Chapter 94: Chapter 94

In just 20 hours, they had adapted to a point where they were physically equal to Watts.

It was a staggering feat. The power of Supreme Human adaptation was terrifying.

Under normal circumstances, it would take years, even decades, to achieve the kind of physical strength Watts had.

But here they were, standing tall, their bodies transformed into weapons that could rival even high-tier level twos.

If this had been a true battle of life and death, the adaptation process might have taken only 5 hours.

Watts crossed his arms, nodding in approval. "Not bad. Not bad at all."

Liz wiped the sweat from her brow, breathing heavily. "Damn... that was insane."

Layla, still sulking slightly but clearly proud of herself, smirked. "I guess I’m a badass now, huh?"

Watts grinned. "You always were. But now, you’re just an overpowered badass."

They all shared a laugh, the tension finally easing. But Watts knew their training was far from over.

Layla still needed to fully master her ability to control force, and Liz needed a reliable method of defending herself in dire situations.

And so, their journey continued.

The air around them was crisp and still, charged with the lingering energy of their earlier battle.

After hours of grueling training, Watts, Layla, and Liz finally took a well-deserved break.

The transformation had done wonders for them, enhancing their physical capabilities to almost incomprehensible levels, but their bodies still required rest, especially after their forced adaptation.

After freshening up with a refreshing bath, they gathered in a sleek, modern lounge created in the Literal Realm.

Layla and Liz lounged on the plush sofas, their bodies aching but brimming with new power.

Watts, standing before them, had a mischievous grin on his face as he addressed them.

"I am going to send you both back home," he began, his tone casual. "However, it will be a different home."

The two women exchanged confused glances. Watts merely chuckled before elaborating,

"So basically, I am the richest human alive on Earth. I have shares in most of the major corporations—huge shares. My influence reaches into every sector, in every country. I own countless lands, estates, luxury cars, you name it. I even have three private islands."

Silence filled the room. Layla and Liz stared at him, their expressions frozen in disbelief.

Watts continued, enjoying their shock.

"Countless businesses are now under my name, and my AI is currently working on consolidating all of my assets under my own mega-company, ’The Wattson Family.’ In about a month or two, it will be the largest multitrillion-dollar enterprise in history."

Liz, who was usually composed and unfazed by almost anything, had an expression of utter disbelief.

Layla, on the other hand, blinked at him repeatedly before scoffing, her brain still struggling to process what she had just heard.

"Sorry, but how the fuck do you expect us to believe that?" Layla finally blurted out, her voice laced with incredulity.

Watts smirked. "Oh, ye of little faith," he teased, his arms crossed over his chest.

Liz cleared her throat and asked the question that had been lingering in both their minds. "I believe you, but how long have you been this wealthy?"

Watts let out an amused chuckle.

"Oh, it’s only been about a week since I developed my AI and instructed it to make me the wealthiest man alive. The accumulation of wealth is actually still ongoing, as I gain new properties and businesses almost every hour. So even I haven’t seen the full extent of my own empire yet."

Layla’s jaw nearly hit the floor. Her usually snarky and teasing demeanor was momentarily overridden by pure shock.

"Wait—hold on—you developed an AI?" she asked, staring at him like he had just grown a second head.

Watts tilted his head slightly, looking at her with mild confusion. "I fail to see how that’s surprising," he said, raising an eyebrow.

Liz let out a small giggle, clearly amused, while Layla shot Watts a look of utter disbelief.

"Well, mister, forgive me for being the party pooper, but until a while ago, I was just a normal girl going to school with normal kids, still thinking superpowers were nothing but fantasy. Now, not only do I have powers, but you’re telling me you casually created a goddamn AI, so yeah... it’s surprising,"

Watts grinned, shrugging. "Fair point."

He decided to wrap up the conversation and get things moving.

Without another word, he snapped his fingers, and the three of them disappeared from the lounge, reappearing a moment later at the training grounds where the rescued individuals were undergoing their own brutal adaptation process.

