Chapter 294: Chapter 40 The Last Desperate Run_2

Old Horse stared into Tang Zheng’s eyes. After three seconds, he reluctantly nodded, Lu Fan and Pang Meiqin cheered immediately. It was indeed the case.

"You’re cursed?" Seeing Old Horse nod, Tang Zheng continued to ask, "How do I lift it?"

Old Horse drew on the ground with his hoof, he scribbled out a string of English text.

"It requires a man’s kiss." After Lu Fan finished reading, the three women subconsciously glanced at Tang Zheng, and then broke into laughter.

"Have Tang Zheng kiss a horse? This must be recorded." Qin Yan reached into her pocket, gripping her mobile phone, as Pang Meiqin and Lu Fan shared a similar idea.

"You think you’re a princess?" Tang Zheng’s face twisted in disapproval. This was really ridiculous. Looking at Old Horse’s lips, and thinking that she might turn into an old woman after reverting, he felt nauseated and rejected the idea vehemently, "I can’t do it."

"I am a princess." Old Horse snorted and continued to write with her hoof.

"Does it have to be a man?" Lu Fan asked. Seeing Old Horse nod, she asked again, "Would a dead man do?"

Old Horse was taken aback for a moment this time and then began to back away, trying to escape from this little devil.

"Alright, Meiqin, grab a man’s head. Qin Yan, tie this creature up with a rope so she can’t escape." Tang Zheng merely had to give orders now.

"Would a demon appear when the curse is lifted?" Lu Fan had played many RPG adventure games and was very concerned about this.

The Princess Old Horse shook her head miserably. Three minutes later, she saw Pang Meiqin, holding a severed head by the hair, continuously backed away. That was until Tang Zheng’s Demon Slaying Holy Flame hit her hindquarters, leaving a bloody mark, causing her to calm down.

A horse kissing a human head was certainly a rare sight. However, after a moment, a flash of white light transformed Old Horse into a skinny, naked old woman crouching on the ground and vomiting, even bile came out.

"Give her a cloth to wear." Tang Zheng cautiously surveyed the surroundings, waited for five minutes, confirmed there was no danger, and then led them into the lobby.

Standing once again in the castle she once knew, tears streamed down the princess’s face.

"Do you know Stain?" Tang Zheng’s group was preparing to leave.

"He was the faithless man who turned me into a horse, my husband." The princess cursed furiously, her body trembling.

"Why did he ask us to find you?" Tang Zheng was confused, was this another palace intrigue?

"How do we leave Demon City?" Lu Fan was not concerned about these things, "If you wish to withhold information, just remember we won’t be considerate."

"Once you’ve crossed Crow Ridge, you’re outside the range of Demon City. It’s about ten miles away." The princess sat down wearily, she couldn’t endure much longer, which made everyone worried.

"Let’s go soon, this old woman looks like she could die anytime." Pang Meiqin urged softly, then pointed to Yin Shangwu, "What about her?"

Pang Meiqin had her eyes on Yin Shangwu’s equipment, after all she was a conqueror, which meant survivability.

"Meiqin, you’ll carry her." Tang Zheng didn’t think too much and said, "If you want to die, contribute to us one last time, and help us cover the rear if we encounter enemies."

Yin Shangwu shrugged indifferently, "My Tang sword is an SS-Class Item and of most value, remember to take it from my corpse."

Eight days later, Tang Zheng and his group once again stepped into the courtyard of the stone statue demon. Under the guidance of the new bride, placing the six heads as instructed they reached the main entrance without any attacks. The princess clasped her hands together before her chest, and began to chant a hymn.

A sacred aura radiated from the old princess, permeating the vines around the iron gate, causing them to wither instantly.

"It’s fine now." The princess wiped the sweat from her brow and said weakly, "Don’t worry. Even if I die, I will get you all out of here since you have helped me regain my human form."

Inside the castle, the sky was still bright as noon. But the moment Tang Zheng stepped out of the main entrance, the sky immediately darkened, and a new moon hung high. A damp, cool, nighttime breeze blew across their skin, giving everyone the chills.

Barely leafless trees surrounded them, casting eerie shadows under the moonlight.

