"If half of it can be used, then we’ve struck gold." Old Pavel tore up boxes with a grin on his face. The room was roughly the size of a basketball court. Even if only 30% of the ammunition was good to go, it would still be quite a haul.

The young soldiers couldn’t wait to ditch their worn-out rifles and rummage through ammo boxes. After swapping their bird guns for real weapons, excitement was written on everyone’s face.

"How are you all going to fight, lugging around so many weapons?" Dantai Zongqi raised an eyebrow, these people were used to being poor and suddenly getting rich made them frenzied. "The people from the refuge must have used it up." Tang Zheng replied with a straight face. Some of the supplies in the warehouses were seen by them. Otherwise, he would have exterminated them, not leaving a single hair.

"Really annoying." The young soldier grumbled and left. When he reported back, the other wasteland dwellers displayed similar attitudes. The entire warehouse quickly filled with curses.

Upon hearing this, people lost interest in further exploration. They reported to Tang Zheng and prepared to evacuate. After all, these gains would be enough for them to live comfortably for over a decade. Further search would be a high-risk low-return endeavor.

Tang Zheng also agreed to leave. But they had just packed their stuff when seven ghouls rushed in, creating a panic in the warehouse. Everyone was startled and immediately launched counterattacks.

Tang Zheng pulled out a glow stick, cracked it, and a soft light immediately came on. He threw it with all his might.

"Radiation Scorpions." Yin Shangwu had the best eyesight and spotted the radiation scorpions immediately. Although their size was only that of an ordinary hunting dog, there were too many of them. They clustered densely, like a tide, pouring towards the warehouse. That rustling sound was from their crawling.

The glowsticks were immediately obscured as they crawled past.

"Old Gao, load the bullets." Tang Zheng picked up a 12.7mm heavy machine gun, aimed it at the gate, checked the bullet chain, and then pulled the breechblock.
