Chapter 1520: Chapter 108: The Mysterious Knight

Xu Liangmao, who was heavily damaged, was recuperating in the Pumpkin Carriage and unable to fight. His points ranked at the very bottom, while Shen Qingshuang’s role was a support type, with too weak combat power, ranking just slightly higher than Li Huiwen.

Tao Ran and Dong Zixuan, with their excellent abilities, were particularly suited for Team Battles, barely securing the eleventh and twelfth places.

"What to do, what to do?" Li Huiwen muttered to herself in a state of shock, then, upon seeing Tang Zheng, she rushed towards him as if she had found a savior, "Group Leader, you must help Liang Mao and me!"

"Don’t worry, if it came to a purge punishment, you would have been killed already," Tang Zheng could only offer a few comforting words to Li Huiwen; he wasn’t sure himself.

"I don’t want to die!" Li Huiwen cried, holding onto Tang Zheng’s arm, deeply sorrowful, recalling the last time someone had been executed via a head-exploder in a bloody scene.

Shen Qingshuang took his eyes off the Virtual Screen and sighed before shrugging his shoulders, remaining calm as death loomed near.

The five teams with rankings too low were also looking pale, various strategies running through their minds in an instant. They even considered killing the higher-ranked contenders before the execution of the purge, hoping for a slim chance of survival.

When gunshots suddenly erupted, a few of the Conquerors unleashed their skills toward the team ranked sixth from the bottom in a desperate gamble, treating a dying horse as if it were still alive.

Natasha and Emily did not intervene, observing coldly from the sidelines.

The Trojan Squad had too many members to be killed off in one go, and given that Tang Zheng, favored by Bingxu and Vasily, was in their team, even though there were plenty of weak links, no one dared to provoke trouble.

This was a life-and-death gladiator battle; within a minute, three corpses fell, and as the combat spread, more died.

"This is the brutality of the Trojan Horse Game!" Vasily sighed, powerless, then clenched his fist, "Just wait, I will clear the Holy Land and dismantle the Trojan Horse!"

"All survivors, please note, those you have killed are not the final BOSS of the mitochondria. Please proceed to Tokyo Babylon within a week and annihilate it, or face purge punishment!"

"As the number of participants has decreased, this purge punishment is now lifted. Please fight with all your might for the sake of your survival!"

The gentle voice of the Red Trojan Horse Game suddenly broke the quiet, shocking everyone with its announcement. Their expressions turned ugly—the cruelty of the recent combat had chilled their bravery, and yet this wasn’t even the final BOSS!

"Why didn’t you say that earlier?" A man who lost his lover asked tearfully, blaming the Trojan Horse.

"Sorry, we have just regained control of the Manhattan area," replied the Red Trojan Horse Game, which was relatively kind. Had it been the Silver Trojan, they would have spat in his face for such a question.

Li Huiwen breathed a sigh of relief, collapsed on the floor, and then realized that her pants were soaked through.

"Is there support? You’re not just sending us into combat blind, are you?" Dantai always felt that the Trojan was hiding some information.

"Of course, there is. A total of five hundred Trojan Squad members have already gone ahead to Babylon. Stop talking and set off quickly. A friendly reminder, don’t take an airplane." The Silver Trojan suddenly interrupted, urging people, "An Aircraft Carrier fleet is entering New York Harbor, you can take it to Tokyo."

The announcement ended, and no matter how the survivors called out, the Trojan Horse did not respond.

"To New York Harbor!" Emily decisively ordered and pulled out an Airborne Gunship.

The survivors had no choice but to comply, driving various flying vehicles, flying over the Harbor, and seeing the massive fleet, they received warnings and deterrence shooting from the others.

Fighter aircraft from the Aircraft Carrier rose into the air in a serious posture.

The survivors, furious, didn’t even wait for Emily to negotiate with them, directly blowing up all the fighter aircraft, and as the Destroyer’s gunfire just targeted their side, a Positive Electron Siege Cannon turned it into a mound of scrap metal and sank into the Harbor.

At that moment, it was like Doomsday!

Without the Conquerors to back them up, the native military forces, even if strong enough to crush a small Middle Eastern country, appeared as weak as ants in front of Emily’s group of fewer than three hundred people.

Without any combat, in the negotiation process, Emily and Natasha directly took control of the opposition’s military and political officers, ordering all Soldiers to evacuate the Aircraft Carrier.

"This thing requires thousands of people to operate, doesn’t it?" Standing on the empty Deck, Sha Ou curiously looked at the Bridge, "Where is the catapult system? Let the American soldiers launch a few Aircraft for us to enjoy!"

"We have Makarov, that’s enough," Zhu Kefu found Tang Zheng, and with a thumb gesture, beckoned, "Come on, uncle invites you for a drink!"

There were many people on the Deck, all envious of Tang Zheng upon hearing the invitation from the Blonde Handsome Guy.

"No thanks, I still have things to do." Tang Zheng didn’t want to separate from the Team Members at the moment and also needed to rest and heal, "Tell uncle I’ll treat him to a drink tomorrow."

Makarov entered the Bridge, retrieved the expansion command, smashed it hard onto the console; the metal melted as the command embedded itself, and then a blue electric arc surged, spreading throughout the Bridge and then throughout the ship.

The screen displayed various data, Makarov browsed through it, his hands moving rapidly, and five minutes later, the Aircraft Carrier started moving, sailing out of the Harbor.

