Chapter 338: Chapter 32: The Ferocious Dragonbone Aboriginal

A squad of ten cavalrymen rode up from a street nearly a hundred meters away into the main road, entering Tang Zheng and others’ line of sight. They were not moving quickly, apparently out on patrol.

"Indian Natives? Humans exist in the Cretaceous Period?" Jenny’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. This sight was too unusual.

The Natives in front of her were generally close to two meters tall, with robust bodies and long arms and legs. Their arm span even reached half their body length. Their skin was a kind of clay-red color, and due to not bathing for many years, it was covered with soil and dust, looking very dirty.

The Natives were not wearing clothes, exposing large patches of skin. They had only short skirts made of animal hides and feathers around their waists. If they weren’t bald, they had their hair divided into many small braids. Either way, they were adorned with feathers, and they also wore necklaces made of bones.

"There’s even a city here, how could they possibly not have people? You should be asking, why are there Natives?" Kailin jokingly remarked in a low voice. She and Jenny had become good friends after shopping together.

"The Natives are riding dinosaurs, that’s the crucial thing." Jenny looked at the huge dinosaurs there. The three-meter tall creatures obviously belonged to the Dromaeosauridae family, excelling at running and hunting. It’s unknown how the Natives managed to tame them. Each dinosaur mount was equipped with a leather saddle and bridle, and seemed even more obedient than trained warhorses.

"What kind of dinosaurs are those? I want to capture one to use as mount." Lu Fan dared not to use his electronic stick to scan, afraid of being discovered by the Natives. If they brought a dinosaur into Auntie’s riding club, it would definitely cause a sensation. But, most likely, the first ones to fall victim would be the racehorses that are eaten as food, and the breeder definitely won’t be able to get away either.

Children’s thoughts were always wild; Tang Zheng took out his telescope and was most concerned about their combat abilities. Around their waists, they had sharp long-handled bone blades like machetes, obviously made from huge dragon bones. The dinosaur saddles were equipped with six quivers full of arrows, and on their backs was a longbow with intricate totem patterns. The bowstrings made from dragonsinew gave them immense killing power. Additionally, they had a dozen one-and-a-half meter long javelins. The bone spearheads were shining with a grim glint.

"Hah, indeed they’re Natives. Do they come from the Stone Age? Even a simple iron kitchen knife would be better than a bone knife, right?" The three women were rather relaxed. As Americans, they had seen quite a few movies about Indians. Given the crude weapons they wielded, they wouldn’t be able to stand against even a flintlock, let alone an M4A1. Other than being easy prey and running for their lives, what else could they do?

"Humph, they managed to tame dinosaurs as mounts, do you think they would be that weak?" Lu Fan was also observing with his telescope. Analyzing, he said, "If it isn’t because they stick to their old ways and don’t change their weapons, then it means that their weapons are actually of good quality. Moreover, they are more skilled at using these types of weapons."

"It’s the latter. They have occupied the entire city. Do you think humans wouldn’t resist?" Tang Zheng was eager to test their combat abilities. Looking at their robust bodies, he reasoned that their agility and strength shouldn’t be weak.

"Then why doesn’t it look like there’s been any fighting? At the very least, there should be signs of bloodshed, right?" Jenny didn’t believe this interpretation. "Maybe the Natives came from the teleportation gate just like us, and the city was possibly destroyed by something else."

"No, the killings were most likely done by the Natives elsewhere in the city. That would have frightened the humans so much that they wouldn’t dare to resist and just ran away." Tang Zheng’s face darkened. Regardless of which explanation was correct, it meant the other party was strong.

"And there’s the mission to destroy the Dinosaur Teleportation Platform. It’s probably to prevent them from entering human society." Lu Fan believed in Tang Zheng’s judgment. "What’s next?"

"We should run." Jenny didn’t hesitate at all, even if the other party were the weak Natives she thought of.

"If we are to take action, we must kill them all before they give any warning." Lu Fan understood Tang Zheng’s thinking. "We need to use our Seed Ability."

While they were still discussing, the Native cavalry seemed to have spotted a prey. They suddenly made shrill and strange calls and rushed into a nearby alley. Not long after, they drove out a ten-meter tall Tyrannosaurus which was running wildly, not even daring to fight back.

"Are they really that strong?" Jenny was so surprised that she almost dropped her jaw.

The Native cavalry followed leisurely behind, pulling out javelins from the quivers. Then they stood up on the stirrups, their bodies leaning back, their right arm stretching. With the inertia of the running dinosaur mount, they threw the javelins with all their strength.

The javelin shot out like a flash of lightning, covering thirty meters in an instant. It pierced the Tyrannosaurus’ skin and entered its body, splattering blood everywhere.

The Tyrannosaurus let out a miserable cry and was soon turned into a pin cushion.

"Hiss, there are blood grooves on the javelin, they want to bleed the Tyrannosaurus to death." Lu Fan saw through the telescope how the fresh blood of the Tyrannosaurus was pouring out like a running tap along the spear shaft.

"Does the M4A1’s bullets even have that much power?" Jenny was scared as well, feeling that the weapon in her hand couldn’t give her a sense of security anymore.

