Chapter 191: Distribution Day!!
Arc 3, Chapter 191—Distribution Day!!
.
.
It’s always the same isn’t it... them being led to somewhere else.
These days have been slow-passing in Levon’s eyes. With his Lollipop dangling in his mouth, he calmly made his way towards the familiar sites he and many others had observed.
What? Did you think they did nothing but child’s play these days?—think again!!
The only information Clara gave them was the day Distribution would hold. So it was up to them to find their way back to District 57 on that day.
Although they could choose to use the same way we returned last time, that journey might take too long to do... Clara had said we had to arrive within a day at most. This only meant one thing—that there must be a faster way of getting to and fro District 57 from their current location.
Smart people knew how to use their brains to find out what they needed to. Even the slow witted ones perched out throughout the day, watching and secretly following the Bloodrens 10s, 9s, and 8s, to see how they go back and forth.
Of course one would get better luck following a Bloodren 10, because the other Bloodren groups were just too fast and too strong to keep up with.
They had to admit that in times such as these, unity sometimes pays off.
Levon rubbed his elbow when thinking of how a majority of string teams had gotten together to share and discuss their findings. They found that there are 3 main ways of getting to District 57 from here. But which way was the fastest, was something they speculated greatly on.
Perhaps someone might think it’s better to pay attention to how fast those who left returned, but this would be too whimsical.
You never know if those heading for District 57 are going out for missions. For all you know, they might be gone for weeks and months. So wouldn’t it be stupid to depend on the time taken for these Bloodren 10s, 9s, or 8s, to return?
In the end, they had to project that perhaps the faster ride must be the most popular one.
With that, the gang rose to their feet and prepared to beat the traffic before it was too late.
—Distribution Day!
Vmmmm~
The train’s whistled too fast, even faster than a supersonic bullet train. They couldn’t see any images through the windows or glass doors.
The train they had taken now looked more similar to public transport trains, with some seats available, and some standing hooped-belt support for them to grab onto. It was intense, and possibly jarring how fast they were going. You know it’s terrible when there are seat belts in a public transportation bus.
Levon’s heart lurched unnaturally, as the sensation of speed fueled his being with adrenaline.
"Buddy, I think I’m gonna throw up!" Shugo felt his stomach disagree with the speed, a situation he had never faced before.
Perhaps when dangling on Winhest’s shard sometime back and going at such speeds, no one was feeling queasy because they were outsiders in a life and death situation. But now when comfortably seated or standing in a confined space with so many strangers and people, Shugo felt uncomfortable.
His gut was churning and his face was getting green. It wasn’t just him who felt this way, but even Levon felt his face growing ashen. He wanted nothing more than to leave this train and walk on his own 2 feet.
Every other Bloodren 10, considered Newbies, felt the sneak. Even Hendrix pushed his glasses in and closed his eyes in meditation to calm himself.
Florianna, who usually had a relaxed sleepy face, was now scrunching her brows so much they looked like Giant Tick-signs.
Payne Ignier, Yimu, Rita, Viren, Batista, and many others didn’t look happy. They looked like someone owed them a million bucks!
Hehehehehehhe~
The taunting of others soon echoed through their ears.
"Oh? Would you look at that~... There they are, our very own Newbie celebrities of our Bloodren 10 group. I heard they did phenomenal during their Phase 1 competitions in the arena.... But what’s this? Can’t handle a little sonic boom of speed?"
"Pfft... wastes! I said it long ago that they were too hyped. I can bet my balls that these showoffs won’t last a day in the Observatory."
"Hah! If they can’t handle this much speed, then how the hell do you expect them to last down there?"
"Hmph! All I know is that on my first train ride, I wasn’t as bad as these Newbies!!!"
Many old 10s and other Bloodren groups taunted endlessly. Of course, many were simply lying through their anus when talking about their first train rides on this sonic express.
Some had fallen like epileptic patients, having seizures and puking at the same time before the ride came to a halt. Others were in even worse states than that. The first few rides will always be a doozy. But once they get the hang of it, it becomes a breeze.
None of the Newbie said a word in retort. They only focused on maintaining their sanity as the train sped on.
[Next Stop, District 189.]
A voice bellowed from within after 2 hours of travel. And soon, the train passed through a tunnel and came to halt before a District that had walls that seemed to be made of glass.
The walls shot up to the skies, and should no doubt be thicker too. Through the glass walls, they could see straw huts, lumber cottages, and simple structures one might find in medieval times.
There were over 5000 of such structures. It seemed like a little village trapped in time.
’So this is District 189, huh?’ Levon took note of its uniqueness and the imposing people he spotted from the distance.
Some people in other cabins also got off, but none from their train cabin. No doubt those who got off must be slayers or too Bloodrens.
In the end, what exactly goes on in District 189?
Shrp~
The train’s doors closed without warning.
If they accidentally stepped out to take a deeper look, thinking the train’s voice would remind you when it’s going... sorry... you’ll have to wait for the next available ride.
...
Like so, the journey went by at snail-pass in Levon’s heart. He just couldn’t stand the feeling his gut was under and wanted to just arrive already!!
From District 189, they headed for district 310, to district 246, and finally, District 57!!!
Woooo~
Everyone had no tears but wanted to cry and kiss the ground till their lips turned chapped!!!
Don’t say anything more!—do you know how terrible that ride has been for their body?
Blugh~
Shugo shot out of the train and puked till he felt his intestines were about to come out.
Oh my God, it wasn’t just him who puked, but even Yimu, Artilla, Leo, and everyone else... including Levon, joined the puke festival.
"I swear I feel like I’ve lost a few pounds here." Shugo was sweating buckets as his body struggled to adjust now that he was out of the train. "Buddy, tell me the truth... I’ve lost my awesome physique, right?"
"_" Levon was speechless and helpless.
Apart from puking, their bodies were struggling to comprehend the gravity shift and other physical changes taking place.
When astronauts return from space after months and possibly years of space living, their legs feel wobbly back on the planet, and they might even faint or fall ill upon arrival.
It was funny that they’ve only been on these sonic Express train for not up to a day, and their faces looked like they had been starved for months.
Their jaws were sunken, their legs had turned into noodles, and their overall countenance looked weak. It took an additional 27 minutes for them to pick themselves up and fully adjust.
Levon and many used the Origin Breathing technique to do so, or else they might have stayed the way they were for days and perhaps weeks before they can return to their normal selves.
The train was long gone when they finally collected themselves. In fact, everyone else was gone, except for them.
—District 57.
Calculating the time, Levon and many others released elective sighs.
"Winhest said the gates open from 6 Am to 11am, and 4pm to 10 pm." Someone muttered.
"Yeah! The time is only 6 PM... so we won’t have to struggle with pushing open the gates by ourselves, right?"
"Should be."
The group of less confident newbies surprisingly chose to be bolder today, rather than always following behind whatever the top newbies like Levon did... And sure enough—Vmmm!!!
The giant gates automatically, cashing the excited group to rush in.
"Great! Great! Now we just have to find the Registration Union, head there for Department Distraction!"
"Hahahahahahahahaha~... This is so cool! I wonder what department we’ll get placed into? I hope it’s not Department 3—security."
"Yeah! Yeah! Those people are the ones that defend all Blood Line territories owned by the church. Do you know how dangerous that is?"
"No way! I think Department 3 is better than Department 4. Before, I thought I wanted to fight head on in the battleground. But now .. not so much."
"I prefer Department 1–Intelligence... I reckon it’s way safer than the others!"
