Immortal Venerable's Order
Chapter 122: Be My Apprentice

Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Be My Apprentice

"Stop wasting time, tell me who you are!" Yan Rufeng demanded sternly.

"Boy, if you don’t speak properly, believe me, you’ll disappear from this world immediately," the old voice threatened angrily.

"I don’t believe you!" Yan Rufeng replied firmly.

"Ugh."

"You win," the old voice said helplessly.

"What?"

Yan Rufeng was puzzled, "Is that all it takes to win?"

"Boy, to be honest with you, despite your arrogance and offending me, I quite like you, so I’ll forgive you," the old voice responded.

"Like me?"

Yan Rufeng pointed at himself and secretly laughed, then said, "Sir, that’s too cheesy, I don’t like you."

"Haha..."

"Sir?"

"I’m not your sir!" the old voice replied.

"Then tell me, who are you?" Yan Rufeng asked.

"Boy, walk a hundred steps forward, there you’ll find the entrance to an underground palace, step inside and you’ll know."

"Why should I just go because you told me to? How do I know you’re not tricking me?" Yan Rufeng didn’t move.

"Hehe..."

The old voice laughed triumphantly, "The Immortal Venerable Yan Rufeng who once roamed the Ten Thousand Great Realms, actually has moments of fear. How surprising!"

Yan Rufeng was taken aback, "How do you know about me? Who exactly are you?"

"How do I know? I told you, enter the underground palace and you’ll find out."

Yan Rufeng was still hesitant, but also very curious about how someone on Earth could know about his past as an Immortal Venerable.

Yan Rufeng moved and walked towards the underground palace.

Upon reaching the entrance of the underground palace, Yan Rufeng opened his mouth wide in shock, "This is too much, the stairs of the underground palace are actually made of Purple Crystals."

Yan Rufeng stepped down, and by the time he reached the interior of the underground palace, his astonishment had turned into excitement.

The floor was paved with Ten-thousand-year-old Mysterious Ice Cold Jade!

The walls were constructed with Star Cores!

"Whoa."

"That glowing lamp, is that indeed a Primordial Treasure?"

Yan Rufeng exclaimed.

"That’s not a lamp," the old voice sounded again.

"Then what is it?" Yan Rufeng asked.

"It’s the light emitted by my Creation Jade Disc."

"What?"

"Creation Jade Disc?" Yan Rufeng said in astonishment.

The Creation Jade Disc recorded panoramic information of different cosmic regions. It included the specific locations of the three thousand Great Realms, even the Ten Thousand Great Realms where Yan Rufeng’s previous life resided was clearly documented in it.

Legend has it, the Creation Jade Butterfly belonged to Daoist Master Hong Jun, who comprehended secrets beyond the world and the Heavenly Dao through the various evolutions on the Creation Jade Disc, ultimately achieving the supreme Dao.

"How can there be an item of Daoist Master Hong Jun here?" Yan Rufeng muttered to himself.

"Boy, I told you it’s my item, didn’t you hear me?" the old voice echoed in Yan Rufeng’s ear again.

"Yours? How can that be? This belongs to Daoist Master Hong Jun," Yan Rufeng retorted.

"Hehe!"

"What’s his is mine, and what’s mine is his."

"What?"

Yan Rufeng was taken aback, "Are you saying you’re Daoist Master Hong Jun?"

"No one in this world would dare to impersonate me, Hong Jun!" Daoist Master Hong Jun replied.

"Haha..."

Yan Rufeng laughed.

"Boy, why are you laughing?" Hong Jun asked.

"I, Yan Rufeng, have ventured through countless Secret Realms, each time narrowly escaping death, and now on Earth, I’ve encountered the legendary Dao Ancestor. My luck has finally turned," Yan Rufeng said.

"Haha..."

Hong Jun laughed heartily, "Boy, you indeed have quite the luck."

