Chapter 1545 - 7: The Crazy Terracotta Warriors

Chapter 1545: Chapter 7: The Crazy Terracotta Warriors

Despite his youth, Tang Zheng had long shed the inexperience that comes with his age through countless bloody combats. Instead, he had cultivated a resolute and tough aura and a sharp edge honed by too many lives taken.

Tang Zheng’s expression became serious as he glanced at the four women beside An Xiuru, who shivered involuntarily as if cut by the cold winter wind on their skin.

The plump woman’s smile stiffened. The sales assistant was about to say something, but Tang Zheng stared her down, and she immediately shut her mouth, lowering her head, not daring to meet his gaze.

In the eyes of the sales assistant, this guy was nothing short of a thug ready to kill and loot, that kind of look was simply too reckless; she felt that if she said one more word, she would certainly be taken down.

"There’s nothing to see here, forget it!" Tang Zheng shouted to the surroundings, pulled out his wallet, took out five Soft Girl Currency bills, and handed them to the sales assistant.

"No, how can we let you pay for this? It’s their fault to begin with," the plump woman finally came to her senses. She was quite astute and, seeing An Xiuru’s attitude, she surmised there must be a relationship between them, so she didn’t brazenly flirt with him.

The other three women also blamed the sales assistant.

"Just give me face and let the matter go; I’ll treat you to a meal another day." If it weren’t for An Xiuru, he wouldn’t even bother with these trivial matters.

"Let’s not wait for another day, any day might as well be today’s encounter, let it be today, my treat!" The plump woman glared at An Xiuru and said teasingly, "Why so silent? You two couldn’t really have something going on, could you?"

Just as Tang Zheng was about to explain, he heard a series of hurried footsteps rumbling, interspersed with various screams and curses.

Subconsciously everyone looked up, only to see hundreds of guests, like a flock of sheep driven by wild beasts, rushing toward the elevator in the northwest corner.

"What happened?" The sales assistants were shocked as they saw these guests with panic-stricken faces, running blindly and knocking over everything in their path.

"An earthquake? But the building isn’t shaking, is it?" The plump woman was puzzled, but she didn’t have time to find out and turned to leave, "Hurry, let’s get out of here first, it could be a fire for all we know."

"It shouldn’t be a fire; there would be an alarm otherwise." The sales assistant took out her mobile phone, made a phone call with one hand, and quickly tidied up the merchandise with the other.

"Forget the clothes, get out first." The other sales assistants dropped what they were handling and ran toward the elevator.

The guests were all panicked, running with the flow, and the entire floor turned into chaos, like an ant nest doused with boiling water.

"Don’t go, you’ll get crushed." Tang Zheng grabbed An Xiuru, knowing that if too many people crowded into the lower level passage, a stampede might occur, and if there was real trouble, he could just grab An Xiuru and jump out the window to escape.

"If we don’t leave now, we won’t have the chance!" The plump woman urged, but just as she finished speaking, her eyeballs spasmed, and her mouth gaped open like a hippo, staring dumbly at the passage on the right.

Dozens of Terracotta Warriors two meters tall entered in single file, attacking the fleeing guests. Their bodies were burly, their facial expressions as vivid as life, now all in a fierce, wrathful pose.

"Kill!" Accompanied by a sky-shattering roar, the Terracotta Warriors twisted their waists and swung their arms, thrusting their long spears in unison as if they were venomous snakes, piercing through the crowd with the sound of the wind.

Blood, like blooming roses, splattered everywhere, and more than twenty people were impaled instantly, with some spears even piercing through two bodies.

"What is this? Are they filming a movie again?" The plump woman screamed instinctively, then asked.

The others also wore similar expressions of shock and disbelief, as no one would dare to create such a massacre in public.

"Run, don’t just stand there!" Tang Zheng’s eyes hardened as he cursed silently, for with his vision, he could clearly see that these Terracotta Warriors were not disguised humans.

More Terracotta Warriors rushed out from the passage, besides the majority chasing the crowd, several groups also blocked other directions to intercept humans.

These Qin soldiers were entirely made of clay and presented a soil-gray color. Some even had fine cracks on their limbs, resembling carvings left by the passage of time. They were fully armored and sharp, with their lances flashing coldly, and their armor clearly defined by its many overlapping plates.

Caught off-guard by Xu Biyun to try on other swimsuits, Bai Guo was a bit dumbfounded.

These Terracotta Warriors belonging to the Qin Army were so overwhelming and bloody that as the first wave reached the unfortunate ones pierced by the spears, they pulled out the swords at their waists and chopped directly at their necks.

The screams abruptly stopped, heads tumbled, and thick gushes of blood erupted as the Terracotta Warriors grabbed the heads by the hair and tied them to their waists.

The frenzied screaming spread, echoing through the entire mall, terrifying everyone even more into desperate flight.

After more than two thousand years, the cruel and bloodthirsty Qin Army emerged from the pits to once again appear before the world, drenching their martial achievements in the blood of their enemies.

"Run." An Xiuru’s face turned pale as she tugged at Tang Zheng, but sadly, she couldn’t move him.

Bai Guo and Xu Biyun didn’t have time to change into protective clothing, as the Terracotta Warriors had already arrived, throwing their long spears.

If they leaked information about the Trojan Room, they would be executed with a head-exploder, so neither girl released their abilities nor dared to take out weapons to counterattack.

Tang Zheng pulled An Xiuru behind him and grabbed a nearby cargo container as a shield, swinging it with force.

