Chapter 53: The War Goddess: Level 1 Test

Above him, the roof which was high and spacious, was slowly changing into a sky, with a clear blue sky and fluffy white clouds.

The walls, which were smooth and metallic, were transforming into rough rocks, and tall trees.

And, the ground, which was cold and hard, was becoming more and more realistic.

Thin, light green grass, and small wild flowers, began to appear, and the smell of the soil began to fill the air.

The atmosphere, was now warm and gentle.

It was a beautiful sight, and the scene was breathtaking.

It didn’t even feel like the place was inside a building.

And, when everything was complete, the robotic voice spoke again.

{Initiating Level 1 test}

Rael, who was now standing in the middle of a vast plain, was surrounded by thick trees, and small shrubs.

He could hear the sound of birds chirping, and the wind blowing, alongside some weird noises.

"Grrrr,"

Deep growls, and guttural roars, were coming from every direction.

They were faint, and distant, but, they were audible.

{You will face 10 enemies, please, proceed to eliminate them}

And, just as the robotic voice announced that, some bushes near Rael started to move.

The shrubbery rustled, and the leaves trembled.

Something was coming out of the thicket, and the sounds were getting louder.

"Grrr,"

Goblins, three goblins, were crawling out of the thick foliage, and their eyes were filled with bloodlust.

They were ugly, and their skin was green.

They had crooked noses, and their ears were pointy.

They were around 3 feet tall, and they were wearing rags, which was their clothes.

"Grrrr,"

Some more goblins appeared from behind, and they were armed with wooden clubs.

Now, there were ten goblins, and they were surrounding Rael.

Their numbers had increased, and they were closing in on the young man.

{Time remaining 10 minutes, please, proceed to eliminate the enemies}

The robotic voice, once again, spoke, and its tone was emotionless.

It was begging Rael to start moving, and fight.

But, the young man was just standing still, and he was not moving.

His expression was calm, and his posture was relaxed.

He was just looking at the goblins, and his gaze was sharp.

"GRAAAARRR!"

One of the goblins, roared, and dashed towards Rael, who was still not moving.

It swung its club, and its eyes were filled with rage.

But, before it could reach Rael, the young man moved.

He sidestepped the charging goblin, and avoided its attack.

And, as the goblin passed him, he extended his arm and grabbed its head.

"Grrr?"

The goblin was shocked, and it could not comprehend what was happening.

It felt something grab its head, and it was suddenly lifted up from the ground.

It was struggling, and it was trying to break free.

But, before it could do anything, Rael threw him at the other charging goblin that had already gotten too close to him.

Both goblins collided with each other, and they were sent flying.

And, as the two goblins fell to the ground, another group of goblins charged towards Rael.

"GRAARR!"

One of them leaped into the air, and aimed its club at the young man’s head.

Rael, without even looking, grabbed the goblin by its arm and lifted it in the air.

He then swung it with all his strength, and smashed the goblin against the ground.

The goblin’s body was broken, and its bones were crushed.

"GAAAHHHH!"

The goblin screamed in agony, and its body was twitching.

Rael didn’t pay any attention to it, and he continued to fight.

He moved forward, and punched the goblin in front of him, knocking it back.

The goblin was stunned, and it fell down.

"GRAAAR!"

Another goblin jumped at Rael, and it aimed its club at his head.

But, before the goblin could land its attack, the young man ducked, and evaded the blow.

Then, he punched the goblin in its abdomen, and it collapsed.

"GAAHHH!"

The goblin let out a pained scream, and it was writhing on the ground.

However, Rael, ignored the goblin, and kept attacking with its punches and kicks.

He was unleashing a barrage of blows, and the goblins were unable to retaliate.

The goblins, who were surrounding Rael, were overwhelmed by the young man’s assault, and they could not defend themselves.

As the attacks continued, the goblins’ bodies were being beaten and battered.

The goblins were trying their best to fight back, but, they could not get any hits in.

They were being overpowered, and they were losing the battle.

One by one, the goblins were being incapacitated, and their numbers were dwindling.

After a few more blows, the remaining goblins, had been knocked unconscious, and were sprawled out on the ground.

At this point, all the goblins, had already been defeated, and Rael, was standing in the middle of the clearing, victorious.

{Level 1 test, complete}

The robotic voice, once again, sounded, and its tone was satisfied.

{Time remaining 8 minutes. You have completed 100% of the test}

{Calculating score, please, wait a moment}

A long silence followed, and the only sounds were the rustling leaves, and the gentle breeze.

And, after a while, the robotic voice, spoke once again.

{Calculated score, 87 points. Congratulations}

{The points surpasses the standard score of 75, you have passed the test}

The robotic voice announced the results, and its tone was pleased.

Rael, had aced the test, and he had obtained a perfect score.

And as soon as the robotic voice declared the score, the scenery began to change.

The sky, and the grass, vanished, and the rocky walls, reappeared.

The plain, disappeared, and the metallic ground, was restored.

The illusion was gone, and the room, was back to its original state.

{You have successfully cleared the level 1 test, thank you for your participation}

And, the robotic voice, thanked Rael, and bid him farewell.

After the voice was done talking, the intercom turned off, and silence filled the room.

"Congrats, you passed the test with flying colors,"

The girl, who was standing beside the door, congratulated Rael.

Now, we will have to test your magical capabilities, please, come with me,"

She told him, and she gestured him to follow her.

Rael, nodded his head, and he obeyed.

And, after that, the girl led him, to another room, where his next test was about to begin.

The second test was similar to the first test, except, the enemies were not goblins, instead, this time he would have to fight against a player.

And, unlike the first test, this test was not a simulation, instead, this time, he would have to fight a real player.

"This time you will fight a real human whose name is Zed, and he is an A-Class player. He will be your opponent, so, please, give it your best shot,"