By this time, Yan Rufeng had already reached the pedestal where the Creation Jade Disc was placed. As he was about to reach for the disc, he heard Hong Jun sternly say, "Boy, you’d better not touch anything here."

"I just wanted to take a look, nothing else," Yan Rufeng withdrew his hand, eyeing the glowing Creation Jade Disc greedily.

"Haha..."

Hong Jun said, "Don’t you want to take the Creation Jade Disc for yourself?"

Yan Rufeng replied immediately, "Although the Creation Jade Disc is a supreme treasure, it is currently useless to me."

"Hehe!"

Hong Jun sneered, "Boy, without the guidance of the Creation Jade Disc, you cannot return to the Ten Thousand Great Realms."

"What?"

Yan Rufeng cried out in his heart, "If that’s the case, how can I take revenge, how can I find the reincarnated Mumu..."

Hong Jun said triumphantly, "Boy, do you still think the Creation Jade Disc is useless?"

"Dao Ancestor, hearing you say it like that, I, Yan Rufeng, must obtain the Creation Jade Disc," Yan Rufeng said.

"Haha..."

"No need to go through so much trouble, everything here is yours," Hong Jun said with a smile.

"Mine?"

Yan Rufeng asked in disbelief.

"That’s right, all of it, including the world within this Secret Realm, is yours," Hong Jun said.

"Haha..."

Yan Rufeng laughed, "Dao Ancestor, you must be joking."

Hong Jun said, "I’m serious."

"Dao Ancestor, what do you want me, Yan Rufeng, to do?" Yan Rufeng asked.

"Haha..."

Hong Jun laughed, "Yan Rufeng, when I, Hong Jun, give something, do I need any requests?"

"Of course, otherwise who would give away such good treasures?" Yan Rufeng replied.

"Hehe."

Hong Jun sneered, "That’s what I admire about you."

"Dao Ancestor, there must be more to it," Yan Rufeng said calmly.

"Hehe..."

"I didn’t expect you to figure it out."

Hong Jun continued, "Boy, if you weren’t a Hongmeng Saint Body, no matter how smart you are, it would be useless."

"Uh..."

Yan Rufeng’s face twitched, "So I’m a Hongmeng Saint Body, no wonder I’ve always felt different from others, turns out it’s because of my unique power."

"Stop being narcissistic," Hong Jun said angrily.

"Hehe..."

Yan Rufeng laughed, "Dao Ancestor, what exactly do you want me to do to obtain the Creation Jade Disc?"

"Become my disciple!"

"Uh..."

"Just that simple?" Yan Rufeng asked suspiciously.

"It’s just that simple," Hong Jun replied.

"Dao Ancestor, becoming a disciple requires kneeling and bowing, but you don’t show yourself, how can I formally become your disciple?" Yan Rufeng asked.

"Haha..."

"Just walk to the end of the palace and you’ll see me," Hong Jun replied.

"Uh, haven’t even formally become a disciple yet and already calling me your disciple..." Yan Rufeng muttered under his breath.

"What did you say, boy?" Hong Jun said angrily.

"Nothing, nothing. I’m coming to formally become your disciple."

Yan Rufeng jogged all the way to the end of the palace, drenched in sweat and panting heavily.

"Dao Ancestor, I’m here," Yan Rufeng gasped.

"Now that you’re here, kneel down and formally become my disciple."

Yan Rufeng looked around but couldn’t see Hong Jun’s figure.

"Dao Ancestor, where are you? Isn’t this making it difficult for me?" Yan Rufeng complained.

At that moment, a flash of light appeared, and an elder in a purple robe stood before Yan Rufeng, though the elder was only a phantom.

"Are you the Dao Ancestor?" Yan Rufeng asked.

"Haha..."

"Good disciple, shouldn’t you call me Master now?"

"Disciple pays respects to Master."

Yan Rufeng kneeled before Hong Jun’s phantom and kowtowed three times.

Hong Jun stroked his beard, satisfied, and said with a smile, "Rufeng, my disciple, rise up."