"Attention all aboard, to help everyone fall asleep quickly, we will now play a lullaby," Zhu Kefu stayed in the Bridge, holding the Sound Pickup, suddenly playing a hip-hop tune and even improvising a rap.

"How about that? Not worse than a black man, right?" Zhu Kefu tried to strike up a conversation with Makarov, only to be ignored.

Even though there had been temporary collaborations, there was still no trust among the Conquerors. They lived far apart, with people arranged for night watch duty.

Shen Qingshuang knew she was not powerful and couldn’t be of much help in team battles, so she took the initiative to stand guard for the night, positioning mechanical Hornets all around.

The Aircraft Carrier that could station nearly four thousand soldiers naturally had no issues with accommodation. Tang Zheng didn’t have to lift a finger, as Lu Fan had already chosen a luxurious room for him, one that probably belonged to some high-ranking officer previously.

"Rest assured, no one will attack you here." Little Lolita saw Tang Zheng’s caution. After all, such a room was usually where prime assassination targets stayed, but she didn’t allow him to change rooms. She dashed into the corridor, and with a bang, the hatch was closed.

Tang Zheng looked around the cabin and picked up a notebook that was on the table, flipping through it arbitrarily. Even though the sheets were clean, he still took out a sleeping bag.

As he lay down, Tang Zheng felt something under the bedding. Reaching in, he pulled out a stack of Playboy magazines, with ~busty~ and ~curvy~ naked women on the cover that were quite eye-catching.

Bang, the hatch opened, and Dong Zixuan, dragging Tao Ran along with an informal demeanor, appeared. Seeing the scene, she froze, and Black Long Straight’s cheeks flushed red instantly.

"Sorry, you go ahead," Dong Zixuan said, sneaking a glance at Tang Zheng’s pants before pulling Black Long Straight away.

"I told you Uncle needs rest and shouldn’t be disturbed."

Lu Fan’s crisp childlike voice echoed from outside the hatch, blaming the policewoman. She wanted to be a butler, not allowing anyone to disturb Uncle’s sleep.

"What are you so busy with?" Tang Zheng’s face darkened like ink, and Tao Ran blushed, clearly having misunderstood him.

"Tang Zheng, hurry up, is three minutes enough? I have something to say to you," Dong Zixuan obviously had no intention of leaving.

"Get lost!" Tang Zheng strained not to shout out the word. If he hadn’t been worried about ruining his image in Black Long Straight’s eyes, he definitely wouldn’t have given the policewoman a pleasant look.

"Come in then!"

"That quick?" Dong Zixuan squeezed into the cabin, looking around the floor as if searching for tissues. Then her gaze landed on Tang Zheng’s face, "You have injuries, be mindful of moderation."

"What is it? Spit it out," Tang Zheng felt like he was about to cough up blood in frustration, wishing he could bite Dong Zixuan to death.

"This time, thank you. Also, we want to ask if there’s any way to accelerate popping the seed?" The policewoman had a good relationship with Tao Ran and had brought her along to foster connection; she could see that Black Long Straight liked Tang Zheng.

"Go ask Qin Yan or Xin Lan. Is such a trivial matter worth bothering Tang Zheng?" Pang Meiqin leaned against the door, looking displeased with the two women.

Dong Zixuan wanted to say something else but was interrupted by the Beautiful Leg Stewardess.

"Are you not leaving yet? Can’t you see Tang Zheng needs to rest?" Pang Meiqin glared at the policewoman. "Or do you have other plans?"

Dong Zixuan had her pride. She was about to argue, but that comment made her hold back. She didn’t want to be misunderstood, and with Tao Ran pulling her to leave persistently, she gave up.

"Meiqin, you go rest too, I’m tired," Tang Zheng had a headache and truly didn’t want to deal with them.

"Alright, take care of yourself," Pang Meiqin sighed and left, knowing that Tang Zheng didn’t have much affection for her.

"Uncle, I’m just next door oh, if you get bored, you can come and have a heart-to-heart with me!" Lu Fan’s little head peeked through the hatch; seeing Tang Zheng’s sour expression, she stuck out her tongue and ran away.

Beneath the star-studded night sky, the Aircraft Carrier sped across the ocean, churning up waves that surged like immaculate white lotuses.

A ripple occurs in the space, and a knight draped in a black cloak wielding a huge sword appears on the deck, vanishes, and then reappears in the corridor.

"This should be the place, no mistake," the knight glanced at the cabin hatch and teleported inside.

Boom, the Gravity Abyss enveloped the cabin in an instant, and Tang Zheng darted out like lightning, attacking the uninvited guest.

"Young man, don’t be impulsive." The knight was hardly constrained, instantly moving behind Tang Zheng.

"Who are you?" Tang Zheng frowned.

"You may call me Xiu, Herde Xiu Isolde," said the knight, with face armor that concealed his features, "I mean no harm, just a passerby."

Tang Zheng didn’t respond, assessing the stranger’s strength.

"I’ve always been intrigued by your performance. As someone inherently good at heart, you should just go with what you think is right. You’re essentially proving that miracles exist. I’m quite curious to see to what extent you can go, and I’m watching."

"Psycho!" Tang Zheng despised such nonsensical matters, "Been watching too much anime, have you?"

"Heh, I’ve got another candidate to check on, we’ll talk another time." Xiu wasn’t bothered and teleported away, appearing in Tao Ran’s room. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it on Qidian, your support is my greatest motivation.)
