Chapter 85: Chapter 85

Watts stood by the massive window of the skyscraper, staring out at the breathtaking cityscape stretching endlessly before him.

He was inside the Tower, the most important and dangerous building in the entire city, a beacon of power and dominance that marked the influence of the ruling family.

The Tower wasn’t just a structure; it was a statement—a proclamation of the Mijjory family’s authority over Min City.

Every mini-city within Aelon had one, and each served as the nerve center of governance, security, and advanced technology.

The view was something beyond imagination. The hidden city of Min was nothing like the normal world he was used to.

It was a fusion of old and new, blending the elegance of the Middle Ages with the marvels of high-tech civilization.

Towering spires and gothic castles lined the streets alongside floating platforms, glowing billboards, and sleek hover cars weaving through the air in perfectly organized traffic.

Bridges of pure energy connected buildings, and translucent walkways hovered midair, allowing pedestrians to walk effortlessly between structures suspended high above the ground.

Watts had spent hours touring the city before finally arriving at the Tower.

He had wanted to understand what made these hidden cities so different, and now he had his answer.

The streets were alive with activity—markets bursting with exotic goods from across the galaxy, bustling trade districts filled with merchants negotiating in languages he didn’t recognize, and advanced robotic assistants helping shoppers carry their wares.

He had walked through the neon-lit entertainment districts, where holographic performances and live battles between elite warriors took place in packed arenas.

There were even floating islands above the city, private estates belonging to the wealthiest and most powerful individuals.

What truly amazed him was the diversity.

Unlike the surface world, where humans dominated, Min City was home to a vast array of races from all over the galaxy.

Watts had seen beings with crystalline skin, others with multiple limbs, and even creatures that looked like they had walked straight out of mythology.

Yet, despite their differences, they coexisted in harmony.

There was no segregation or discrimination; these people weren’t treated as outcasts or anomalies.

They lived their lives just like anyone else, blending seamlessly into the fabric of the city.

The sight alone spoke volumes about the level of civilization here—far beyond what the surface world had achieved.

Power. That was the true currency of Min City. Watts had noticed it immediately.

Wealth and status here weren’t determined by money alone but by sheer strength.

Those who held influence were not just rich but also terrifyingly powerful.

Even in the market streets, he had sensed the presence of beings who could shatter entire suns with a mere thought, yet they walked among ordinary citizens like normal people, casually buying fruit and conversing with vendors.

Almost everyone in the city carried a weapon, whether visible or concealed, and many of them radiated an aura of overwhelming strength.

It was a city of warriors. A place where only the strong thrived.

Using his Eyes of the Universe, Watts had spent time analyzing the layout of Min City, searching for deeper secrets hidden beneath its mesmerizing surface.

He had found something intriguing—a massive portal system located at the heart of the city, deep inside the Tower.

These portals weren’t ordinary; they were advanced gateways leading not only to other hidden cities within Aelon but also to other planets entirely.

The implications were staggering.

This meant that Min City wasn’t just an isolated metropolis—it was part of a vast, interconnected network spanning the galaxy, a secret civilization hidden in plain sight.

The temptation to step through one of those portals was strong, but Watts knew better than to act on impulse.

There was still much he didn’t understand about the politics and power struggles at play here. For now, gathering information was his priority.

He needed to know how the city functioned, who the key players were, and where he stood in the grand scheme of things.

For now, he wouldn’t step through the portals. Not yet. There would be time for that later.

As he stood there, gazing down at the city below, Watts felt an odd sense of excitement creeping into his chest.

He had spent so long living in the normal world, believing he understood the limits of reality. But now, he realized just how small his previous world had been.

Here, in Min City, the possibilities were endless.

It was a place where power was everything, where the strong ruled, and where the weak either adapted or perished.

A new world. A new game. And he had every intention of mastering it.

His eyes flickered back to the Tower’s interior, his mind already racing with plans. He wasn’t just here to observe—he was here to change the game. And soon, everyone in Min City would know his name.

Watts, however, had something far more important to do before anything else.

While the city of Min dazzled with its exotic mix of medieval and sci-fi aesthetics, he had matters to attend to in a realm where very few dared to tread—the Literal Realm.

There, his aunt Liz and sister Layla had long since awakened, and from what he could sense, they were with Nova, changing the realm to their liking like two excited little girls playing house.

Actually, now that he thought about it, all three of them were female. His sister, his aunt, and his pet—Nova.

That technically made him the odd one out. A chuckle escaped him as he considered the situation.

Did that mean he was going to be bossed around by a trio of excitable women? Not that he minded; it was amusing in its own way.

The Literal Realm was ever-present but rarely utilized. Only those with absolute control over its laws could shape it to their will. Watts had long mastered this power and, as such, had granted his sister, aunt, and Nova limited access. They couldn’t affect the fundamental laws, but they could at least conjure food, alter scenery, and create their own comfortable living space. From what he had seen, they had taken full advantage of this privilege.

They were incredibly happy, playing around as if they hadn’t a single care in the world. In a way, that was good. It meant they weren’t worrying about him. It was a rare sight—his sister laughing, his aunt genuinely enjoying herself, and Nova being pampered as the adorable creature she was.

However, as much as he wanted to see them, there was one major issue he had to address before entering the Literal Realm.

The Mijjory family had eyes everywhere, and the tower itself was rigged with security measures beyond conventional understanding.

One particular formation embedded within the tower’s foundation prevented teleportation or spatial displacement.

No one could enter or leave through such means without setting off alarms, and should the Mijjory family discover that Watts could bypass it, suspicions would arise.

The last thing he wanted was for them to overestimate him.

Keeping them in the dark was the better strategy.

So, instead of teleporting outright, he took a far more discreet approach.

His control over death allowed him to manipulate souls and, by extension, create illusions.

Carefully crafting an illusion of himself sitting on the luxurious sofa in his room, he ensured that if anyone monitored him, they would see what they expected—a man lost in deep thought, perhaps dozing off after a long day.

With the illusion set in place, he phased out of reality and into the Literal Realm.

In the blink of an eye, he arrived at his intended destination.

The sight before him was nothing short of impressive.

The entire area had been altered to resemble a luxurious five-star penthouse in the Middle East.

A breathtaking skyline stretched beyond massive glass windows, golden light reflecting off intricate decor, and the sound of people laughing and eating filled the air.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, radiating an almost surreal sense of peace.

At the center of it all, seated around an exquisitely designed table, were the three most important women in his life.

His aunt Liz, regal as ever but looking far more relaxed than she ever had in the outside world.

His sister Layla, her usual cautious demeanor replaced with something more childlike, an actual smile on her lips.

And, of course, Nova—the ever-adorable fluffball, chirping happily as she basked in their attention.

It was Nova who first noticed his presence. Her large, gleaming eyes widened before she let out an excited chirp and bolted straight into his chest.

Watts let out a soft laugh as he caught her, feeling the familiar warmth of her small form rubbing affectionately against him.

Layla, who had been watching this with amusement, suddenly crossed her arms and pouted.

"Hmph, traitor Nova. The moment you see him, you forget about us."

Her mock indignation only made everyone laugh. Liz smirked, taking a sip of what looked like some high-end beverage.

"So, Watts, are you joining us, or are you just here to play with Nova?" she asked, her voice tinged with amusement.

Watts grinned. "Absolutely."

With that, he pulled up a chair and joined them at the table, ready to enjoy a rare moment of peace in the ever-chaotic world that surrounded him.
