Chapter 438: Chapter 3: Capturing Mu Nianqi_2

After a moment of hesitation, Mu Nianqi brought along the Samurai Short Knife. When she returned, she had already asked the on-duty security guard, and An Xiuru’s car hadn’t returned yet.

The Jing Shan Villa District was very quiet, with few people wandering around usually. With a calm expression, Mu Nianqi walked up to An Xiuru’s front door and subconsciously scanned the ground and the position of the door handle, but discovered nothing unusual.

She took out the duplicated key and opened the door, walking in. Shoe rack, living room, she observed all suspicious places, almost instinctively.

"An extra pair of shoes? Perhaps it was here all along." Mu Nianqi wanted to leave, but given what the security guard had said, she thought the house was empty, and entered the room to replace the battery of the monitor, the task could be done in just three minutes.

One always sleeps soundly at home. If Tang Zheng hadn’t been receiving a call from Lu Fan, he would have had no idea someone had entered.

"Let’s continue later." If it was An Xiuru who had returned home, she should have already called Tang Zheng. But nothing happened, so he jumped off the bed, didn’t rashly open the bedroom door, instead, he just listened quietly.

"Is it a thief?" Hearing footsteps getting closer, Tang Zheng, nimble as a fox, slid under the bed.

The door indeed was opened. Through the slit at the bottom edge of the sheet, Tang Zheng could see a pair of red ladies’ boots coming in, no sound of rummaging through things, which made him somewhat doubtful.

"I wonder if a pretty thief should be given mob ’justice’?" Being strong and intimidating, Tang Zheng was still distracted despite the situation. He initially planned to observe the opponent before taking action, but he instantly regretted it when he realized his messy and warm blanket indicated that someone had been sleeping in the bed.

As expected, the thief noticed it too. Without any delay, she quickly ran towards the outside of the bedroom.

"Her observational skill isn’t bad." Tang Zheng pushed hard with his hands and feet and slid out from underneath the bed. Immediately following, with a leap, he gave chase. Barely stepping outside the room, there was no sign of thief in the whole living room. Instead, a brisk wind blew from behind him.

"Bold." Tang Zheng growled angrily, and his upper body ducked, at the same time, his waist twisted, and his left leg whirled around like a whip/g:

Just from the fact that the thief had calmly set up an ambush, Tang Zheng knew that the character was smart. If he kept dodging, he might be knocked out by her, so he decided to take a hit and then retaliate, at least get a look at what the opponent looked like before deciding next step.

Thump, Tang Zheng’s left leg was forcefully blocked by Mu Nianqi’s armature. After that, she grabbed his pants leg and tried to disturb his balance of gravity. At the same time, one of her thigh-high ladies’ boots was already kicking towards his head.

Tang Zheng dodged by shaking his head to one side, his eyes stinging with the gust of wind brought by the boot. If he had received this kick, he would have definitely suffered a concussion.

"Do thieves nowadays have these kinds of skills?" Because of dodging that kick, Tang Zheng didn’t have a chance to observe behind him. Besides, he still had some complacency and was holding back. After all, dealing with ordinary people, - who would take responsibility if they were hit to death? So he just used 30% of his strength, and he didn’t expect to be at a disadvantage.

"It’s Tang Zheng?" Mu Nianqi cursed her bad luck, using a more fierce combat technique to attack. She didn’t want to reveal any loopholes, but as soon as she started, she regretted because what if she accidentally killed Tang Zheng? Unexpectedly that guy managed to dodge it.

Mu Nianqi quickly retracted her leg, kneeing up to hit Tang Zheng in the stomach, and her right elbow dropped to strike his waist. A series of attacks followed, her left hand still holding onto his pants leg, leaving him no chance of escape.

Tang Zheng clenched his right hand into a fist and punched towards Mu Nianqi’s knee. During the thudding collision, a ripping sound was heard, and Tang Zheng’s pants were torn, then the two were separated.

Mu Nianqi reacted quickly, unsheathing her Samurai Short Knife with a whooshing sound and swiping towards Tang Zheng’s thighs. She didn’t intend to kill him, only planning to force him into making a mistake, and then knock him out with the back of the knife.

Upon hearing the sound of a blade being unsheathed, Tang Zheng’s scalp felt prickly with fear. He now did not consider the person a thief; their skill was too good, even exceeding that of a professional soldier with expert combat skills.

