

The resting civilians heard the gunshots and immediately hugged their heads, fleeing wildly towards the wilderness on both sides of the highway. The soldiers took shelter next to the cars, on guard.

"Throw a hand grenade and finish them all." Lu Fan, wearing a steel helmet and holding a chainsaw gun, rushed up, hiding behind a Hummer. Beside him were Qin Yan and Xu Biyun, Liu Yue had taken a Barrett M82A1 and run below the roadbed to find a sniping position.

After a truck ride, Gao Yu and Tan Hui wore worried faces, thinking that Tang Zheng just loved to cause trouble. They didn’t help, just held their guns on guard while An Ping and his younger brother carefully ran over.

Chu Baichuan, gripping his rifle, looked at his pregnant wife, wanted to help, but also worried about her safety.

"Go, it’ll be fine." Ai Yixin took out her handgun. Although she didn’t know how to use it, it was at least some psychological comfort.

"Killing one of our own newcomers will cost a thousand points." Although Pang Meiqin was a split second late, she was the first to attack, holding a chainsaw gun and firing a long burst at the carriage.

The bullets hit the reinforced carriage with a clanging sound, causing the people inside to scream continuously.

"Everyone put your hands on your heads and come out." Pang Meiqin enjoyed the thrill of controlling everything. However, she forgot that Burmese people don’t understand Chinese, so a burst of gunfire replied to her.

The other party apparently thought of the possibility of hand grenades being thrown in the carriage, so their firepower instantly intensified. After suppressing Tang Zheng and the others, a man and a woman jumped down and ran desperately towards the driver’s compartment.

"Liu Yue, shoot." Tang Zheng was wearing Gesang’s helmet, which had a smart translator on it and could understand what these people were saying.

Liu Yue acted swiftly, directly using the anti-materiel sniper rifle to blow up the driver’s compartment. Seeing the twisted steering wheel, the two Burmese frantically notified their Conquerors that the hijacking plan had failed.

"If it were me, I’d shoot the people, not the driver’s compartment. It can be used as bait to deplete the Burmese’s forces." Gao Wei also ran over, "Spread out, are you waiting to get shot while clustered together?"

The soldiers didn’t understand why these civilians were having an armed conflict, but for safety, they all hid to the side, shouting a few words to cease fire, but took no substantive action. Marcus’s Hummer returned, its vehicle-mounted machine gun aimed at the Burmese and Tang Zheng’s truck.

"Everyone, cease fire." Marcus did not want to see humans slaughtering each other, but neither side paid him any attention. They had lost credibility in their previous escape, and now they only trusted the weapons in their hands.

"Captain, don’t bother, from their conversation, it seems like the guy on the truck has killed someone." Dom interrupted, for a person with a sense of justice, he hated bad guys.

"We are innocent." Someone shouted in Burmese. Then, hundreds of people in the carriage trailed out one by one. From their trembling bodies and panicked faces, it was clear they had been forced by the Conquerors. Of course, more than forty newcomers, who were already harboring malicious intentions, started shooting at Tang Zheng and the others hiding behind the Hummer as soon as they jumped out. Those who came from war-torn areas held their guns steadier than the newcomers from Tang Zheng’s side, who didn’t even dare to join the battle and were watching the scene from the side of the road.

Sun Bowen and Zhang Hongtao argued for a long time without making a decision.

"Drop your weapons, surrender and you will not be killed." True to his nature as a soldier, Gao Wei didn’t mince words.

"Civilians, get down!" The translator translated Tang Zheng’s words into Burmese. He was speaking to Marcus and the others, trying to prove that he’s a good person. As for the Burmese, after Pang Meiqin killed a few of them, they quickly smartened up. Apart from about twenty who were too scared and dropped to the ground covering their heads, the rest scattered and fled. The more crafty ones looked for shelters, while the dumb ones ran along the roadbed toward the wilderness. Some shooting newcomers were also mixed in with the crowd, fully using their compatriots as meat shields.

"Fire, there’s no risk of friendly fire." Pang Meiqin was shouting, deeply regretting that she didn’t have a machine gun. Tang Zheng, on the other hand, jumped onto the roof of the Hummer, grabbed the vehicle-mounted machine gun and indiscriminately opened fire.

Bullets whirled through the air, tearing through enemy bodies and leaving a carpet of blood and flesh in their wake.

Three men suddenly disappeared from the running crowd. The next moment, one appeared a hundred meters away, and the other two teleported next to the Hummer. They recognized that the young man was the leader and tried to kill him together.

Tang Zheng jumped off the Hummer, holding his curved knife and launching his attack.

One man hurled his right fist at Tang Zheng. A fire dragon suddenly rushed out of his fist surface and pounced on him, while another summoned a three-meter-high water elemental. The water elemental suddenly released a ring of ice, freezing everyone’s legs within a twenty-meter radius in place. He then picked up a Magnetic Storm Rifle and started wildly shooting at these immobilized targets.

Lu Fan’s Seed Ability was also activated. A Sand Barrier protruded from the ground, shielding her and Qin Yan. Xu Biyun summoned her pet and touched the back of the Hummer. The vehicle suddenly transformed into a humanoid steel monster and started attacking the Burmese with its fists.

Tang Zheng’s legs below the knees were all frozen by ice. He instantly released Gravity Suppression, and the fire dragon was instantly pressed to the ground. As soon as it touched the ground, it exploded, blasting a big pit, with debris and ice flakes flying everywhere. Naturally, its owner was also being pressed towards the ground, but he was still resisting. He slammed his fists on the ground, and two more, even larger fire dragons emerged.

Tang Zheng didn’t dodge, instead, he picked up the Dragon Bone curved knife and aimed for the guy’s head. As this guy was a Conqueror, the level of his protective clothing must not be low, so Tang Zheng chose his head as the target.

This guy managed to move his position under the impact of the gravity suppression, but his speed was slow. Tang Zheng changed from hacking to slicing, and eventually cut off half of his head. The blood gushed out like a fountain, and the two fire dragons hit Tang Zheng’s chest and blew him away.

Dantai made his move. His Seed Ability was probably psychic class. The guy who released the water elemental seemed to have suddenly been hit in the head, he appeared dazed and forgot to dodge the steel monster’s steel fist, ending up smashed into a meatloaf.

When Tang Zheng got up, Qin Yan and the others had already destroyed the water elemental. The Burmese newcomers were looking at them timidly, raising their hands to surrender. With the Conquerors dead, what was there for them to resist? Moreover, until this point, they were still confused about what happened in the Trojan Room.

"What do we do with these newcomers? Kill them all?"