"What’s going on?" Pang Meiqin, carrying Yin Shangwu on her back, wished she could just dump him and run. Ten miles amounted to about sixteen thousand meters, a distance she did not believe she could cover.

Tang Zheng hadn’t forgotten the Hummer he had stored in the Space Wristwatch initially intending to summon the Beetle Chariot. However, the wristwatch indicated that it couldn’t be used.

Seeing the Hummer, Pang Meiqin immediately threw Yin Shangwu into the back seat with a face filled with excitement, climbed into the cab, and gestured for everyone to get in the car quickly. "Hurry up."

Although they were off-road, Pang Meiqin skillfully controlled the Hummer, which drove off in a cloud of dust. Meanwhile, Tang Zheng did not stand idle, he filled all the weapons with ammo clips and placed them by his side.

Tang Zheng never imagined that the ten-mile journey would be as easy as a picnic. Sure enough, three minutes later, a swarm of bat-winged demons began to chase after them from behind, forming a dark mass that obscured the moonlight.

"Prepare for battle, Lu Fan, watch over the princess. If she makes any suspicious move, kill her." Tang Zheng didn’t dare to be careless. Initially, he planned to trap the princess. However, if she managed to escape from harm, it would instead endanger them, so he scrapped that idea.

"There’s something ahead." exclaimed Pang Meiqin, about to veer the steering wheel sharply.

At a distance of about a hundred meters ahead were over a thousand ghost knights. They were riding skeletal warhorses, dressed in armor, wielding dragon spears and were rushing towards Tang Zheng’s group.

"Hit them." Realising the fragile windshield wouldn’t withstand their attack, Tang Zheng simply shattered it with one shot and assembled the captured Gatling 6-Barrel Machine Gun on it.

After connecting the gun to the power supply, the barrels began to rotate, and it started to spew bullets wildly like a madman. The knights advancing at the forefront instantly seemed to hit a wall and collapsed. Ten seconds later, Gatling had munched off a corner of the cavalry’s formation.

Because there was limited space inside the vehicle, the ejected hot bullet shells had nowhere to go. They ended up piling on Tang Zheng, eventually burying his lower half.

Given the knights’ numbers and their resistance level surpassed the human-headed spiders, Gatling couldn’t suppress them, as even dozens of bullets couldn’t finish off one. Hence, some managed to slip through.

"If we hadn’t had the car, how would have we run the ten thousand odd meters? We’d surely never have escaped their pursuit," Pang Meiqin, looking at the ghost knights slamming onto the Hummer and feeling the undulating sensation as the vehicle ran over them, turned pale with fright.

The flying demons behind them caught up, fiercely throwing their steel forks. To their surprise, the Hummer didn’t withstand the attack as it was pierced by the sharp steel forks, causing chaos inside for Tang Zheng’s group as they all ducked.

"Watch out." Tang Zheng, who was sitting on the passenger side, yanked Pang Meiqin’s body sideways. Just before a knight was knocked over, he thrust his five-meter long dragon spear into the driver’s seat. If Tang Zheng had reacted a moment later, Pang Meiqin would have been impaled.

The Hummer immediately started jerking around like an unbridled wild bull. Pang Meiqin didn’t delay and grabbed the steering wheel tightly, but her posture was awkward because of the dragon spear right in the middle.

"Qin Yan, remove the dragon spear from the seat." Tang Zheng continued to fire, trying to clear the obstructions on the road as much as possible, reducing the chances of Pang Meiqin being attacked. When the bullets of the Gatling finished, Tang Zheng immediately picked up an M249. A different sound of gunfire echoed inside the carriage, almost rupturing everyone’s eardrums.

"Are we going in the right direction?" Lu Fan pressed the princess’s head onto the car seat and laid on top of her. At the moment, their lives were more precious than hers.

No one responded. The princess had already passed out from fear. Lu Fan took a look and picked up an AK74, but she couldn’t find the right moment to shoot as the Hummer was constantly shaking, making it impossible for her to control the muzzle.

"We’ll survive. We’ll definitely make it back alive." Pang Meiqin muttered under her breath, pressing the accelerator to the floor, creating a long, billowing dust cloud on the surface of Crow Ridge.