The moment they arrived, the scene before them was chaotic yet structured.

The clone Watts had left behind was systematically beating the hell out of every single recruit, forcing them to push beyond their limits.

The training method was brutal, but it was undeniably effective. Even in the short time Watts had been gone, the progress was astonishing.

Supreme humans naturally had an advanced capacity for learning and adaptation, making even a single day of training feel like a thousand.

The moment the recruits saw the original Watts appear with two new people, they immediately ceased their activities and stood at attention.

Their discipline had clearly improved in the few hours under the clone’s rule.

Liz, watching the recruits, turned to Watts with curiosity.

"Who are they?" she asked, scanning the group.

Watts, hands in his pockets, replied casually, "People I rescued from the same lab you were in."

Layla let out an understanding ’Oh,’ as she observed them.

The rescued were a diverse group—men and women of different backgrounds, now transformed into supreme humans.

Their expressions carried a mix of determination and fear, but more than anything, they looked eager to prove themselves.

Watts surveyed them before speaking.

"I see you’ve improved. That’s good," he acknowledged, his voice carrying authority. "But it’s not nearly enough. You’re nowhere near where I need you to be."

The recruits remained silent, awaiting his next words. Watts took a moment before continuing,

"Anyway, that’s a matter for later. Right now, I need four of you with knowledge in business to volunteer. ASAP."

A murmur spread through the group as they exchanged glances, gauging who among them was qualified.

Watts, his expression unreadable, waited patiently.

He wasn’t just looking for people with business knowledge—he needed individuals he could trust to manage certain aspects of his growing empire.

If he was going to execute his larger plans, he needed competent people handling the groundwork.

Layla and Liz, still processing the absurdity of Watts’ wealth, stood silently by his side, waiting to see who would step forward.

This was only the beginning.

The tension in the training area was palpable as twelve individuals immediately stepped forward, volunteering for the task Watts had just announced.

Without hesitation, he activated his Eyes of the Universe, scanning each of them thoroughly.

He needed individuals who were not only knowledgeable in business but also fiercely loyal—betrayal was not something he could afford, especially when it came to the safety of his only family.

From the twelve, he selected two women who appeared to be in their early thirties and two teen girls.

While some of the men might have been more qualified, Watts had no intention of leaving his sister or aunt in the care of unfamiliar men.

Call it paranoia or overprotectiveness, but the idea alone made his skin crawl.

The women, on the other hand, would not only be more comfortable with his family but could also form stronger bonds with them.

It was simply a better option.

However, Layla, sharp as ever, caught on to his reasoning almost immediately.

She leaned in close and whispered into his ear with a teasing tone,

"Hmm, seems my brother doesn’t want any males near his beloved sister and aunt?"

Watts barely flinched at her words, maintaining his composed demeanor. "I have no idea what you’re talking about," he responded smoothly, pretending to be oblivious.

Before Layla could press the matter further, he turned to address the rest of the group.

"These two here are my family—my only family, to be exact," he stated, his voice carrying an air of authority that made the room fall dead silent.

"Disobeying or disrespecting them is the same as doing it to me. And that," he paused, letting his words settle, "is not something you want to do."

His gaze swept over the volunteers before locking onto the four he had chosen.

"As for you four, you will be going with my family into the normal world. Your primary duty is to protect them because your lives depend on it. Additionally, you will assist them in managing their affairs while they adapt to their new lives."

At that moment, Watts unleashed a fraction of his death aura, subtly directing it at the four, then expanding it to the entire group.

It was only a mere trace, but it was more than enough.

The effect was immediate and severe—faces turned ghostly pale, bodies stiffened, and even the act of breathing seemed to become a conscious effort for them.

Fear was etched deep into their very souls, and in that instant, he was no longer just a man in their eyes; he was death itself.

If only they knew how true that was.
