Chapter 299 - 2 Another Trojan Room

Chapter 299: Chapter 2 Another Trojan Room

Having spent points to heal himself, once again Tang Zheng was back in prime condition, eliminating the need to rest. Therefore, for the first time he truly enjoyed three leisurely days, the last ’free vacation’ after finishing university. During that time, An Xiuru helped him go through the process of suspending his studies. No doubt, if he continued to take leaves of absence, his supervisor would definitely call his parents, causing them unnecessary worry.

Normally, hiding at home would be the safest option while waiting for teleportation. However, Tang Zheng couldn’t shake off a deep sense of uneasiness this time. As a result, he squeezed himself under the bed, not coming out until his body disappeared.

Mu Nianqi also had moments when she wasn’t able to monitor everything. Seeing this scene the next day, she couldn’t help but feel confused, assuming the camera had broken. After all, the idea of a person being teleported into another space was something one wouldn’t believe without experiencing it first-hand.

Once the teleportation was over, Tang Zheng was caught off guard because there were two foreigners in the room - a white man dressed as a bartender with a waistcoat and suit, and a lady with wavy hair, wearing stockings and fitting capri pants.

"It seems it’s not just locals, and I’m the first one again." Without any greetings, Tang Zheng went and sat down in the corner of the room, waiting for Qin Yan and the rest. As he looked around, he noticed something odd. "Huh, why is the room different?"

The Black Cube was still in the center of the room, but apart from this Trojan Room with its pale white walls, there was another room with a half-open door. Tang Zheng immediately stood up and rushed over.

Outside was a wooden-floored L-shaped corridor. On one side was an anti-theft door, and on the other, three ordinary bedrooms. Sounds could be heard from a tightly closed door.

"What’s going on?" Tang Zheng wondered, pressing himself against the wall. A woman continued to shout "FU.CK", in a way that surely sounded like a foreigner. He tried the anti-theft door, but as expected, it would not open. On his way back, another young white woman teleported into the room.

"Anyone in the mood for bed-rolling now has probably survived at least two games." Tang Zheng made a guess, not caring what the couple were up to. He approached the door, turned the handle and couldn’t open it. He then hammered on it twice.

"Go away." The man inside wasn’t in a good mood, and seemed to have taken his anger out on the door, swearing loudly.

Tang Zheng retreated a couple of steps, then kick the door handle position. With a bang, the door got busted. Amidst the splintering wood fragments, the remaining parts were plugged into the wall, and the door axis made a creaking sound under the weight.

A woman’s scream and a man’s curses immediately came from inside the room. Tang Zheng waited for ten seconds, giving them time to put on their clothes, and then went in. However, he clearly overestimated their sense of shame.

No cover and no panic.

A blonde man was lying on the only queen-sized bed in the room, raging at Tang Zheng.

"Get out." The blonde man pointed at the door, yelling at Tang Zheng. The woman just glanced back at Tang Zheng, smiling and teasing him with a provocative lick of her lips.

Tang Zheng glanced at the clothes on the floor. The man’s was indeed a blue tight-fitting jumpsuit, and it appeared to be only a Level A prop at best, otherwise he wouldn’t have thrown it so casually. On the other hand, the woman wore a dress and sandals. Clearly, she was a newbie. Given her uninhibited demeanor, heavy eye makeup, lip color, and the lip ring at the corner of her mouth, there was an 80% chance she was a****** Danny was furious that the Asian guy did not follow his command to leave, but instead calmly surveyed the room. This was not because he was upset about being caught in the act. After all, he had gotten used to such things after joining the Trojan Horse Game. It was this newbie’s disregard for his commands that irritated him. After all, he was a veteran having survived two games.

"He needs to be put in his place." Danny reached for the handgun at the head of the bed, however, a gunshot barely missed his scalp, embedding itself into the wall.

******* screamed out and quickly rolled off the king-sized bed to hide. Danny’s face instantly turned purple, and he sucked in a breath sharply,

"FU.CK," Danny cursed again. Not until another bullet shot close to him did he remember he wasn’t wearing protective clothing. His flesh couldn’t shield him from bullets. As soon as he was about to roll under the bed, he was halted.

"Do you want to be shot?

"What are you going to do?" Seeing the black muzzle of the M1911 gun in the Asian’s hands, noticing his steady wrists and calm demeanor, Danny guessed that this man had killed before, which led him to curb his attitude.

