Chapter 189: A Rough Start

Arc 3, Chapter 189—A Rough Start

.

.

Many times, humanity has pondered on what Hell might really look like.

There are movies, cartoons and all sorts of fictional and biblical representations to this matter. But after what they witnessed, everyone felt the reality of it might be far more daunting than what humanity’s imagination could currently create.

(Cough, cough, cough)

The foul stench of Sulphur was just too strong.

Levon activated his Origin Breathing technique, filtering out the Sulphur particles and only breathing in the good air.

Please! The second he saw Clara and the others not affected, he and many others finally recalled the many advantages of the Origin Breathing Technique.

Only the slow ones were still coughing now.

Running at top speed, the group followed Clara, wanting to leave this cursed place that kept burning at their fragile flesh. Fortunately, their wishes came true as they ascended up various paths and finally emerged in a beautiful garden with giant purple flowers the size of homes.

Just one petal was as tall as a 2-story bedroom But flowers come from gigantic bees that have to pollinate them too, right?

"Run!!!"

Yet again, the group wanted to beat Clara and her goons to a pulp... Why did this woman always disappear in times like these?

These bees thought they were here to steal their nectar. But who the hell cares about this now?

Demons... every last one of them.

After all 377 had successfully made it past the garden of flowers, they realized the bees were chasing them and cursed Clara in their hearts.

"Good for now." Clara’s voice suddenly– bellowed. "I’m so glad you’re all grown up and can now defend yourselves. But don’t worry, it’s not too far from here... I promise."

"..." [Everyone]

LIAR!

They journeyed for another 7 hours until they finally reached their destinations. Only, they had just one question to ask:

—If the journey takes so long between both places, then how the heck do you expect them to have enough travel time to head back to the cafeteria for meals?

?????

The thought of food made their bellies rumble.

No wonder the Bloodren 9s and several other higher Bloodren groups visit the Cafeteria just once a day or a few days. It’s not that they’re too busy, but that their journey alone takes more than half a day just to eat.

So who in their right minds would go there everyday?

They suddenly missed the advantages their old him brought.

All in all, they finally reached the bottom of a mountain—a soaring piece of beauty that had what looked to be an academy, perched on its vast body.

One look and anyone could see that there were several individual but equally massive structures in there, compared to the last residence they came from.

In fact, the buildings here were even more grander than their old home, and looked to be plenty too... emphasizing just how many Bloodren 10s might actually reside there.

"Oh, surprised, are we?" Clara smirked. "I’m in a good mood today, so keep up."

’Good mood this, and good mood that... do you think you’re fuckin Winhest to use tagg good mood bullshit on us?’ many inwardly retorted but didn’t have the balls to say anything to Clara’s face.

They followed Clara up in observation.

It was 5 PM now.

The profusion of greenery looked quite picturesque underneath there were berries growing down here .. normal sized berries. grapes also displayed themselves beautifully, as did many tempting fruits they spotted along the path.

Truth be told, with the hunger that was stabbing their bellies, they would have wanted nothing more than to rush forth and grab a handful of these fruits to lessen the hunger.

However—

Several gazes panned over the dead beasts and the dead beastly skeletons they found around these fruits.

It’s poisonous, probably. Perhaps the one that would eat up alive and mummify you like it did with the unfortunate beasts that stumbled its way.

Rule number 1—Don’t eat any crops or vegetation from the outdoor world in this place, unless tested.

Only beasts were worth eating without consequence. Of course there are probably exceptions out there... but that’s something they’ll have to discover on their own.

The mountain was quite taller and grander than the little one they used to live and perch on. And when looking at the gates, you would think they were the gates of hell themselves.

It was tall, majestic, and very wide, as wide as an 8 lane road. If this was how enormous the gate and heavy the gate was... then can you know how fuckin massive the mountain they’re were on, was?

Many spoke to themselves as if trying to convince themselves that everything they saw was real.

Through the barred gates, they already spotted no less than 6 buildings spaced apart from each other... 6 brings that were eventually impressive in width. This makes one wonder if there were more buildings at the back of these 6. And sure enough they were right.

In total, this place had 11 buildings. Some smaller, and some larger. Some open, and some closed... until someone like Clara, decides to open them for public use. But that was again something they would have to discover on their own.

Clara waved and the majestic Gates flew open.

"Welcome boys and girls... to your new HOME."

....

’So this is it, huh...’ Levon’s eyes jerked with wonder. The new home was even grander than he could have imagined.

Walking in, it almost felt as though they had ventured into a Mountain town. It was vast, and quite intimidating.

Outdoors, all sorts of people waltzed about arrogantly. Some were training outdoors, others laying on the grass and sunbathing... while others held books and unknown items Levon had never seen before.

Yet it made his blood boil.

Levon noticed that although the buildings seemed randomly and haphazardly placed, they were actually done in a manner that granted each structure a spacious plain to itself. Some buildings stretched out as wide as an entire street block, while others only took up the space of half a block.

"There are 9 buildings in this estate." Clara began. "And I’m sure that none of you are blind not to see that all buildings in each Bloodren rank are connected to each other by a suspended bridge on their topmost floors."

"Listen well..." Clara continued. "All Bloodren 10s share this place with Bloodren 9s and is."

This shocked not just Levon, but everyone else. But Clara wasn’t done yet.

"The largest buildings are the residential quarters: Bloodren 10s are to the East, Bloodren 9s are to the West, and Bloodren 8s are to the far North ahead."

With Clara’s brief explanation, they understood that each Bloodren group had 2 structures to their names.

Again, didn’t they say that most structures could take up a street block in terms of length?... Honestly, both buildings for Bloodren 10s could probably fit 30,000 people spaciously.

Everyone noticed another keen matter.

The Bloodren 10 structures to the East went as high as 4 stories. However, the Bloodren 9 structures to the West went up by 5 stories. And although they couldn’t see the Bloodren 8 structures at the far North end, they speculated it probably went up 6 stories.

Despite all structures being vastly similar in length and thickness, one could still see subtle differences, highlighting superiority of each class.

The Bloodrens 8s have the better structures followed by the Bloodren 9s and then the 10s... But perhaps the grandest structures were the ones at the very center of the space.

Well, they were huge.

The remaining 3 buildings out of the 9 were placed in a triangular formation at the center, with one building completely blocking the view of the Bloodren 8 structures at the far back.

"These 3 are shared spaces." Clara explained. Only 2 out of these 3 shared buildings were available and open.

After leading them in, the gang walked through a variety of slopes and beautiful sceneries towards the Eastern parts of the Estate.

There were ponds, small streams with fishes and even small forest patches that solely belonged to the Bloodren 10s.

Levon felt this place resembled a small town or village, with each faction having its own turf.

"How crude..." someone muttered.

There was a badly chipped wooden sign at the start of the Eastern parts with 2 heads crossed with X-marks... and color them blind, weren’t those X-marks done with blood rather than paint?

Underneath the childlike drowning soft human heads, were the words—

[No 8s and 9s ALLOWED!]

The message was clear. It seems there’s a feud going on here.... After all, how can 2 pilots steer a ship, talk less of 3?

In the woods belonging to the Bloodren 10s, there were some people on trees, looking at them with side-eyes.

Levon paid no heed to them. However, he could feel their disdain from a mile away.

Shaking his head wryly, he followed Clara deeper and deeper into Bloodren 10 territory.

Already, he could tell they were in for a rough start.
