Tang Zheng ascended onto the second-floor balcony, observing Mu Nianqi.

"I have to go, we can chat later!"

Tang Zheng hung up the call, putting his phone into his pocket. Across from him, Mu Nianqi had already awoken in the bushes.

"That bastard Tang Zheng, he didn’t hold back." Mu Nianqi spotted herself lying within the bushes and cursed. However, her face soon revealed a puzzled expression, "Eh, he said that I would forget the misunderstandings, but I can clearly remember everything?"

"What exactly is that metal rod? Forget? Could it erase memories? Hmm, didn’t it work?" Mu Nianqi was quite quick-witted. She felt like she had seen that metal rod somewhere before. It only took her a few minutes to think of this possibility, but she didn’t show it. Instead, she put on a bewildered expression.

"Strange, why am I lying here?" Mu Nianqi deliberately talked to herself, suppressing her instinct to check her surroundings. She was afraid that Tang Zheng might be hiding, observing her. "The safest course of action now is to return home, then figure things out."

"If Tang Zheng believes that I’ve forgotten everything related to him, that could be my biggest advantage."

Watching Mu Nianqi’s series of performances, Tang Zheng assumed that the Memory Eraser had taken effect and thus gave up on monitoring her again, totally unaware that the device was ineffective on those who had been in the Trojan Room.

After checking the clock and seeing it was almost noon, Tang Zheng went into the kitchen to cook. During this time, Pang Meiqin called him, inviting him to hang out. She had already quit her job after exchanging for millions of gold coins. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to explain her constant disappearances. The Trojan would only help cover up the lies for newbies, and then it wouldn’t care. After all, it couldn’t be expected to babysit.

"Practice shooting? My neighbor has already protested many times, asking me to lower the game volume. It’s so annoying." Pang Meiqin also wanted to practice but there was simply no suitable place. "I found a martial arts hall, but even the master there can’t beat me."

Pang Meiqin grumbled for quite a while before suddenly lowering her voice. "Are you living in a dormitory? Or renting a place with another woman?"

"Renting a place." Tang Zheng replied coldly.

"Really? Have you fallen too?" Pang Meiqin was frustrated, but then she discreetly said, "It doesn’t matter, give me your QQ number. After she falls asleep, we can video chat. I promise to give you a dance like you’ve never seen before."

"I don’t have a QQ account." Tang Zheng decided to clarify. "Even though I live with a woman, it’s not what you’re thinking."

"Are you an alien or what? Never mind, we’ll chat later. The landlord’s son is being a nuisance again, expecting to see me in my stewardess outfit. I absolutely won’t let him get his way. By the way, I lost several pieces of underwear and silk stockings during the time I was gone. He must have taken the landlord’s key. Where’s your place? I want to rent a place nearby too!" Pang Meiqin said with a huff.

Even if one spends enough time with a cat, they grow attached to it. That was the idea Pang Meiqin was working off of. Just to get a chance with Tang Zheng, she had racked her brains.

"I’m sorry, let’s talk about this later." Tang Zheng refused as he was eager to extend his resting time.

"Alright, goodbye then." Pang Meiqin didn’t persist and hung up the phone with a gloomy face. She then took off one of her high-heeled shoes and threw it at the door, "Knock on that! I’m moving out right now."

After several dangerous games, Pang Meiqin’s mindset hadn’t changed much, but at least she was no longer a weak woman.

"Slut, what are you playing at? Looking at those revealing items of underwear, I know you’re no good. You must have seduced someone to become a stewardess, right?" The landlord’s son cursed from outside the door, with the audacity to continue knocking. He was a gangster, and he certainly wouldn’t be scared of a woman. Even if he couldn’t get his way today, he’d settle for just a little advantage.

"Screw you, you think I’m weak?" Pang Meiqin was innocent in this matter. She coldly snorted and quickly pulled out a military dagger from her waist, then opened the door.

The landlord’s son lit up as he saw Pang Meiqin emerge in her tight tank top, reaching out with his right hand. But in the next moment, she twisted his arm and grabbed his hair, throwing him against the wall.

"Damnit." The landlord’s son was dizzy and cursed but soon was too frightened to move as a military dagger reached his mouth. He could feel the coldness of the blade on his tongue.

"Speak again and I’ll cut your tongue off. Want to take advantage of me? Go to hell." Biting her teeth, Pang Meiqin pulled out the dagger and hastily stabbed it down.

The landlord’s son screamed in fear, closed his eyes, and wet himself.

The entire corridor heard this scream, with many people opening their doors to peek. A couple who happened to be passing by were so scared that they froze on the spot.

"Coward, you don’t even have this much courage and yet you’re trying to act like a gangster." Pang Meiqin pulled out the dagger that was stuck near the landlord’s son’s face and spat in his face. Just as she was about to return to her room, she saw that he actually stuck out his tongue to lick her spit off his face. This made her feel extremely disgusted.

Pang Meiqin backed off half a step, and her silk-stocking-covered foot in the high heels kicked the landlord’s son in the stomach. She then hastily closed the door and began to pack. She couldn’t stay here a moment longer.

"What a pleasant feeling." The landlord’s son lay on the ground, tears streaming down his face. He wished Pang Meiqin would kick him again.
