The next day, in the Security Office.

Owen came to Sherlock’s office, preparing to ask her about the results of yesterday’s interrogation and investigation.

Sherlock was currently sitting at her desk, writing and drawing on the paper.

“Miss Sherlock, may I ask if any results came out of yesterday’s interrogation?” Owen looked at Sherlock before him and asked.

“Ah... this...” Sherlock heard this, hesitated for a moment, then said, “Indeed, some relatively important information was obtained, but it’s not ruled out that the suspect has strong psychological fortitude and is using false information to try and drag more innocent people down with him.”

“So, I am currently organizing and analyzing the information collected so far. I plan to report the most accurate information to the higher authorities. Otherwise, if the information submitted is inaccurate, leading to errors in judgment from above, we cannot bear this responsibility.”

“I understand,” Owen nodded, then continued, “This matter, the Imperial Family is prepared to entrust entirely to you, Miss Sherlock, to handle. If you need anything, please let me know immediately, and I will assist you.”

“Mm, I understand.”

Owen lingered at the entrance for a few more seconds, then slowly left.

Sherlock, after finishing her conversation with Owen, continued to focus intently on the paper before her.

To clarify the overall logical flow of the case, she had been constantly deducing every possibility since she returned yesterday.

And even now, she had deduced dozens of possibilities on the paper.

Every change in detail could point to a different person.

In her deductions, the possibility of Orson being an accomplice only appeared twice, even fewer times than Arthas appeared. This also put her mind at ease quite a bit.

At least, it was highly probable that Orson had not lied to her.

She rubbed her temples and continued her work.

...

On the other side, in the prison, a new guest arrived today.

Prince Arthas came to the prison entrance. After revealing his identity, he was directly allowed to enter.

He had come this time to ask Raven clearly why he had framed him before.

His source of information in the judicial system had been cut off, preventing him from obtaining internal information. Furthermore, the case was currently still under trial. He was burning with impatience waiting, so he simply came in person.

“So it’s Your Highness the Prince. Your presence here is a great honor. Is there something you need from me?” Raven stood at the entrance, looking at Arthas, and asked.

Arthas sat before Raven, his face cold.

“You should know why. Since you killed Francois, all sorts of evidence have pointed to me, causing me almost irreparable damage to my reputation.”

“I want to know, how did you manage to frame me?” Arthas said this, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Raven.

Who knew Raven only smiled upon hearing this.

“Your Highness the Prince, is it possible that I didn’t frame you? My target was simply the Imperial Family, and coincidentally, someone wanted you to be the scapegoat?”

Raven sat on the chair, his hands resting on his legs. He seemed very relaxed, completely unlike someone who was lying.

“Hmph,” Arthas did not indulge Raven. He opened the door of the cell, walked in, and directly grabbed the other party by the collar.

“You think this can cause turmoil within the Empire?”

“You are already at such a dead end, and you are still thinking of dragging others down with you, are you?”

“You can’t escape death yourself, so you want others to take the fall for you? Do you think I don’t know what you’re thinking?!”

Saying this, he threw a punch, heavily striking Raven on the side of his face.

Raven took the blow, his eyes seeing stars, but he still turned his head.

He did not show anger. Instead, he revealed a smile.

“That’s why you are like this.”

He said this, a hint of mockery in his tone.

“What did you say!?” Arthas became even more angry upon hearing the other party dare to mock him. He forcefully threw the other party against the wall. However, this level of injury was nothing to a Tier 8 expert.

“Perhaps you should think, Your Highness the Prince, what reason would I have, or rather, my previous master, Giovanni, what reason would he have to specifically target you?”

“Wasn’t his relationship with you quite good?”

“But he colluded with cultists and became a servant of demons. From that moment on, he and I no longer had any dealings!”

Arthas heard this and quickly distanced himself from Giovanni.

“I know, the entire Empire fears demons. I can also understand your actions. Giovanni understands even more.”

“It’s just...” Raven said this, raising his head to look at Arthas.

“Do you truly believe that only we want to see the Empire in chaos?”

“You want to become a great ruler, I know. Therefore, Your Highness Arthas, what you should be doing now is cutting out the tumor buried within, isn’t it?”

“Allowing the other party to continue developing like this will only lead to another disaster for the Empire, won’t it?”

Arthas listened to Raven’s words, and his clenched fist relaxed.

“But that doesn’t give you, a criminal, the right to teach me how to rule the nation.”

“I certainly won’t teach you how to rule the nation. But, don’t you want to settle accounts? As you said, with the person who truly framed you in the dark.” Raven stood up, spreading his arms.

“You can certainly believe that I am the true mastermind behind everything. You can even execute me here and now. I will not resist. However, please think carefully. If I die, it will only allow the person who truly framed you in the first place to remain beyond the reach of the law.”

Raven’s words were like seeds taking root and sprouting in Arthas’s mind. The firm words couldn’t help but make Arthas feel a hint of doubt.

But Arthas still shook his head. When he raised his head again, his eyes were full of determination.

“You are the fuse for everything. I will not let you go. The law will not either. Your only fate is death.”

“As for the person who framed me in the dark, if they truly exist, I will certainly not let them off. But it is not for you to make comments here!”

After leaving these harsh words, he turned around and left the cell.

Raven sat back down in the corner of the cell, looking at Arthas’s retreating back, and let out a mocking laugh.

“You can only be a pawn too.”

...

Imperial Academy, approaching the end of the semester. The repeatedly delayed practical training was finally about to begin. Each class would head to their travel location under the guidance of their supervising teacher, which was their homeroom teacher.

Because there had already been an incident fighting against the beastmen in the first half of the semester, the duration of the practical training in the second half was reduced by half, and the weighting of the score was ultimately decided to be half of previous years.

This time of year was the most deserted period for the Imperial Academy. Not only were the students gone, but even the teachers went to protect the students’ safety. The vendors had no business during this time and also took leave to go home.

Only the academy’s security was still operating normally, and the manpower was even increased several times over compared to usual.

Due to the different practical training locations, the departure times for each class also differed. The practical training location for Orson’s class was the snowfields in northern Lucia. This was also the practical training location for Litte’s class. Thus, the two classes chose to depart on the same day.
