I Really Am A Villain
Ch. 169 - Fierce Battle

📢 New Novel Launch!

"What can you possibly use to go against the True Martial Sacred Ground? Your Soaring Immortal Physique has been taken, and your cultivation has fallen back to the Meridian Forging Realm," Lin Yuqing said.

"Even if the Baili Clan wanted to help you, I doubt they have the strength."

"But I have a good idea. You might want to consider it."

"What idea?" Baili Xiao asked after some thought.

"You absolutely cannot touch the True Martial Sacred Ground. The Grand Empress’ lineage is also my lineage, and I need their support," Lin Yuqing said. "But I can help you get rid of that boy, Xu Zimo."

"What would I have to pay for that?" Baili Xiao asked.

She knew, nothing in this world comes free.

"Relax your mind and allow our souls to fully merge. Let me awaken completely ahead of time and take control of this body," Lin Yuqing replied. "Think it over. Even if you say no now, one day I’ll take control anyway, it’s just a matter of time. But when that time comes, I might not be willing to help you get your revenge."

Hearing this, Baili Xiao slowly lifted her head and stared into the dense darkness ahead.

She sank into deep silence.

She only remembered how thick the night had been that evening, with a soft breeze brushing through the courtyard pavilion.

She never expected things to reach this point. All she’d wanted at the beginning was to rise above the crowd… and be with the one she loved.

The darkness around her roared like a beast, silently devouring her whole.

…

Inside the Hidden Realm, Xu Zimo had just finished listening to the Leaf of Life’s explanation and stored it away.

He looked around at the deep pit he stood in, over a thousand meters wide and deep.

The Tree of Life had once been rooted here, but one day, it left.

And all it left behind was a single leaf, yet even that contained life energy greater than the Spring of Life, the tenth-ranked supreme treasure in the world.

"Kid, I’ve told you everything you wanted to know. Just let me go," the ancient voice from the leaf pleaded.

"Did I say I was going to let you go?" Xu Zimo shook his head and ignored the loud shouting, storing the leaf in his storage ring.

What really moved Xu Zimo was the Tree of Life itself. He didn’t know what kind of existence it was, but if even a fallen leaf from it had its own consciousness…

Then how terrifying must the Tree itself be?

Now that the Leaf of Life was gone, the Hidden Realm began to tremble violently.

Explosions erupted around him. The fearsome trees with human faces began to wither without the leaf’s support.

They had lived here for ages, drawing strength from the leaf. It had allowed them to help scare off intruders.

Now that they were dying, countless cracks began splitting the realm.

Eventually, with a series of thunderous explosions, the entire Hidden Realm shattered like broken glass.

Xu Zimo felt himself become weightless as the realm fully collapsed.

His Paragon Meridian Realm aura surged. He stepped into the air and flew out through one of the cracks.

Not long after, he looked back to see the entire realm reduced to rubble.

…

Outside the Hidden Realm, more than a dozen elders from the Bear Tribe had been standing watch for some time.

By now, Little Gui had already been subdued. These elders radiated overwhelming pressure as they saw Xu Zimo fly out.

Their auras locked onto him instantly, forming a dense wave of pressure that pushed down on him.

"Gentlemen, what’s the meaning of this?" Xu Zimo asked with mild interest.

"Hand over what you found in the Hidden Realm, and we’ll let you walk away," the leading elder said loudly.

"And what if I say I didn’t get anything?" Xu Zimo asked.

"Then hand over everything you’re carrying," the elder replied.

Xu Zimo chuckled, drew Shadow Tyrant, and slashed without hesitation.

"A bunch of ants… and you dare to rob me?"

Endless thunder fell from the heavens. The elder raised both hands, spiritual energy surging. A bear-shaped phantom flickered behind him.

He caught the divine lightning in his hands, the bear roared in fury.

Though he managed to block the lightning, the overwhelming force of Xu Zimo’s blade still blasted him backward.

He crashed to the ground, smashing a small crater into the earth.

With a roar, the elder flew out of the pit, hair a mess, clothes tattered, eyes full of caution as he looked at Xu Zimo hovering above.

"This guy’s no rogue cultivator… He’s definitely from a powerful sect," the elder muttered.

The other elders frowned deeply. One of them snorted coldly, "That just means we definitely can’t let him go."

"Relax. No one’s leaving alive today," Xu Zimo smiled as he raised his blade.

His figure blurred like a flash of light, killing intent streaking down from the sky.

"My favorite thing… is cutting down so-called geniuses. Before you’ve even had time to grow, you’re nothing."

The dozen elders unleashed their peak Paragon Meridian Realm auras. The entire space rumbled.

Each elder summoned a bear phantom, heavy pressure and yellow spiritual energy pouring from their bodies.

Xu Zimo laughed softly and activated the first ten forms of the Nineteen Forms of Dao-Seeking.

A single blade strike swept down from the sky.

Gales roared. The Blade of Slaughter carried endless crimson killing energy, flooding the skies.

Wind and clouds turned into a massive dragon that roared above the horizon.

Heaven and earth split in two. The Death Canopy fell, cloaking the sun with an aura of pure death.

In that moment, three elders were reduced to nothing but blood mist.

The mist scattered in midair. Several others were badly wounded, falling to the ground bleeding.

The land split open into a bottomless chasm, blood seas boiling within, lightning crackling.

The Bear Tribe’s chieftain stood dumbfounded, eyes wide.

His heart pounded wildly, as if a hundred thousand divine beasts were stampeding inside.

"Why… why are we both in the Paragon Meridian Realm… yet you’re this strong?"

Seeing so many elders either dead or wounded, the chieftain snapped out of it.

He stepped forward and grabbed Little Gui by the neck.

Spiritforce surged through his hands as he looked at Xu Zimo, voice trembling.

"Let me go, and I’ll release him. I don’t want anything else."

"I hate being threatened the most," Xu Zimo shook his head and walked toward him slowly.

"Little Gui… rest easy. I’ll avenge you."
