Chapter 270: Chapter 22 - Bloodstained Duel_2

Splurt, blood splattered out, and Xu Guanlin’s entire pinkie dropped to the ground.

The brown-haired man thought of the possibility that he might also face this kind of punishment, and his face immediately turned pale.

"The game continues." After a ghost maid sprinkled some hemostatic medicine on Xu Guanlin’s finger, the Butler announced that the game would continue, they would not let the toys die from blood loss.

"Hehe, your luck seems to be bad." Xu Guanlin deliberately extended his fingerless hand, drew a poker card, and was lucky enough to get a pair of Spades Seven.

Two armored knights walked out and imposed the same punishment on the brown-haired young man’s hand, and so the cruel game continued amid the screams of terror.

Tang Zheng watched the ghost card draw duel, hoping to find exploitable weaknesses, but it seems that for now, one can only gamble on luck.

"It’s a good thing that Xu Guanlin was the first to go, his momentum is not bad," Tang Zheng suddenly felt a bit of a pity. Though this kid was overly self-confident and somewhat arrogant, some of his qualities were commendable.

"Sorry, your luck seems to be slightly worse." Xu Guanlin’s mouth curled into a smile, seizing the opportunity, and did not take back the Joker card that the opponent had drawn.

When he saw the opponent’s cards forming a pair of twos and falling on the table, the brown-haired youngster’s face turned ashen, and he collapsed on the table.

Xu Guanlin glanced at the six blood-stained fingers on the table that used to be his, smiled contemptuously, stood up, and raised his already bare fist.

The students did not cheer for the victory, but silently watched Xu Guanlin. At this moment, all the boys hoped they could be as resilient as him!

Boom, the brown-haired boy’s head suddenly exploded, and then his headless body fell to the ground with a thump. No knight came to clean up the corpse and the severed fingers on the table, and they immediately announced the continuation of the second game.

"My turn." A male student looked at Xu Guanlin, who had lost six fingers but received much admiration, and immediately stood up passionately, walked to the long table and sat down, "Quick!"

"Wang Shang forgot to take the gun." Zhang Hao murmured, but no one paid him any attention.

The unfortunate one selected from the Superman squad this time was a blonde girl. She looked at the severed fingers on the table,

with her legs trembling, almost collapsing on the floor.

"Hmph, don’t waste time." Alice snorted discontentedly and snapped her fingers. Two playing card soldiers immediately pounced on her, grabbed her arm, dragged her to the table, and threw her on the chair.

"Let’s start." Seeing the state of the blonde girl, Wang Shang became even more confident, feeling certain of his victory. Even the students believed that he could win.

However, it seems that luck was not on Wang Shang’s side this time. The situation got stuck, and the blonde girl, after being forced to cut off three of her fingers, gave up resistance and unexpectedly calmed down.

Three minutes later, Wang Shang’s arm was held down on the table by the armored knights, losing his eighth finger, while the opponent still had one card left in hand.

"WIN!" The blonde girl, who had also lost eight fingers, cried out. Her face was covered in tears of relief. She took tired steps and returned to her own formation.

Watching the newcomers of the Superman squad start to cheer, Wang Shang’s face was full of sorrow and self-blame. He didn’t get up but held his head with both hands, which had only two fingers left.

"I’m sorry, I let you down." The self-reproaching Wang Shang spoke, not hearing the understanding of his classmates. His head suddenly exploded and turned into a lump of rotten meat. The corpse fell on the table with a thump, fresh blood flowed out of his neck, staining the poker cards on the table.

The female students sobbed and wiped away their tears, while only Zhang Hao was muttering how unfortunate it was that Wang Shang didn’t bring a gun, otherwise he could have dealt with one person.

Due to a round of victory, the morale of the Superman squad recovered a lot. When a well-built black man was selected, he didn’t hesitate and stepped out.

There was a brief silence on their side. Tang Zheng and Lin Weiguo were about to stand up. Otherwise, if they continued like this, everyone would plunge into hesitation and panic again. However, they were a step too late. Lu Fan didn’t look back, giggled, dragged his arms around his back, and ran out like a pigeon.

"Lu Fan." Tang Zheng took a step, but he was immediately blocked by an armored knight.

"No replacements are permitted." The Butler glanced at Tang Zheng and warned.

"Don’t worry, uncle, Lu Fan will win this." Lu Fan made the V for victory sign at Tang Zheng, then awkwardly heaped Wang Shang’s corpse off the chair, carefully placed it aside, stood on her tiptoes, and collected the eight severed fingers from the table, which belonged to Wang Shang and placed them on her chest.

Everyone silently watched this innocent little girl, watched the blood splattered on her face, watched her fear but also her forced, biting smile.

"Alright, Alice, let’s begin." Blood from the table dripped steadily onto the stone floor, pooling into a puddle, but Lu Fan took no notice and looked at Alice.

Alice re-drew nineteen poker cards and declared the start of the third round.

"Can Little Fan Fan win?" Li Xinlan couldn’t bear to let a little loli suffer the agony of severed fingers. Surely, a complete victory was but a fool’s dream.

"Each finger is linked to the heart, how can a little loli endure this pain?" Xu Guanlin’s face was filled with guilt and regret, "This responsibility should fall on us adults."

Everyone felt ashamed of this criticism. If someone else said it, they would be ridiculed, but as a player who had lost six fingers, Xu Guanlin had the right to say it.

"Guanlin, is there any difference in these poker cards?" Tang Zheng, unable to get a close look, was frustrated.

"I can’t tell." Xu Guanlin was helpless; he had no room in his brain to notice such details amidst the draw, which was in total chaos.

The black man initially looked down on this child, but after several rounds, he found Lady Luck was on her side. He had drawn three times in a row, none of them a pair, directly costing him three fingers, as well as four more fingers that were taken by Lu Fan.

"She cheated." The black man roared, turning to Alice in disbelief, "Why can she always choose the right ones, and why is she covering her right eye?"

"This is my lucky gesture!" Lu Fan snorted and answered arrogantly.

"If you question Alice’s fairness, it will be counted as a direct loss." Alice answered pompously, then laughed, "As for your question, yes, she indeed cheated, but your failure to notice only proves your stupidity."

The Super Team immediately erupted into dissatisfaction, admonishing Alice.

"Silence, the game rules do not forbid cheating." The Butler roared, suppressing the disturbance.

"There are two cards left, if I choose correctly, you will die." Lu Fan covered her right eye, entirely giddy, reveling in the forthcoming victory.

"Amanda, have you figured out her ability?" Brant frowned, asking in a low voice. Without a doubt, this Eastern little loli was a Seed Ability User.

"Although I don’t know how she can see the card in Andrew’s hand, it must have something to do with the lump of sand the size of a thumbprint on Andrew’s shoulder." Amanda had been observing Andrew and this minute anomaly was the only thing she had found.

"Use the sonic attack to remove it." Responding to Brant’s order, Amanda nodded, puckered her lips, locked onto the sand on Andrew’s shoulder, and expelled a sonic attack that no one could hear. If there weren’t restrictions on killing, she would have used this method to kill everyone quietly.

"Tang Zheng, Sister Shangwu, did you see what Little Loli did?" Zhang Hao, green with envy, said, "Lu Fan must be the only one who can achieve a perfect victory, right?"

"Not sure." Tang Zheng had also seen the sand on the black student Andrew’s shoulder, thinking that it might be related, but Lu Fan was inept at disguising it.

"Let it end soon, as long as nothing goes wrong!" Li Xinlan worried, and just after she finished her sentence, she saw Little Lu Fan scream and tumble off the chair.
