Chapter 329: Chapter 25 Ancient Giant Lizard
Tang Zheng gradually calmed his emotions, returning to a clear frame of mind. He wasn’t exactly sure what his relationship with Miranda was. It was terribly complicated. He couldn’t help but glance back at her.
When Miranda saw him looking over, she grinned, showing her teeth. She then thought about his awkward expression after he’d been bitten and started to giggle softly.
"Enough already!" Tang Zheng frowned, trying to scare her off. "We were lucky that there was no dinosaur ambush just now, or you would have been in real trouble."
"Wouldn’t you save me?" Miranda was following Tang Zheng by five or six steps. If this was before their recent intimate encounter, this would have been impossible.
"Dream on." Tang Zheng glanced at the sky, chose to forego hunting, and headed straight back to the temporary camp. "You’re just some random woman."
"You’re heartless. I wonder who just shoved that thing in my mouth. Let me remind you, that was my first time." Miranda was about to point the muzzle of her rifle at Tang Zheng’s back when she noticed his hand was on the M1911A1 in his leg gun holster. Startled, she quickly let go of her rifle.
Stimulated by her provocative words, Tang Zheng felt a stirring in his lower body. He had simply wanted to adjust his trousers for comfort, never expecting Miranda to misunderstand his intentions.
"Aren’t you going to warn me?" Miranda aimed to secure their relationship. Therefore, she needed Tang Zheng to engage in conversation. After all, communication is the first step.
"Warn you about what?" Tang Zheng knew what she meant but couldn’t bring himself to say it. This would only give Miranda an excuse to blackmail him.
"Sly. Of course, you wouldn’t want me to tell Nicole, is that it?" Miranda smiled and said, "Don’t worry, there is no condition, I promise you."
Tang Zheng was silent, unsure of Miranda’s intent.
"Aren’t you interested in Nicole? I will help you. Oh...you also fancy blonde widows? That might be a bit difficult." Miranda spoke to herself, tempting Tang Zheng. "And Rolin, the one in the uniform and black stockings, doesn’t she entice you Western men to conquer?"
The auditory stimulus made Tang Zheng think uncontrollably about those women. As Miranda’s words became more explicit, he was getting more and more flustered.
"Stop talking." Tang Zheng quickened his pace, trying to shake off this woman.
"If you would like to continue later tonight, I’ll keep you company." Miranda saw that Tang Zheng was wavering. She was satisfied. She wanted to give him the thrill of an illicit affair. Only then would he not forget her.
Tang Zheng was fortunate. Before he returned to the temporary camp, he stumbled upon a few duck-billed dinosaurs. He quickly killed one and took enough meat. This gave him an excuse, but things didn’t go as smoothly as he had imagined.
When he returned to camp, everyone was awake. Since David and the rest were having breakfast before setting off, the newbies could only sit around. They didn’t dare to leave to find food on their own. So, when they saw Tang Zheng come back, they all focused their gazes on him and then onto Miranda who was following behind him.
"I thought Nicole was your type." David was gnawing on a piece of meat and casually commented, "What’s that woman’s body like?"
"I didn’t do anything. I just went out for a patrol and hunting, okay?" Tang Zheng was taken aback. But he did not show any signs of guilt on his face. He pulled out a helpless face, took out the meat, and invited everyone, "Come and share some."
"Yeah, right, I’d believe in ghosts before I believe in you." David smirked and examined Tang Zheng up and down. He then leaned in, took a sniff, and asked, "What’s this perfume smell?"
"God, are you a dog? I have hugged a few women." Tang Zheng pushed David away and went to Lu Fan. Little Lolita was busily tidying up the tent and stirring a pot of porridge on the outdoor stove.
"Why are you ignoring Uncle?" Tang Zheng lied on his mat, noticing Little Lolita’s pouting face ignoring him.
"Hmph." Little Lolita stirred the porridge vigorously. The spoon clanged against the pot angrily.
"What’s wrong with her?" Tang Zheng looked at Jenny, who was sitting beside him on the mat, looking extremely nonchalant.
"She’s mad that you abandoned her, obviously!" Jenny grinned and picked up a can of beef, saying, "Thank you."
"That’s your labor dividend." Tang Zheng waved his hand away, not used to Jenny’s ingratiating attitude. "Fanfan, Uncle is sorry."
"Hmph, you’re insincere. Also, did you really go hunting?" Lu Fan muttered a response and handed Tang Zheng a bowl of porridge. She then sniffed him while keeping her eyes locked on Tang Zheng.
"Of course." Tang Zheng felt immense pressure, hurriedly gulping down the hot porridge. However, it was scalding, and he spat it out.
"Hmph, pretending to be pitiful won’t help." Lu Fan was, after all, still concerned about Tang Zheng and used her sleeve to wipe his mouth. "Drink slowly."
"Am I that desperate?" Tang Zheng was frustrated. Lu Fan had suddenly become so nagging, and it felt unfamiliar.
"You smell of Miranda’s perfume. Don’t lie. I’ve smelt Julia and Nicole’s perfume before." Lu Fan said these words while staring at Miranda who was sitting on the side with an unreadable expression like nothing had happened. "Uncle, do you know that when you lie, your right eyelid will twitch slightly? You wouldn’t notice it if you don’t look close."
Cough cough. Tang Zheng was choking, pounding on his chest. He had been caught off-guard by Lu Fan’s words.