"What is this place?" Tang Zheng didn’t plan to act like the newbie he was. Even though he wore sportswear over his Firefly, once he used the weapon, his identity would be completely exposed.

"This is the Trojan Room. You’re dead. Now, you’ll take part in a game. Once you accumulate ten thousand points, you can leave." Danny didn’t hide anything, planning to wait for team captain David to come and deal with this newbie.

"You’re American? How many others like you have survived a game?" Hearing this response, Tang Zheng’s brows furrowed deeper. Could he have been transferred to another Trojan Room?

"Yes." Danny hesitated for a moment, but noticing Tang Zheng’s finger tightening on the trigger, he immediately raised his hands, exclaiming, "Five, there are five altogether."

"Have people from other countries been transferred here in the past?"

"No, only people from North America." Danny looked at Tang Zheng curiously. His English was perfectly fine, and although his accent was a personal matter, rough-mannered Danny could not guess the implications and saw Tang Zheng as an Asian American.

"All right, carry on." Tang Zheng didn’t want to hear reports about the others from Danny since he’d meet them soon. Instead, it’d be better to observe the performances of the newbies.

As soon as Danny saw Tang Zheng turn and walk away, he hurriedly grabbed a Desert Eagle under his pillow, aiming at Tang Zheng’s back.

"Can you kill anyone within this room?" Tang Zheng asked, not looking back. His question made Danny deflate like an airless balloon. Indeed, fighting in the room was not allowed, or points would be deducted. Danny, who only had three to five thousand points, didn’t have many to waste.

"Sorry for the disturbance." He turned and left without lingering, closing the door behind him with a loud bang.

Only then did Danny breathe a sigh of relief, realizing he was emotionally oppressed by Tang Zheng. He was just about to swear when he saw Jenny with a shocked expression, patting her chest.

"Dear Danny, it’s good that you didn’t shoot. Otherwise, we would certainly have become mutilated corpses. Didn’t you feel like he was looking at us as if we were completely worthless pieces of beef?"

"You’re the piece of beef." Danny flustered and hastily checked his lower body. "Quickly, help to check if it still works."

Tang Zheng returned to the living room only to find that seven more newbies had been transported in, all of them Americans. His frustration grew. What was Silver Trojan up to, throwing him into a place like this?

Three young people dressed in hip-hop fashion sat carelessly on the floor, curiously examining the black cube while smoking marijuana. The thick mists of smoke filled the room with a strange odor.

To their right, two young women in waitress uniforms with pale yellow aprons. Towards the left, two middle-aged, slightly overweight white men, one a driver, smoking a cigarette, the other holding a fishing rod, his whole body wet. Both of them looked around the room puzzled.

"Why is Qin Yan always the last one to be transferred?" Seeing a tipsy woman in a red backless evening gown being transferred in, Tang Zheng began to worry, "Could I be the only participant in the Trojan Horse Game this time?"

Then, two hooligans and a man with a scar on his face wearing a suit and shoes also entered the room. They all seemed like newbies given their curious glances. When they saw the evening-gown-clad woman sprawled on the ground, exposing her bare back, the two hooligans snickered and walked over.

The room’s relaxed atmosphere tensed at once. Everyone watched them, but the hooligans didn’t seem to care. One even pulled out a butterfly knife, threateningly flashing it around, before squatting next to the woman in the evening gown. He grabbed her arm bag and rummaged through it, pocketing any found US dollars into his waist bag. As the other was about to pull off her necklace, he froze. Two policemen had just been transferred in, and they immediately reached for the guns at their waists upon seeing this scene.

The two hooligans promptly turned and fled out of the room, but the policemen didn’t blindly chase after them; instead, they moved steadily toward the hallway.

Only then did the two waitresses come over to help the woman in the evening gown. The other men also started to gather around, using this opportunity to interact with each other,

Tang Zheng silently watched it all, not intending to intervene. He noticed when one of the policemen chased after a hooligan, the man with the scar put his right hand into his waist where something bulky lay, probably a gun.

Transfers began again, and this time, it was a middle-aged white man in a lab coat with a stethoscope, accompanied by a young nurse in a pink nurse’s uniform that accentuated her voluptuous figure.

"Don’t tell me I’m the only one from my place?" Tang Zheng’s face darkened as he counted the number of people, but then another woman was being transferred in, giving him a glimmer of hope.