Tang Zheng calmed down. Hearing the wind-breaking sound come from his right side, he placed his left hand on the ground and rolled to his left. Simultaneously, he bent his right leg and reached under his right arm to unsheath the Straight Knife from its sheath. He didn’t dare to take weapons from the Space Wristwatch rashly, as he was unsure of the other’s identity.

Mu Nianqi realized she had miscalculated, despite a full-blown attack, she wasn’t able to land a single hit on Tang Zheng. This made her quite upset, but a second later, he finally saw her face.

"Is it you?" Tang Zheng held his straight knife, his face showing surprise. Of course, he wouldn’t forget this woman who mistakenly sent him some risqué cosplay photos. Reminded of those World War II uniform photos, he frowned, "Who taught you your combat skills?"

"None of your business?" Mu Nianqi gritted her teeth and continued her fierce attack. The urgent thing was to knock Tang Zheng out completely. If he could get amnesia, it would be even better.

Clang, the samurai sword struck the straight knife, sparking brilliant sparks. After a few exchanges, Tang Zheng realized that Mu Nianqi’s combat skills were excellent. Her only weakness was lack of strength, so he used brute force to dominate her.

"Will you let me go?" Thirty seconds later, Mu Nianqi was pinned to the ground by Tang Zheng. Both hands were twisted backwards, her shoulders aching as if dislocated.

"I suppose I don’t have to be polite to a thief?" Tang Zheng took out a parachute cord, tied Mu Nianqi’s hands together, then her feet, and then pulled upwards, forcing her legs to fold backwards into a C-shape.

With a thud, Mu Nianqi, released by Tang Zheng, fell to the ground. Because of the way she was tied up, her chest was particularly prominent.

"Where are you looking?" Mu Nianqi felt humiliated. This posture was too embarrassing. Having been pampered from a young age, she had never been treated like this.

"Ha, it seems I didn’t tie you tight enough?" Tang Zheng sat back on the sofa, saying, "Can you talk now? What are you doing at my house?"

"Isn’t this An Xiuru’s house?" Mu Nianqi had calmed down somewhat, her mind racing, thinking of ways to escape.

"Changing the subject? Right, I should take a snapshot of you and send it to the newspapers. A beauty caught red-handed while breaking and entering. This could be big news." The threat in Tang Zheng’s words was obvious. Mu Nianqi understood it, but was disdainful.

"Hehe, any newspaper daring to print that? Be careful I won’t accuse you of kidnapping a girl. Let me go now." Mu Nianqi squirmed, her body numb from the tight binds. It was very uncomfortable.

"I seem to have forgotten to search you." Tang Zheng remained smiling, knelt down next to Mu Nianqi, and was about to search her pockets.

"I’ll speak." Mu Nianqi didn’t want to reveal the secret of the surveillance equipment. But just as she started speaking, she saw his face change. Without hesitation, he thrust his hand into her pocket. She silently cursed herself for being careless. Her eagerness had just signaled that there was something secret in her pocket.

Through her pocket, Tang Zheng could feel Mu Nianqi’s body heat. But looking at the batteries, he fell into deep thought.

"You vulgar man, let me go now." Mu Nianqi struggled. Because of the way she was lying, her chest was squeezed by the floor into an enticing shape. But she didn’t care. She wanted to break Tang Zheng’s train of thought.

"You didn’t install cameras in my house, did you?" Tang Zheng had never seen such items, but it didn’t prevent him from guessing.

Mu Nianqi remained calm, not revealing a hint of her secrets on her face.

"This can’t go on like this, let’s have an open and honest talk." Tang Zheng was annoyed. He didn’t have the heart to kill or silence her, and if he sent her to the police station, given the power of Mu Nianqi’s family, they might release her as soon as she entered. It seemed that he would have to extract the information and then use the memory eraser.

"What have you been up to since you dropped out of school?" Mu Nianqi’s dominant personality made her keen on launching attacks.

"If I told you, I’d die, that’s all I can tell you." Tang Zheng was too lazy to make up lies, he asked, "And you? There has to be a reason for you spying on me?"

"Because of the photos." Mu Nianqi was cautious; she didn’t want to reveal those secrets.

"That’s insincere. Will you force me to torture you?" Tang Zheng really didn’t know where to start with this kind of woman, making him even want to learn interrogation techniques.

"I always feel as if I’ve forgotten something. Observing you might jog my memory." As she said this, Mu Nianqi kept her eyes fixed on Tang Zheng, waiting for his response.
