Chapter 340: Chapter 34: Raptor Mount
The aboriginal indeed lunged forward in an aggressive assault as Tang Zheng had predicted, giving him no time to breathe. The boomerang came back again along its set path. Thus, just as Tang Zheng reached out to catch it, he fired off three consecutive shots.
The aboriginal’s combat instincts were good. From the first shot, it kept an eye on the long-range weapon in Tang Zheng’s left hand that sprayed bullets. Its caution paid off at this moment. It twisted its body in time to dodge, simultaneously shooting out the boomerang aiming to chop off his left hand. However, in the next moment, it heard the breaking wind sound of an arrow, swiftly followed by a severe pain originating from its left waist side.
In Tang Zheng’s right hand was his crossbow, a triumphant smile on his face. He noticed early on how the aboriginal was continuously wary of the M1911 in his left hand. And so, he hadn’t fired a single shot. He wanted to divert its attention. Those three shots just now were not intended to kill. It was only to force the aboriginal within the crossbow’s firing range, and sure enough, it fell for the trap.
"Die!" Tang Zheng roared, instead of retreating, he dodged the boomerang, fired two more shots with his left hand, hitting the aboriginal’s knee, simultaneously kicking its chest.
A crisp ’crack’ was heard, the sound of a rib fracture. The aboriginal was sent flying and crashed into the wall, inevitably feeling a wave of dizziness.
Tang Zheng couldn’t waste the opportunity to obtain the spoils of war and quickly leaped from the counter. At the same time, he fired another shot at the aboriginal, who had fallen into mid-air, instantly shooting its head into a mess akin to a rotten watermelon.
Two other aboriginals nearby, hearing the commotion, hurriedly rushed over.
"Here, have a taste of this bomb." Tang Zheng retrieved the crossbow and casually took out a remote-control bomb throwing it into the counter. After witnessing the aboriginal’s powerful melee skills, he wasn’t interested in a face-off. And, regarding his Seed Ability, he didn’t want to waste it in a place like this given its irritating five-minute time limit.
One of the aboriginals glanced inside the counter as it ran past. It was quickly able to confirm that its companion was dead and didn’t go inside for a closer look. This made Tang Zheng sigh inwardly, unable to cause the death of two with just one explosion. So, he decisively pressed the detonator.
Boom! An orange-red flame from the explosion immediately surged from the counter like a tidal wave, instantly engulfing another aboriginal who happened to be passing by. It was so unlucky that before it could even scream, it was blown to pieces by the explosion.
"Three more to deal with." Tang Zheng returned, along the way. There were two more remote-control bombs placed at different locations where he could lure the aboriginals. He found this tool particularly useful. Sure, it couldn’t blow up the thick-skinned Tyrannosaurus, but it was enough to deal with these aboriginals.
"Of course, the pretext is not letting them notice it." Tang Zheng knew that throwing a grenade wouldn’t work. Given the extraordinary explosive power of the aboriginals, they could instantly evade it. He had to use TNT explosives.
After ten seconds, another loud explosion was heard. Amidst the splatter of glass shards, an unfortunate aboriginal was blown into two halves, tossed far away by the shockwave. The head of its burning braid and the stench of the upper half of its charred body was a ghastly sight to behold.
"Hey, I’m over here." Standing midway in the elevator to the sixth floor, Tang Zheng shouted loudly, hoping to draw the two remaining aboriginals down. But instead, several arrows came flying first.
Taking out an AK74, Tang Zheng retaliated with suppressive shots towards the aboriginal running upfront. He needed to slow it down to keep it synonymous with its companion, so that they could be blown to bits simultaneously.
Immediately, bullets flew in all directions. Ordinary people would’ve immediately sought shelter, but the aboriginals simply slowed down slightly, fiercely shooting arrows back undeterred, trying to regain their advantage over Tang Zheng.
Tang Zheng pretended to panic and retreated from the elevator, successfully dodging the arrows without giving any hint that he was leaving the explosion range.
The two aboriginals failed to notice anything amiss and continued to chase him. It was slightly regrettable, however, that a five-meter gap had formed between the two.
"I can’t wait any longer." Several plans flashed through Tang Zheng’s mind. He quickly looked at their positions, confirmed that when the aboriginal in the back would be blown up, the one in the front would have just barely left the blast radius, and pressed the detonator instantly.
Boom! The intense explosion immediately engulfed the figure of the aboriginal in the back. Cement fragments flew everywhere, and while the one in front was not blown up, it was flung into mid-air by the shockwave, losing its balance.
"Perfect chance." Tang Zheng was waiting for this moment. He quickly adjusted the muzzle, firing two single shots.
The airborne aboriginal was utterly helpless to avoid, only able to watch the bullet fly towards its forehead.
Bang, bang, The first shot shattered half of the aboriginal’s head, and the second bullet that followed obliterated the remaining half.
Ordinary, The aboriginal crashed to the ground and slid far away on the smooth floor. The gushing blood from its decapitated neck even drew a streak of blood.
Tang Zheng quickly fired off a few more rounds, then ejected the drum magazine and replaced it with a new one, before he took a long breath and confidently stepped into the elevator with his rifle.
"Enemies who aren’t afraid are truly terrifying." Reflecting on the recently defeated aboriginals, Tang Zheng thought back to the lack of fear or panic in their faces as they faced death. Rather, they intended to perish together with him. This made him quite uncomfortable. The most challenging opponent was a madman because logically predicting their actions was impossible.
The seventh-floor floor had an explosion-created pit that was over two meters wide. The charred corpse of the aboriginal lay not far beside it. Tang Zheng took a look below, then leaped across. Jumping three meters without a running start was easy for him.