"These shots are too terrifying. Not a single one has been missed thus far, and their horsemanship is superb." Lu Fan backed down, "Let’s wait until they’re alone to kill them."

Tang Zheng shook his head. They would inevitably run into these natives sooner or later, so it would be better to fight when their numbers were still manageable.

The panicked Tyrannosaurus was running heedlessly, constantly crashing into parked cars that were instantly sent rolling like they had been hit by tanks. The streets were filled with the sound of metal collision.

"Why don’t they aim for the Tyrannosaurus’ legs? According to their accuracy, it’s possible, right?" Kailin didn’t understand the natives’ actions, "Blinding it would be safer, wouldn’t it?"

"The faster the Tyrannosaurus runs, the quicker it will bleed out. As for its eyes, it’s not yet time." Lu Fan took it upon himself to explain these minor issues, obviating the need for Tang Zheng’s intervention.

"Silence." Tang Zheng lowered himself again, lifting the Thunderstorm Rifle. The Tyrannosaurus was only thirty meters away from them. He didn’t know how good the natives smelled or heard, but they must be decent, otherwise, they wouldn’t have found the hiding Tyrannosaurus.

"But the air is filled with the smell of blood. They shouldn’t notice, right?" Tang Zheng would like to change his hiding spot, but there was no opportunity now.

The Tyrannosaurus stumbled about as if it could no longer endure. It was soaked in blood, its body filled with red, and behind it, it had left a long trail of blood on the street. The natives probably felt that it was time for the total attack, they let out a series of hurried, high-pitched screeches, scattered, and then surrounded it, beginning to cooperate.

Eight native cavalry got up and threw their javelins, this time they chose to attack the Tyrannosaurus’ legs. Two others forcefully slapped the dinosaurs they were riding on the buttocks, instantly accelerating past the Tyrannosaurus from both sides. They then turned around, pulled down their longbows, and nocked their arrows. Within two breaths, arrows made from dragon teeth and fashioned into saw-like shapes were shot like meteors, pinning the Tyrannosaurus’ eyes, blinding them.

The dinosaur mounts ran at high speed, and the two native cavalry shot arrows one after another in this bumpy state, turning the Tyrannosaurus’ head into a porcupine-like appearance.

With a bang, after more than a dozen javelins, the muscles and tendons of the Tyrannosaurus’ legs were torn apart. It could no longer maintain its balance and fell to the ground. The enormous inertia took it far, toppled several cars, and even bent a lamppost as thick as a thigh.

The native cavalry cheered and rushed to the Tyrannosaurus’ side. Two of them jumped down from their mounts, nimbly dodged the struggling Tyrannosaurus and simultaneously pulled out their bone blades, chopping forcefully at the Tyrannosaurus’ neck. This time, Jenny didn’t dare to look down on their weapons, because the head was severed in an instant, rolling out, and fresh blood gushed out like a fountain.

Julia clasped Demi’s eyes tightly for fear that she would shout out. She now admired Lu Fan’s nerves; seeing this scene, the little lolita didn’t change her expression and watched with great interest.

"The weapons should be strengthened by some special herbs or something. Otherwise, such a terrifying intensity isn’t possible." Tang Zheng looked at the natives whose faces were painted with colorful lines and estimated their physical strength to be about three to four times that of ordinary people.

Only thirty meters away, Kailin, who was hiding behind the car, was uneasy. She unconsciously lowered her head and ended up banging it against the car wall with a bang.

The natives who were cheerfully cutting the dinosaur meat fell silent instantly. They stopped what they were doing, listened intently, and two of them even sniffed the air vigorously, smelling the air. Then they yelled a few words, ten cavalry turned towards the direction Tang Zheng and the others were hiding, quickly abandoned the Tyrannosaurus corpse, climbed onto their respective mounts, and rushed over.

"Well, it’s time for front-line action." Lu Fan was about to turn the grinding machine crank to open fire and preempt the enemy but was held back by Tang Zheng.

"Hold on, don’t make a sound." Tang Zheng warned, then jumped out of the hiding place. At this point, the native cavalry had already started their charge, ten javelins were thrown all at once in the first round, and with a bang, they pierced through the metal roof of the car.

Jenny covered her mouth tightly, only then she didn’t shriek with fear. These natives were too terrifying. She began to worry about Tang Zheng. He’d be heavily wounded, even if he managed to kill them in a one vs. ten, right?

Simultaneously with Tang Zheng’s jump, he went on a Thunderstorm bombing spree, firing at the three leading cavalrymen. He had no intention of suppressing them with firepower. That would be not so meaningful and would also waste bullets.

As expected, the three native cavalrymen skillfully controlled their reins, making their mounts dodge the Thunderstorm balls with a small jump. The balls exploded on the ground, blasting some pieces of cement, but when these hit the natives, they didn’t even frown.

"Tough enemy." Tang Zheng had no intention of maneuvering with them on the main street; that was simply seeking death. So, he bowed his head and ran towards the shopping mall opposite the street. The space there was narrow, suitable for combat.

Tang Zheng lured away the native cavalry. Plus, Jenny and the others, fearful for their lives, didn’t dare to breathe heavily and even tried to crouch down as much as possible. So, luckily, they weren’t noticed.