Pff, pff, although the spear was made of stone, it was exceptionally sharp, directly piercing through the cargo container, but it didn’t harm Tang Zheng.

The dozen or so women nearby watched Tang Zheng with a dazed expression, and then glanced at the cargo container in his hands. That thing weighed at least sixty to seventy pounds, yet he wielded it as effortlessly as if it were nothing more than a sheet of paper.

Bang, Tang Zheng discarded the cargo container that had turned into a porcupine, drew out the long spear, and with all his strength, he hurled it.

Sizzling, the long spear carrying the sound of tearing through the wind, nailed itself into the head of the frontmost Terracotta Warrior, the huge inertia carrying it backward, knocking down a combat mate.

"Good!", seeing that even these creatures were not impervious to weapons, Tang Zheng quickly pulled out the long spear and threw them one after another.

At this moment, Tang Zheng seemed to have turned into a burst-firing crossbow, taking out the chasing Terracotta Warriors within a few breaths, leaving a fan-shaped gap.

The people nearby, seeing Tang Zheng’s fierce performance, relaxed a bit and subconsciously ran towards him, but then their hearts tightened again as if grasped by the giant hand of a man-eating ogre.

The Terracotta Warriors that lost their skulls climbed back up again, unaffected in combat, even those whose heart areas had been pierced didn’t die.

A few had their legs broken, yet they still crawled, trying to kill their enemies.

"Run!" Tang Zheng left behind a long spear, turned, and began to flee toward the emergency passage, dragging An Xiuru with him, remembering the rough direction, he could break through the wall and enter.

Tang Zheng no longer had time to ponder why these Terracotta Warriors had appeared, whether it was only the mall that had them, or if the entire city was affected.

Tang Zheng’s strong counterattack also drew the attention of a group of Terracotta Warriors, and a clearly high-ranking one gestured with a hand, and more Terracotta Warriors pounced in this direction.

Tang Zheng was quick, but An Xiuru obviously couldn’t keep up. She stumbled a few steps and almost twisted her ankle.

"I’ll carry you!" Tang Zheng picked up An Xiuru in a princess hold, not daring to put her on his back in case another volley of javelins came, fearing that it would scare Xiu Ru and she might mistake him for using her as a meat shield.

"Wait for us!" The plump woman, seeing Tang Zheng pull away six meters with a few big steps, was so anxious she almost cried out.

An Xiuru craned her neck to look at the Terracotta Warriors behind her, worried about her companions; she wanted Tang Zheng to rescue them but was also afraid of causing him trouble.

No matter what, An Xiuru held tight to Tang Zheng’s clothing, her chest filled with nothing but sweetness; he did not abandon her because of the danger.

"Make a phone call, notify Qin Yan and the others." Tang Zheng couldn’t free his hands, so he had Xu Biyun do it.

"Quick, hide, they are going to shoot arrows!"

An Xiuru’s words hadn’t finished when a powerful roar from the Qin army sounded from behind.

Wind, wind, a strong wind!

Hum, hum, the sound of bowstrings vibrating merged into a tidal wave, nearly bursting eardrums, and a dark mass of arrows fell like a storm, raining down from the sky.

Once again there was chaos, arrows pierced into people’s bodies, destroyed their organs, and brought out a series of screams.

The Gravity Barrier quietly spread out, bouncing all the arrows away, finally protecting the safety of these fifty-odd people.

Tang Zheng found himself in a dilemma; if he broke through the wall, he would inevitably expose his strength. If he did nothing, they could only head towards the elevator or the windows. Frankly, he didn’t want to leave the mall; he needed to understand the origin of these Terracotta Warriors.

Suddenly a group of Terracotta Warriors smashed through the walls, blocking the way ahead, inadvertently solving Tang Zheng’s predicament but also frightening the surrounding people with their shrieks.

The Terracotta Warriors, as cold as blocks of solid ice, thrust their spears into the chests of humans. Seeing that others were not able to draw their weapons in time and were about to escape, they released their spears and lunged forward with stone swords in the style of bronze swords, chopping off heads and leaving a trail of headless corpses.

Tang Zheng set down An Xiuru, dodged a hack, then landed a full-powered knee strike in the belly of a Terracotta Warrior.

Bang, the abdomen of the Terracotta Warrior burst open, revealing a large hole, but this did not affect its combat at all. However, the next second, its legs at the knees were kicked to pieces.

"Tough." Tang Zheng swung the Terracotta Warrior around, using it as a wolf-tooth club to hit others. These creatures without a weak point were the hardest to deal with; only by completely smashing their bodies could they be eradicated.

"No!" An Xiuru’s scream was in vain; the Terracotta Warrior’s sword decapitated three of her friends. Only the plump woman was smart enough to stay close to Tang Zheng, managing to survive the catastrophe.

Watching the Terracotta Warriors tie the heads of her friends to their waists, the severed necks continually dripping with fresh blood, the plump woman lost control of her bladder, desperately clutching Tang Zheng like a drowning person grasping for their last straw, refusing to let go.

As Tang Zheng fought off the soldiers, his movements were too fierce for the plump woman to hold on to, and she was thrown off, lying on the ground with scraped knees.

More Terracotta Warriors poured out of the breach, blocking the path of retreat. The people rushing toward the elevator pushed against each other and then retreated backward, a squad of Qin soldiers appeared down below, attacking from both sides, wrapping them up like filling in a dumpling.
