Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Watts approached the unveiled suit, its sleek design a masterpiece of technological innovation.

It was not just a tool or a weapon—it was a culmination of vision, necessity, and the meticulous effort of his AI, Black Box.

The suit exuded a sleek and menacing elegance, its metallic-black surface interwoven with subtle streaks of gunmetal gray that pulsed faintly like living veins of energy.

Its design was streamlined yet robust, with angular armor plates and glowing accents at key joints.

A faint shimmer of an energy field danced across its surface, radiating advanced sophistication.

Watts stood frozen, his eyes tracing every detail of the suit that lay before him.

The sleek armor was a masterpiece, radiating an air of both technological sophistication and raw power.

Its surface shimmered faintly with a deep black hue, interwoven with subtle gray patterns that pulsed like veins with energy.

"This," he murmured, his voice a mix of awe and satisfaction, "is something else."

Black Box’s voice echoed through the room. "This is the culmination of the parameters you set, Watts. A system designed to adapt to your unique needs."

Watts approached, running his hand across the cool, metallic surface of the suit. "Go on, Black Box. Walk me through it."

Black Box began, her tone as precise as always. "The suit integrates thirteen critical systems to ensure versatility and efficiency in any environment:

Adaptive Self-Repair System: Nanotechnology embedded within the suit ensures rapid self-repair in case of damage.

Modular Weapon Integration: Allows for seamless attachment and deployment of a variety of weapons, tailored to specific missions.

Advanced Energy Manipulation and Shields: Equipped with dynamic shielding capable of deflecting or absorbing various energy types, alongside energy redirection systems.

Augmented Reality Combat and Tactical Interface: Provides a comprehensive heads-up display with real-time tactical analysis, enemy threat assessments, and environment mapping.

Extreme Mobility Systems: Thrusters, grappling systems, and adaptive leg mechanisms for unmatched agility in any terrain.

Autonomous AI Assistant: Integrated directly with me, Black Box, for unparalleled operational support.

Life Support and Bio-Augmentation: Full oxygenation, toxin filtration, and physical enhancements to amplify your capabilities.

Energy Core with Infinite or Prolonged Power Supply: Utilizing an advanced quantum energy matrix for near-infinite power.

Matter Manipulation and Fabrication: On-the-fly creation and adjustment of tools, ammunition, or small devices.

Quantum Communication and Hacking System: Access and infiltrate even the most advanced networks securely.

Environmental Adaptation System: Tailors the suit’s functionality to extreme climates, pressures, or hostile environments.

Neural Synchronization and Mental Augmentation: Directly connects with your mind, enhancing cognitive speed and memory.

Self-Synchronization Technology: A groundbreaking feature that allows for cellular-level fusion with its user.

Watts let the weight of Black Box’s explanation sink in. This was more than a technological marvel.

This was a replacement for what he had lost—and potentially even greater.

Watts’ eyes narrowed with interest at the last point. "Self-synchronization... You’re saying this thing can become part of me?"

"Precisely," Black Box confirmed.

"Once the integration process is complete, the suit will bond with your cells, making it indistinguishable from your biological body. It will be part of you—functioning seamlessly, controlled as easily as your own limbs, and providing the full range of its capabilities wherever you go. This will effectively serve as a replacement for your technopathy."

Watts circled the suit slowly, considering the implications.

He had always relied on his technopathy to dominate and reshape his surroundings, but this was something new—a fusion of man and machine that would not just emulate his lost ability but potentially exceed it.

That is if he added a few more features to make it more versatile and able to affect a very wide range like his technopathy.

"This is it," Watts said after a moment, his voice firm. "This is what I need."

He turned to a nearby console and initiated the integration sequence.

The room dimmed, and the suit began to emit a low hum as panels and mechanisms shifted, preparing for synchronization.

"Are you certain about this, Watts?" Black Box asked. "This process might fundamentally alter your biology."

Watts smirked, stepping toward the suit. "Absolutely."

