After hearing what Zheng Yimu’s said, Xiu Wu exchanged looks with his two friends. He thought for a moment, stood up, and walked towards the door. He looked at Zheng Yimu and asked calmly, "Does Captain Zheng have any experience in forging armor or weapons?"

Zheng Yimu nodded and said, "I work in the support division because my previous work in the army was weapons manufacturing. Also, after the end of the world, I awakened the ability of metal elements. If Captain Xiu is willing to give me a chance, I can try to forge a weapon or armor for you."

Contrary to Zheng Yimu’s expectation, when Xiu Wu heard that his qualifications were too good, he narrowed his eyes and asked coldly, "What is Captain Zheng’s reason for applying for this job? As one of the captains of the support division, you didn’t lack anything. You have no reason to come here and apply for this job."

"Can Captain Zheng tell me your reason now?"

In the past, Zheng Yimu heard some rumors about Xiu Wu’s cold personality and ruthless behavior. When they met yesterday, he thought that these rumors were all false. But seeing him again today, Zheng Yimu came to the conclusion that Xiu Wu was only gentle and warm towards Zhu Lin.

After observing them for a while, Zheng Yimu looked at the three men in front of him and said, "Before I tell you my reason, can I take a look at the materials first?"

Xiu Wu thought for a while, then nodded to Ji Yang. With his permission, Ji Yang took out the skin, horns and fangs of the giant snake from his space. Putting those materials on the floor, Ji Yang said, "These are the materials. Captain Zheng can take a look at them at ease."

Zheng Yimu reached out and took the giant snake’s skin and examined it carefully. Then he put down the skin and examined the horns and fangs. After a while, he looked at them and said, "I came here to see what kind of materials Captain Xiu has."

"I don’t think that Captain Zheng came here only to see the materials." Xiu Wu said calmly.

Zheng Yimu nodded and said, "Captain Xiu is right. As we all know, less than two percent of the soldiers in this base manage to successfully awaken their abilities.
