Tang Zheng and Qin Yan paid no mind to all these speeches. Instead, they shared an understanding as they continued to move forward. After all, they didn’t worry about ammunition consumption. The Wastelanders wanted to leave but lacked the strength to do so. They figured that once they were away from Tang Zheng, they’d be killed within ten minutes.

Ao, a roar echoed in the corridor, followed by boom, boom, mighty footstep sounds.

"Ah, we finally run into a big one, it probably weighs at least six or seven hundred pounds," Lu Fan quickly retreated after shining a light on it. There were six enormous ghouls, each over three meters tall, attacking.

Their skin was as durable as steel; bullets could only splash sparks off them. Tang Zheng took out a Thunderstorm rifle and began to cause some damage to them. However, he barely scraped off a chunk of their skin and it didn’t affect their actions at all.

"It’s the Ghoul Leader." Old Pavel’s face turned pale from fear and he yelled, "Run, even an 88 mm cannon can’t hurt them."

"Get back!" Tang Zheng was excited, he rushed towards them. Just before the collision, he armed himself with Hellfire and smashed it with a heavy punch.

Bang, the Ghoul Leader at the front rolled back, caught by one behind it. Just as it was about to charge again, a dazzling Impact Beam came flying towards it.

The high temperature burned the ghoul’s skin, spreading a burnt smell like roasted meat in the air. Tang Zheng lunged forward, pulled out an S-grade Dragon Bone Curved Blade, and slashed it on the Ghoul’s head. Luckily, the ’Behead’ effect triggered, and a skull as big as a washbasin immediately rolled onto the floor.

Tang Zheng continued to rush. Behind him, a large amount of blood gushed from the Ghoul leader’s decapitated neck and sprayed onto the ceiling, scattering like a fountain.

Bang, the Ghoul hit Tang Zheng, knocking him over on his back before pouncing at him and trying to crush him with its body weight.

"Idiot." Tang Zheng diagonally stuck the Dragon Bone Curved Blade, and without exerting force, the Ghoul hit itself against it, getting punctured right through.

Tang Zheng twisted the knife handle, stirred forcefully, and the Ghoul Leader immediately screamed. It slapped his head, bang, smashing Tang Zheng’s head into the ground.

The group of people hiding behind had their eyes bulging out of fear. Only Tang Zheng could handle this; anyone else would have been killed.

"Lights out." Afraid of Tang Zheng’s secret being revealed, Lu Fan quickly waved to turn off the Tactical Flashlights.

Tang Zheng stepped on the Ghoul’s stomach and kicked it away. The others who wanted to rush up were immediately knocked over.

Tang Zheng turned off the powerful light beam in his eyes. He could still see the enemies’ every move with his night vision equipment anyway. He then took out the Dual-Wielding Butcher, transformed into a dual-wielding warrior, and rushed to engage in melee combat.

In a short time, the entire corridor was filled with the sounds of blades slicing through flesh, ghouls howling, heavy panting, and the hissing sound of blood spraying. Combined with the endless darkness, it made the surviving humans feel extremely terrified.

Glass shattered and fists collided with raw fists; the thudding noises didn’t stop for a full minute.

"Follow me, I’m going ahead," Tang Zheng didn’t want to waste points. He left the group behind, turned on the accelerator and dashed off to hunt as many Ghoul Leaders as he could in the shortest amount of time.

"Wait, come back," Li Meilian and Tan Hui shouted.

"This madman, without him here, we would only have one way to go if we encounter this level of monster - death." Gao Yu was frustrated. He certainly didn’t have the guts to fight these monsters physically.

"What’s he trying to do?" Dantai shone his flashlight on these corpses; their heads had all been cut off.

The sounds of battle kept coming from the front. The group was scared, but they had to keep up because they were more terrified of being alone. Lu Fan and Qin Yan followed closely behind.

Another five minutes passed. The chase in the dark almost broke the survivors. The continuous appearance of dead Ghoul Leaders made them even more worried. Everyone was exceedingly cautious, wishing they had several pairs of eyes.

In a large room, they finally saw Tang Zheng stop. Just when they wanted to ask him a question, they saw him withdraw with a serious face.

"What happened?" Li Meilian asked in confusion. Just as she finished the question, a huge inhalation sound suddenly echoed in the room, as if intending to suck all the air out of it.

"Oh my God," Liu Qian shouted out, giving everyone a start. The whole office was filled with densely packed cocoons of flesh each about half the size of an adult. When the flashlight shone on them, one could see a curled-up fetus through the thin flesh wall.

"What is this? A ghoul breeding room?" Tan Hui’s voice trembled, she even bit her jaw. Not only her, but everyone’s face also turned pale. The sight here was too disgusting. Meat strips which looked like umbilical cords extended out from those flesh cocoons. The ends of these meat strips were rammed into the dead bodies piled up in the corner. There were radiation scorpions, rats, humans, and they all seemed to have been hunted recently.

"Is that Liu Heng?" Tan Hui suddenly shouted out, startling everyone. Following the beam from his flashlight, they indeed saw the teenager still carrying an 03-style assault rifle among the corpses.

The female models were grateful they didn’t leave; otherwise, they would have ended up like him.

Gao Yu, in his fury, started to shoot, breaking several flesh cocoons. The pressure inside caused the flesh walls to burst rapidly, and green sticky fluid flowed out. A foul smell immediately filled the room. As they saw the twitching Ghoul fetuses, the female models couldn’t hold it any longer and started vomiting.

"What are you doing?" Li Meilian got scared. "You killed their children. What if you provoked them?"

"Get out of here quickly," Tang Zheng threw a bundle of TNT explosives inside before leaving the room. No wonder ghouls would stop them at any cost, any species would fight to death for the survival of their offspring.

Just as they evacuated the corridor, they heard angry roars from behind. Evidently, quite a number of Ghoul Leaders had gathered.

Tang Zheng gave up on detonating the explosive after visualizing the route they took earlier and considering the probability of the collapsed floors blocking their escape route.
