Chapter 1606: Chapter 7 This Woman is not Simple

Su Huixin felt a huge pain in her scalp, as if it was about to be ripped off by that thug, and she could only make whimpering sounds while half of her cheek was covered by a large hand. She struggled more fiercely in horror and unease.

If it were a monster, killing it would solve the problem, but facing this crazy woman, Tang Zheng was at a loss.

"Shut up, or I’ll kill you," Tang Zheng growled threateningly, grabbing her shoulders and forcefully flipping her over, "I’m not a bad guy, if you stay quiet, I’ll give you food."

In the production studio, only the moonlight spilling through the glass window illuminated the darkness. Su Huixin could only see the blurry outline of Tang Zheng, and after being violently hit, she didn’t believe his ’lies’ at all, and her beautiful legs kicked wildly.

Tang Zheng’s thigh got hit. Even though he was wearing protective clothing, such an attack was barely a tickle, but it was incredibly frustrating.

"Are you ever going to stop?" Tang Zheng snapped, reaching for the anchor’s thigh to pin her down, but her fierce struggling and the surge of adrenaline made her break out in a cold sweat.

Rip, Tang Zheng felt a slippery touch on his tentacle, and before he could exert any strength, the silk stockings were completely torn apart due to the anchor’s kicking.

Su Huixin’s eyes widened suddenly, thinking that the man was going to rape her, so she twisted even more frantically like a worm.

"Damn, I can’t take it anymore!" Tang Zheng didn’t have the leisure to waste time here. He released the right hand covering the anchor’s mouth, and before she could instinctively scream for help, he delivered a well-powered slap.

Bang, Su Huixin was stunned by the slap, her lips split open and bleeding, her limbs weak and lying on the ground, her head assaulted by waves of dizziness, unable to get up for the moment.

"Making trouble for no reason, you deserve it." Looking at the woman who was fussing for nothing, Tang Zheng was annoyed, "If I wanted to rape you, I would have done it a long time ago."

Opening the tactical backpack, Tang Zheng took out two cans of tuna, tossed them at Su Huixin, then walked to the door, and after making sure the corridor was clear, he shut the door.

The anchor didn’t move, and after recuperating for a bit, she started to sob softly.

"Stop crying." Tang Zheng turned around and flashed his flashlight at Su Huixin, "I have something to ask you."

Under the light, the anchor looked like a flower that had been ravaged. Because of her struggle, the seam at the edge of her sheath dress was torn, and the hem was rolled up to her waist, her right leg’s silk stockings were ripped wide open by Tang Zheng, and even her little suit was not spared, with buttons long gone, openly exposing a tattered shirt inside.

"Dress properly!" Tang Zheng frowned, making himself look like a villain.

Su Huixin didn’t respond, just stared blankly at the two cans of food, then sat up, clenched her teeth, and tugged at her skirt.

"What are you doing?" Tang Zheng exclaimed in shock.

"Here we go, aren’t you going to sleep with me?" Self-abandonment struck the anchor; she simply lay down on the floor, motionless, just two lines of tears streaking across her dirty cheeks.

The past half-month was simply apocalyptic for Su Huixin. Not only did she suffer from hunger, but she was also frequently beaten, and on two occasions nearly raped. If she hadn’t been astute, she would have been violated by those dozen men. She had witnessed a female colleague who failed to escape meeting a terrible fate, and her naked corpse was finally thrown into the backyard.

Having endured until now, the anchor simply could not hold on any longer. She was too hungry, and the surrounding dangers, as well as the impossible situation of escape, made her break down, and what just happened was her final act of defiance. Now, she resigned herself to her fate.

"Not even considering your filthy appearance, why would I be interested in you?" Tang Zheng deliberately showed disdain, as that was the only way to make the anchor regain her sanity, "Eat quickly, once you have strength, lead me to the Radio Room, I need to send a message."

Tang Zheng knew that the headquarters of the city’s radio station was located here, and one of his university friends especially loved the Midnight Voice and was a fan of the female broadcaster from that station.

"What are you going to send? A distress signal?" Su Huixin’s eyes lit up, but after her outburst, she was filled with caution again. Like a starving tiger, she grabbed the cans and clutched them to her chest, slowly retreating, "It’s no use, I tried before, there was no rescue."

"Stop wasting words and take me there," Tang Zheng opened the door, "Is the radio station still operational?"

"Aren’t you from the television station?" Su Huixin asked irrelevantly, finally seeing Tang Zheng’s face clearly in the remnants of flashlight light.

"I’m short on time. Once I successfully transmit the signal, I’ll give you two more cans of food."

"Four cans, no, eight," Su Huixin’s gaze fell on Tang Zheng’s backpack, and she swallowed her saliva, "Don’t be quick to refuse, without me, you might not find the Radio Room all night, and there’s no electricity now, if you want to use it, you’ll have to start the diesel generator and use emergency electric power."

"You think you have the right to bargain?" A smirk spilled over Tang Zheng’s lips, "I admire your courage, but I hate your inability to see the situation."

