Chapter 310: Chapter 10: Morality Obsession_2

"Jack, your daughter is awesome." Tang Zheng yelled before releasing Demi, "I’m a big fan of girls in uniforms."

Miranda and her group, who were fleeing, nearly tripped when they saw this. The jealous fury in the other men’s eyes lit up; they too wanted to manhandle the girl in the nurse uniform.

Jack was a knight, but he was also a father. Seeing his daughter being forcefully kissed, he exploded with anger, his face livid as he chased after them.

"Your father is coming," Tang Zheng shouted to a stupefied Nicole, before picking up Lu Fan and sprinting away again.

"Are you alright? I’m going to kill that kid. I thought he was a decent guy." Jack mumbled, looking back to see the high school girl with the twisted ankle was lagging behind. He contemplated turning back for her.

"Don’t." Nicole hastily held onto her father, pulling on his arm as they moved forward, "Staying with Tang Zheng is our safest option."

"Why are you advocating for that kid?" Jack was puzzled.

Nicole didn’t know how to explain. She had been startled by Tang Zheng’s unexpected move too, but it had proven effective, albeit at some cost to herself.

"This guy, he can be so forceful." Nicole figured Tang Zheng might have been planning to make his move on her for a while. Otherwise, why would he focus on caring for her alone?

The Abnormal Dragon had initially chased after the duck-billed dinosaur. However, seeing the corpse of the Fear Claw Dragon on the ground, it gave up the pursuit and started to feed on the spot. This spared the survivors, even the girl with the sprained ankle managed to keep up with the group.

Leonard and David stopped a thousand meters away. Aside from them, the newbies couldn’t physically last this long. The group had scattered, with everyone trying their best to keep moving. Look after others? They didn’t have the energy to spare.

After hearing his daughter’s explanation, Jack gave up on seeking trouble with Tang Zheng, although he still held a grudge.

"He did touch you after all." Jack glared at Tang Zheng, saying, "If you were not carrying two kids on your back, I would have challenged you to a duel."

"Dad." Nicole felt embarrassed hearing her father talk about her like that in front of others, and she couldn’t help but complain.

"Your daughter is pretty good." Tang Zheng decided to throw this back at Jack if he continued to make trouble. He realised Jack wasn’t just a man of chivalry, but also had a moral obsession. After regrouping, Jack kept looking back, obviously intending to go find the last high school girl.

Luckily, Nicole held onto Jack, preventing him from doing anything foolish.

"It’s my first time coming across such a person." Lying on Tang Zheng’s back, Lu Fan whispered into Tang Zheng’s ear. Demi didn’t receive this kind of treatment and was stuck under the arm. However, the little girl didn’t seem bothered. She seemed to be having fun, giggling the whole time.

Julia felt sorry for her daughter but knew that Tang Zheng had done his best. Hence, she didn’t say much more, starting to worry about what might come next. Tang Zheng couldn’t possibly take care of them forever. In times of danger, he would naturally take care of his loved ones first. Even Nicole seemed to have an edge over her in this situation.

"What should I do?" Julia followed behind Tang Zheng with a worried look, her sense of crisis deepening.

"Tang, shall we stay together?" Miranda took the initiative to strike up a conversation with Tang Zheng when she saw him coming up. Jenny and Chris, as well as the two waitresses by her side, all turned to look at him, waiting for his response.

"Naturally, we should stick together. It’ll be much safer." Jack nodded as a matter of course. He didn’t notice Nicole’s reproachful gaze. She didn’t want other women getting too close to Tang Zheng for some reason.

"Is it possessiveness?" Nicole found it strange. She just had a crush on Tang Zheng, not that she liked him.

"Indeed." Tang Zheng revealed a shy smile and said no more. He didn’t mind doing things to increase the rapport with the group, as he would certainly run alone if trouble arose. After all, these people had nothing to do with him. The reason he saved Demi was partly due to the remnants of kindness in his heart and to prove his harmlessness.

Tang Zheng didn’t know if he could indifferently leave behind the last girl who happened to be his fellow countryman.

"I heard you’re not an American Chinese?" asked Miranda. She had managed to gather some intel about Tang Zheng from others, but she was more comfortable collecting it herself.

"Chinese."

"That’s a mysterious country." Miranda complimented, and smiling, asked, "Based on your age, you should still be in school. How do you know so much about survival skills?"

"You’d get acquainted with them soon enough if you survive in the Trojan Horse Game." Tang Zheng got alerted. This woman initiated a conversation with him out of nowhere. There must be a catch.

"Do you think we can survive?" The other women also turned their gaze towards him; they really cared about this.

Tang Zheng looked at Miranda. This woman somehow managed to change out of her evening gown and into protective clothing while up in the tree. This explained her composure, she obviously was enjoying the benefits of doubled physical fitness.

The tight blue protective clothing accentuated Miranda’s seductive figure even more, making her look like a beautiful, mature, and enticing snake. Moreover, she knew just how to seduce men.

Catching Tang Zheng’s sidelong glance, Miranda smiled faintly and shot a glance back at him.

"You haven’t answered my question yet." Miranda ran her fingers through her hair, revealing her slender neck and delicate earlobes. This mature woman gave off a myriad of subtle charms without even trying.

"Lu Fan and I will survive. As for the rest of you, it will depend on your adaptability and luck." Tang Zheng found it necessary to sound a warning, "Getting chased by a few dinosaurs is just an appetizer. You could ask David, at the end of each Trojan Horse Game, more than two-thirds of the survivors will perish."

While Miranda kept her smile, the faces of the other women turned awkward. Tang Zheng’s words were indeed too horrifying and harsh.

"I believe you, so how can we survive?" Miranda knew men loved to display their capabilities, she decided to give Tang Zheng a chance to shine and make him notice how considerate and gentle she was. She felt she could control a man like Tang Zheng.

"How did you die?" Tang Zheng changed the subject, not wanting to be led around by the nose, "You were completely sloshed when you entered the room."

"I was at a family dinner, and after getting drunk, I went to the garden to sober up. I guess I must’ve been pushed by a maid into the swimming pool." For the first time, Miranda frowned and displayed anger, stating, "You know, that despicable man will inherit a large chunk of my wealth, almost twenty billion US dollars."

"Despicable man?" Nicole was interested in this gossip.

"My husband." Miranda flaunted her wealth and charm, trying to seduce these fragile-minded men, but soon she was disappointed, as she noticed that the only two men around seemed preoccupied and were ignoring her entirely.

Moral purist Jack kept looking back, still worried about the high school girl, while Tang Zheng paid no attention to Miranda’s words at all. His focus was on assessing the environment and cross-referencing it with the electronic map. From time to time, he scanned the flora and fauna around them, determining if they posed any threat.
