Chapter 305: Chapter 7 Difficult Start

After correcting the route three times and spending forty minutes, everyone finally set foot on the shiny route marked on the electronic map.

They had spotted a few herbivorous dinosaurs along the way, and for safety reasons, they quietly avoided them. Lu Fan took out his DV and shot a little video, which prompted the newbies to follow suit, taking out their mobile phones to take pictures as if they were sightseeing tourists on the African savannah. It wasn’t until Leonard warned them a few times that they finally quietened down.

Doctor Jack had become close friends with Tang Zheng, and they spoke freely. This doctor was middle-aged man who overflowed with a sense of justice, practicing chivalry. Tang Zheng had a good impression of him due to his intervention against the policeman’s behavior in the room, and more importantly, he was accompanied by a pretty daughter, who added points to his impression.

Nicole was cheerful and lively, inserting comments from time to time, asking about some Chinese historical figures, but gradually her words became less and her face showed signs of fatigue.

"There will be some when we reach the river." David scratched his head and said, then turned around and continued walking. After a few steps, he stopped and turned back to see the newbies were still standing in the same spot, confused. "What’s wrong?" he asked.

"Can we take a break, please? This backpack is just too heavy." The hip-hop youth couldn’t stand this kind of hardship any longer. As he said this, he threw his backpack on the ground, sat down, and started wiping his sweat.

"Walk a little further. What if we encounter a dinosaur attack? First, find a safe spot." David shook his head in disagreement. However, he did not seem all that dismissive, and gave the newcomers hope. They began to try to persuade him and sat down.

"David, let’s take a break. They’re exhausted, they won’t be able to fight if there’s an attack." Danny convinced David while setting his backpack on the ground, dusting off the loose soil for Natalie to sit.

"Fine then," conceded David, helplessly.

Upon hearing this, the newbies who had already sat down immediately relaxed. Their bodies sagged and they settled down to enjoy a moment of respite.

The young woman, Julia, was the most exhausted. At that moment, she was sitting on her backpack, panting heavily. At first the blonde lolita was able to walk by herself, but ten minutes later she was so tired she had to climb onto Julia’s back, adding to her burden.

"Uncle, here is some water for you." Lu Fan took out a bottle of mineral water, unscrewed it, then handed it to Tang Zheng. He then continued to hold up his oil-paper umbrella to shield him from the scorching sun.

The little lolita’s voice may not have been very loud, but the thirsting newbies were too sensitive to the word "water". They instinctively swallowed their saliva and threw a glance in their direction.

Lu Fan licked his lips and ignored those gazes, as David and his party clearly had their own reserves. They all took out their water bottles, instantly shifting attention away from Lu Fan.

"I have some too, want some?" Danny, smiling all over his face, shook his mineral water bottle, then offered it up to the movie star Natalie like it was a precious treasure.

"Thank you." Natalie was really thirsty. She took the bottle, drank a few gulps, then returned it to him. "You don’t mind, do you?"

"Keep it, I have more!" Hearing his admired movie star thanking him with a smile, Danny was somewhat overjoyed. He really wanted to keep the bottle that had touched her lips, but restrained himself.

"As a gentleman, treating her well leaves a good impression on her. What’s a bottle compared to that? I’m sure I could actually kiss her lips." Danny, looking at Natalie’s lips, eagerly offered, "Are you hungry? I still have some food."

Everyone was looking at Danny, making him involuntarily straighten his back a little.

"Uncle, you missed your chance to get close to a movie star." Lu Fan spread his hands, taking out a piece of chocolate to munch on.

"Not interested." After drinking half of the water, Tang Zheng let out a comfortable breath. As he was about to put the cap back on, Lu Fan snatched it away and gulped it down.

"What are you doing?" Tang Zheng was surprised. He had enough water stored in his space wristwatch to drink for a month while taking showers every three days and still have plenty left over - certainly there was no need to be so frugal.

"Tang, there’s your problem. Why would you take water from a kid? It’s not very gentlemanlike." Jack’s face turned serious. He admonished Tang Zheng.

"You misunderstood." Tang Zheng gave a wry smile. Nevertheless, he had a newfound impression of Jack’s character. Jack did not even ask him for water, nor did he even glance at the bottle.

"Don’t worry, I don’t mind if uncle is dirty." Lu Fan knew what Tang Zheng meant, but it was necessary to conserve resources at a time like this. "So in return, I’ll let you eat the chocolate."

Lu Fan held the remaining chocolate in his mouth, stood on his tiptoes, and stretched it towards Tang Zheng’s mouth.

All eyes were on Tang Zheng, their faces showing strange expressions. The hamburger in Leonard’s hand dropped onto the grass with a thud.

Whispers about Tang Zheng being a lolicon and a weird uncle filled the air. Julia subconsciously hugged her daughter tighter, defending them with a wary look towards Tang Zheng.

"Cut it out." Looking at little Lolita’s pink lips, Tang Zheng swatted irritably at her forehead.