However at this time, Nova chirped and used her beak to bonk on his head to get his attention.

She then flew and landed on the suit’s shoulder, looking at Watts with a slightly tilted face.

"Oh, seems like you don’t like the idea." Watts smiles as he walks to the nearby table and sits.

Nova follows and lands on one of the weapons there.

"Seriously, I don’t think I understand exactly what am doing." Watts continues, seemingly lost in thought.

"I mean, it has been one hell of a ride, from your planet, to whatever took place later, I haven’t even sat down to think. And honestly, I don’t want to." Watts added in melochany.

And as is sensing his distress. Nova flew to him and rubbed her little beak face on his neck.

Watts smiled a bit and caressed the little lad.

"All I want to do is save my family, then I can think later. I just want to be impulsive, do things without thinking much, because honestly, I don’t have time for it."

"I know I might come up with way better plans if I sat down and planned well, but I don’t know why, but my heart refuses.... for some reason."

"I don’t know if what am doing is right, but I know it will help me reach my end goal." Watts smiled.

Nova chirped a little happy. As if she had understood him and was encouraging him.

"Thanx Nova," he laughed.

And so with that, although he wasn’t sure himself of what he was doing, he had no second thoughts.

So he stepped into the open frame, feeling the cool embrace of the suit’s interior as it closed around him presence.

Its plates shifted, opening like petals to envelop him. Energy pulsed as the suit fused to his body, nanites integrating seamlessly into his cellular structure.

Pain rippled through him momentarily, but he gritted his teeth, determined to see it through.

Data and sensations flooded his mind. He could feel the suit becoming a part of him, its systems syncing with his thoughts. The connection was seamless, natural.

His vision sharpened, and the world around him seemed clearer and more vibrant.

"How do you feel?" Black Box asked.

Watts opened and closed his hands, marveling at how natural it felt. "Like it’s always been there."

Now this is what he needed. He might have lost his technopathy, but with this, then the plan would remain the same.

You remember initially he had wanted to enter the hidden cities and then use his technopathy to enter into their networks and learn every single knowledge there.

He wanted to learn and evolve his ability until he can enter their real servers and control the cities subtly without them ever finding out.

That would mean that every single command to capture him, he would get. Every plan they made, he would know.

What does that mean?

Means he would essentially be untouchable. He would know where they are looking, he would know when they were coming, he would know everything.

Plus for cities like those where even his powerful technopathy couldn’t find them unless he entered there physically, then he would get more from hacking into them.

He knew, from the knowledge he got from Gwen and then the members of the order that it would practically be impossible to hack into them, but he had a plan.

Thanks to the knowledge he now had, he knew just where to start from, and he would be inside the system in no time.

These hidden cities were veiled sanctuaries, their spires cloaked by holographic skies and shielded by unbreachable energy fields.

They housed technology capable of reshaping the very fabric of reality, their archives guarded by AI systems that made even Black Box seem primitive.

Though that was about to change in just a few hours from now, because unlike their AIs, black box could evolve.

And there wasn’t even a chance of her evolving and becoming an Ultron planning on destroying the world like in Marvel.

Why? You ask?

Well, because she was created by technopathy, and she was given the most important part of her code was to love humanity.

She would slowly eat up the knowledge, evolve to heights that none of their AIs could reach.

Watts’ lips curled into a smile as he envisioned cracking their defenses, peeling back the layers of secrecy one by one.

Their knowledge was a treasure trove he intended to claim—not just for himself but for his growing dominion over the technological landscape.

"I want you to start with the first city we encounter," Watts said. "Tap into their systems, gain access to their archives, and evolve. Use their knowledge to enhance both yourself and me."

"Understood. And what of the cities themselves?"

A sly smile crossed Watts’ face. "We’ll infiltrate them all. Subtly, quietly. They’ll never know what hit them."

Now it was time to go to the hidden city where his family was being held.

After all this time, it seems it was now time for him to confront his greatest enemies and understand more about himself.

And why the hell they were after him.
