Chapter 424: Chapter 42: Strengthening Potion and Chaotic Battle_2

"Wow, big brother is really cool." An Ning, who always had a runny nose, seemed to never know what worry was. She happily looked at Tang Zheng’s wristwatch and asked, "Are you Iron Man?"

"An Ping, help me clean up the battlefield," Tang Zheng said, patting An Ning’s head. He didn’t answer her question but walked towards the injured people.

"In the Wasteland, robberies like this are all too common," Gao Wei said as he helped the bandaged Little Pavel walk over. The sadness on Little Pavel’s face was unspeakable.

"In less than a day, almost 140 people have died. It’s too cruel," Gao Yu chimed in, trying to sound empathetic. He wanted to ask Tang Zheng for some supplies but didn’t know how to broach the topic.

"None of the injuries are severe. Everyone will live."

Apart from Tang Zheng and Gao Wei, none of the others cared about these inspection results. Gao Yu grew impatient and said, "Can we just hurry up and sell the supplies and head back? Trojan can heal any injury."

Gao Yu reached for the handgun at his waist, considering killing Little Pavel.

"You guys go ahead. I want to take out Gathering Point 10," Tang Zheng said. At first, the attack had left him reluctant, but after being ambushed, he hardened his resolve.

"Are you crazy? There are at least fifty or sixty thousand wastelanders there, plus the Council’s elite soldiers. Even if you’re in your Hellfire Armor, it won’t make a difference," Liu Yue cried out. She didn’t want Tang Zheng taking this risk. "What’s the point of revenge? Just live and return home."

"Enough. I’ve made up my mind," Tang Zheng responded, not mentioning that he planned to loot the place as well. He was resolved to destroy some of Moscow’s Gathering Points one way or another.

"How have the past few days been for all of you?" Gao Wei asked, patting An Ping’s shoulder. He respected the young man’s resilience.

"Not bad. I made 300 bottle caps, but bullets burn fast. The ones we bought from the black market were much more expensive than the ones big brother Tang gave us," An Ping responded. Already a largely stoic individual, that last week had only made him even more hardy. His shoulder and side were wrapped in bandages; he had clearly been wounded.

"You both should have gotten 200 base points by now. I’ll give you 20,000 bottle caps. Let’s head back together." The reminder from earlier was definitely worth this price.

Gao Yu snorted in disgust. He felt that the young man had made a fortune. Li Meilian and the others were not pleased either. They had been struggling on the edge of life and death, not even sure if Tang Zheng would give them ten thousand bottle caps, while this young man had found a way to play the system.

"Little Pavel, do you have any connections at Gathering Point 10? I want to sell supplies there," Tang Zheng said, pulling out a bottle of mineral water and taking a swig. Seeing An Ning licking her chapped lips, he handed it to her. "Do you know anyone from the Freedom Group? I want to discuss a business deal with them."

For the next five days, Tang Zheng was busy selling supplies. Selling firearms and ammunition required waiting for bigger customers, but the worm-infested flour and canned food that had been stored for decades were top quality for the wasteland people and none of them rejected it.

Tang Zheng took over an abandoned supermarket outside Gathering Point 10. After cleaning it up, he put the supplies on display and hired 200 juvenile guards for duty.

This supermarket, named Katyusha, was probably the first officially registered and operating supermarket in the Wasteland World. Hence, the wastelanders flocked to it. Within a short period, the entrance was trampled down and eventually, Tang Zheng couldn’t be bothered to fix it.

Bang, bang. The juvenile soldiers were hitting someone with their gun butts again. Two thieves lay on the ground, protecting their heads and wailing. Next to them were scattered cans of food. After three minutes of assault, the juvenile soldiers dragged the bloodied thieves to the cashier to report to Little Lolita.

"Drag them out, hang them to death, then put them up on a pole to dry and intimidate others," Gao Yu said from the side while smoking. He glanced at the thieves and then spat out these bloody words. Gao Yu had become obsessed with playing judge over the last few days, deciding the fate of others with a single word.

The juvenile guard looked to Lu Fan for confirmation. Even the slightest delay resulted in Gao Yu throwing a hot cup of coffee at him. The juvenile soldier didn’t dare to move; he didn’t want to lose his job.

"What the hell are you doing? Uncle asked you to guard the supermarket, not to cause trouble," Lu Fan yelled at Gao Yu, unhappy. She gestured for the soldier to follow Gao Yu’s order.

There were quite a few ruthless people in the group, but no one loved a bloody killing spree as much as Gao Yu did. Thus, assigning him to watch the store was a great deterrent to thieves.

But Gao Yu didn’t argue back, he wasn’t stupid enough to offend the loli cherished by everyone.

"Hold on. Take these cans," Lu Fan said to the soldier who had been hit. She threw a couple of cans over to him.

Seeing this, the customers in the supermarket not only found Lu Fan friendly but also lost any intention of theft.

The leader of an armed group, backed by a large number of armed subordinates, was standing in front of a warehouse in the suburbs, negotiating with Tang Zheng. After much bargaining, a deal was reached. But as soon as Tang Zheng opened the warehouse and revealed the firearms inside, they changed their tune.

When these armaments saw that Tang Zheng had suddenly donned his Power Armor, their faces turned as pale as death. The pleas for mercy died in their throats; Tang Zheng killed them on the spot.

The gunshots were soft. The An brothers emerged from their hiding place, expertly moving bodies and clearing away the spoils of war. Over the past few days, they had gotten used to the task.

"Another group of fools," Tang Zheng said. If they wanted to trade in good faith, he was more than willing. If they wanted to rob him, even better.
