Although she was curious, Zhu Lin didn’t ask any questions. While they were eating, she was busy feeding Tu Tu. Seeing how much the little rabbit could eat, Ji Yang said, "Tu Tu must be a mutant too."

As soon as these words came out, Tu Tu felt offended and became angry. Without thinking, the rabbit slapped Ji Yang’s arm with its fluffy paw and blurted out: "You are a mutant! Your whole family is a mutant!"

After the rabbit finished cursing, the living room fell into silence, followed by the clattering sound of chopsticks falling on the table. After a long silence, Tan Wei pointed at the rabbit with a trembling finger and said in disbelief, "The rabbit was talking just now!"

Tu Tu knew that it messed up just now, so it quickly covered its petal-like mouth and hurriedly sneaked into Zhu Lin’s sleeve. Ji Yang looked at Tu Tu’s behavior, then looked at Zhu Lin and asked, "Xiao Lin, can Tu Tu really talk?"

Zhu Lin finished her vegetable soup, put down the empty bowl, and said calmly: "Yes."

Xiu Wu, who was sitting next to her, also finished his meal. Seeing that he was very calm, Tan Wei looked at him and said, "Lao Xiu, you don’t seem surprised that Tu Tu can talk."

Xiu Wu picked up the dirty dishes from the table, stood up and walked to the kitchen. When he came back with two glasses of water, he said, "I knew from the beginning that Tu Tu was not a simple mutant rabbit. It was too smart and sometimes behaved more like humans. Besides, with Xiao Lin as its master, Tu Tu should be special."

After hearing what he said, Tu Tu poked its little head out of Zhu Lin’s wide sleeves. Tu Tu looked at Xiu Wu for a while and said, "You are still as smart as always."

Listening to Tu Tu’s words, Xiu Wu thought for a few second and said, "As always? You speak as if you have known me for a long time."

He paused for a moment, looked at Tu Tu and asked, "Have we really known each other before?"

The rabbit realized that it had made a mistake again, so it pretended to be dead and hid inside Zhu Lin’s sleeve. While Tan Wei and Ji Yang were still processing the shocking fact that Tu Tu could speak, Xiu Wu looked thoughtfully at the small bulge on Zhu Lin’s sleeves. It took Ji Yang and Tan Wei more than twenty minutes to accept that there are indeed a lot of unexplainable things in this world.

After they finished their late breakfast, Tan Wei looked at Tu Tu who was sitting on the clean table and asked curiously: "Tu Tu, how old are you? Judging from your size and cute voice, you must be about one or two years old, right?"

Tu Tu looked at Tan Wei, shook its head and said, "Even though I’m still a baby amongst the Jade Rabbits, I’m already older than that. This year, I’m already three thousand five hundred and forty-seven years old."

As soon as Tu Tu said that, the living room fell into silence again. Tan Wei trembly pointed at Zhu Lin who was busy growing seeds and asked, "... Then... How old is your master?"

Tu Tu glanced at its master and saw that she didn’t care, so it looked back at Tan Wei and calmly answered, "This year, my master is already twenty-three thousand seven hundred and ninety-one years old. But among the other gods, she was still a child."

Before Tan Wei could clarify Tu Tu’s answer about Zhu Lin being a god, Xiu Wu came out of the kitchen and overheard their conversation. Too surprised, he loses his grip on the fruit bowl.

Crash!

When the sound of the bowl falling to the floor sounded in the living room, everyone turned their heads and looked in the direction of the kitchen. There were fragments of ceramics scattered on the floor around his feet, while Xiu Wu froze in place and stared at Zhu Lin in silence.

Looking at his stiff expression, Zhu Lin said calmly: "You three are still babies in my eyes."

If Tu Tu’s revelation of Zhu Lin’s age was earth-shattering news, then Zhu Lin’s words at this moment were simply a thunderbolt in daylight for Xiu Wu. He pressed the bridge of his nose, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath to calm himself down. After a while, he staggered towards the door.

Looking at the door closed behind him, Zhu Lin turned to look at Ji Yang and Tan Wei, and asked, "What’s wrong with him? Is he alright?"

Worried about Xiu Wu, Ji Yang and Tan Wei quickly stood up and chased after him. Before closing the door, Ji Yang smiled at Zhu Lin and said, "Xiao Lin, see you later."

After saying that, he closed the door, and Zhu Lin heard their footsteps fading away. She looked at the closed door in confusion, then looked at Tu Tu, and asked, "What happened to the three of them?"

Tu Tu thought for a moment and said, "Maybe they need time to calm down."

Hearing what Tu Tu said, Zhu Lin thought for a while and said, "Well, it must be difficult for them to accept that you can talk."

After saying that, she continued growing seeds. While the master and the rabbit were busy working, Tan Wei and Ji Yang sat on the floor in Xiu Wu’s living room. Since there was no temperature controlling formation in Xiu Wu’s apartment, the three of them were all wearing their ice silk cloaks.

Tan Wei looked at Xiu Wu’s dazed look and nudged Ji Yang, gesturing for him to speak. Leaving with no choice, Ji Yang coughed lightly and asked, "Lao Xiu, are you alright?"

They waited for a few minutes, but Xiu Wu remained silent. When he didn’t get any reply, Ji Yang motioned for Tan Wei to speak.