Tang Zheng, holding his gun with one hand, aimed at Su Huixin, "Are you trying to make me shoot you twice?"

"I would rather die if pushed too far," Su Huixin finally regained some of the spirited demeanor of the famous female anchor, "But you’ll agree, I can tell you’re really short on time."

The female anchor was very confident in her figure and appearance, and there were many businessmen and high officials who wanted to take advantage of her, but due to her family background, none of them succeeded.

"Maybe this guy is a good person." Su Huixin’s cheek was swollen from being hit, although she resented it, she hadn’t lost her basic judgment. If it were an ordinary man, he would have already pounced on her, but this guy, he barely even looked at her.

"Deal, lead the way quickly." Tang Zheng certainly wouldn’t waste time for a few cans of food.

"Where did this guy come from? He has a gun, and he can get to the television station, which means he has experience defeating or evading Terracotta Warriors and Buddha statues. Maybe I can survive by following him," the female anchor thought rapidly as she walked down the corridor, even if there was only a slim hope, she wanted to try.

Su Huixin really didn’t want to stay in this hellhole anymore, if it weren’t for her former colleagues being too hungry to search for her, she probably would have been defiled and then killed.

"Stop fantasizing, I’m not taking you with me." Tang Zheng was not going to let a woman manipulate him; sure enough, upon hearing this, the female anchor’s body shuddered, she stopped unconsciously but soon resumed her pace.

"I can’t show anxiety, or the negotiation will inevitably be unfavorable to me." Su Huixin took deep breaths, counted sheep, and tried to divert her attention to calm down and analyze the situation quickly.

"Judging by your behavior, there must be other survivors. How many are there? What weapons do they have?" Tang Zheng, out of caution, still asked, "Have they killed anyone?"

"Hmm, there are about thirty, including colleagues from the television station and civilians who escaped in," Su Huixin obviously remembered some unpleasant memories, her face turned pale, but she still insisted on answering, "There’s a crossbow enthusiast store nearby, they found quite a few crossbows and compound bows there, and a few air guns."

"How did you escape?" Tang Zheng was a bit curious, as the other party was well-equipped and consisted of strong men, they could totally overpower the female anchor.

"There was a conflict over the distribution of food, and two men who pursued me protected me," Su Huixin’s face looked somber.

"Dead?" Tang Zheng didn’t see any men, the result was obviously implied.

"One died protecting me, the other betrayed me." The female anchor cried, deeply saddened, if time could turn back, she would definitely choose that man as her husband.

"Have some food, you’ll need the strength to run later." Tang Zheng took a bottle of mineral water and handed it to Su Huixin, "Live well, so his sacrifice for you won’t be in vain."

Su Huixin unscrewed the bottle cap, took a few sips, and then suddenly stopped and looked at Tang Zheng.

"Can you give me a gun?" The female anchor bit her lip, "Don’t hurry to refuse, according to the public’s aesthetics, I am definitely a beauty, if you agree, I’m yours."

For revenge, Su Huixin was determined; she felt that firearms were far superior to crossbows, so she didn’t suggest Tang Zheng to hide, thinking that her colleagues would come over when they heard the noise.

"Hurry up and move, I’ll send out the signal, then consider the rest." Tang Zheng saw Su Huixin standing still and got annoyed, he swung the butt of his rifle, pretending to smash.

The female anchor defiantly held her head high, staring at Tang Zheng.

"If there’s time, I’ll help you avenge," Tang Zheng pushed the female anchor impatiently, even though she was tearful and dirty, her demeanor didn’t lessen.

"You don’t have a chance to refuse, you have food, they will definitely attack you." Su Huixin was wearing only one high-heel, walking uncomfortably high and low, finally, she simply took off the shoes and walked barefoot.

Tang Zheng’s eyes fell on the female anchor’s body, then slid down to her legs. He recalled that one of his roommates back in the day was crazy about her shows, often fantasizing about her, and shamelessly claimed that her legs alone are enough for a man to play all night long.

With the local snake, Tang Zheng operated much quicker; he first went downstairs to start the Diesel Generator, then returned to the Radio Room.

Looking at the control panel in the studio with hundreds of buttons, Tang Zheng was glad he foresight, for without finding Su Huixin, even if he had found this place, he would be clueless.

"Give me the handgun, otherwise I won’t cooperate." Seeing Tang Zheng didn’t understand, Su Huixin pushed her luck and pointed at his leg gun holster.

Although Tang Zheng seemed like a good person for now, she had to consider her future, having a weapon would definitely be safer.

"Hmm, here you go."

Seeing Tang Zheng agree and draw the gun, Su Huixin was thrilled, "And two ammo clips."

The female anchor had just finished speaking when her hair was grabbed, she instinctively tried to scream, but a black gun barrel was shoved into her mouth, hitting her teeth hard.

"I hate being threatened!" Tang Zheng scoffed coldly, "Want to die? That would be too easy for you, how about I break your limbs and strip your clothes, then throw you to those colleagues? I think they definitely won’t refuse to cooperate with me if I have food."
